Report: NFL Shocks Fans With Updated Statement on “Kneeling”
Gooddell publicly apologized Friday for not “listening” to black players when they spoke out about racism.
The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, released a statement on Friday, on behalf of the league signifying “we were wrong” on how they handled the player protests of kneeling during the National Anthem.
This apology comes 10 days into the national protests and civil unrest in cities nationwide in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Another factor was New Orleans star quarterback Drew Brees who on Wednesday said that he would never support anyone that knelt during the National Anthem but did a 180-degree turn when called out by prominent black NFL players the next day.

“We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people,” Goodell said. “We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest.
“We, the National Football League, believe black lives matter. I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country. Without black players, there would be no National Football League. And the protests around the country are emblematic of the centuries of silence, inequality and oppression of black players, coaches, fans and staff.”

Even Abraham Lincoln was vandalized in D.C.. They are determined to destroy and rewrite history and rearrange our culture and traditions.

Yes, the NFL said that in the next CBA they would get rid of the kneeling, staying in the locker room like cowardly treasonous scum and the National Anthem not being played on TV. They will break all of those promises this season. They will lose tons of fans, the stadiums will remain mostly empty when they re-open and the ratings will go down again. They also have a TV contract coming up soon. Only an idiot would give them any kind of big money.

I guess there are still many blacks who like being oppressed. That is all Democrats have done for them. I don’t think these NFL salaries show oppression or that they dominate allot of football teams. To earn that spot was based on MERIT!

I knew several players from the university in the town where I used to live that went into the NFL during the 1970’s and 80’s. Top salary was $85 grand a season. The highest paid player of that era was Walter Payton.
Getting in and playing in that league was about merit more than money. Now, it’s the other way around.

I used to have DirectTV’s Superfan Sunday Ticket. ALL the games. Highlights called Quick Cuts. Red Zone plus a few others.
Cut the connection 3 years ago and haven’t watched any NFL games since. I look at the standings once in a while, but that’s it.
I suggest that Goodell takes the entire league, the entire regular season schedule to Europe China and French Polynesia. See if anyone in those places cares to spend money on this anti American crap!

Boycott without end: I have been boycotting the NFL every year since Michael Vick did dogs dirty. Every year since I hope my boycott can end. Every year they find a new reason for my boycott to continue. I was hoping this season would be different. Alas. Alack. My friends ask me: “Why should you suffer?” I ask them: “Why do you submit?” They need us more than we need them. Coincidental you should ask that. I was pissed off enough about the flag and Anthem kneeling until shortly thereafter when O’Dell Beckham, Jr. scored a TD and then crawled around in the end zone imitating an urinating dog.
