In the UK I wear white shorts, jeans, tops all the time in summer – its a cool colour. Mind you I was told in Pret not to ask for a ‘white coffee’ – that was racist – but ‘coffee with milk.’ Pret is owned by MacD’s. Sort of, but not in the original scripture. They started out being called, by Yahweh, “Children of Israel.” Then they crossed the Jordan, and were called Hebrews. (Hebrew means “to cross over”) Then other peoples began calling them Jews because of the area of Judah, which many lived. Then the religion was called Judaism. “Jew” was used to shorten Judahism and/or Judah. Basically, Yeshua is a Hebrew for you and me. 🙂 (His mama didn’t call Him Jesus).

It’s much easier to destroy then create. The vile behavior we are witnessing in our cities says more about the sad state of parenting and child rearing than anything. It has little to do with improving the lives of Black Americans because it won’t. Instead, it has everything to do with multiple generations of single parenting, divorce, neglect, child abuse, drug abuse, and a healthy dose of political indoctrination in our schools.
This is childish acting out. Everyone knows there is still injustice in the world and that black people among others deserve to be treated more fairly. We don’t need a bunch of mostly self-absorbed, spoiled rotten white kids to lecture us about that. Change never starts with a mob, it starts within an individual.
Most of these protesters live in segregated white urban neighborhoods (in Seattle, NYC, LA, SF, Chicago), miles from the crime-ridden black neighborhoods they wouldn’t dare live in. It’s just rank hypocrisy.
What really angers these people is not injustice, but facing up to the harsh reality of their own mediocrity and lack of accomplishment. Choosing to express ones’ personal anger and pain by hiding behind the collective rage of the mob is what weak self-loathing cowards do.
Can anyone in America name even one person that has emerged as a leader of this social movement? That’s because it has none. This “movement” is really a random mass of people linked through social media technology that have been programmed to respond to propaganda. It’s a modern exercise in mass conformity. It lacks leaders because that would undermine the conformity of the mob. True leaders like Martin Luther King dissent, negotiate, plan, compromise, and speak the truth. This movement is constructed on clicks, lies, half truths, and myth.
Hopefully this mechanized mob will run out of gas and passion. Without leadership, it’s inevitable. In the unlikely event it continues to metastasize, only force will destroy it.

Hair, eye color have nothing to do with anything. Jews tend to pick up the protective coloration and looks of the people whose lands they inhabit. Euro Jews look white, sephardic Jews tend to look Medit dark, or even Yemenite dark.
I am lightly freckled with hazel eyes, my Mom and Dad both had black hair, my sister is olive complexioned with light brown hair. What Shaun fails to see is that Egypt, Alexandria, etc. were taken over by the Greeks under Alexander the Great several hundred years before Jesus’s birth. Yes, Cleopatra was probably white, being a Greek ancestor. So, Jesus might have passed for a Greek in Egypt. In any case, I have always thought of Jesus as a Jew. His family traces back to the family of David.
Having Jew appear as a white European is probably is probably due to a natural narcissism, since there are no photographs of Jesus as a reference. It’s an old observation that many artists often put their own faces on portraits of others.. In short, Shaun, there are other more plausible explanations for why the pictures have white features.

I was traveling in the Middle East about 50 years ago when I met a Swiss girl. She invited me to her place, where she had a framed portrait of a black man. I asked if it was Jimi Hendrix, and she got insulted.
She explained this was Jesus, as he really was. He was not a white, blue-eyed, light-colored hair person, but a Jew of that period.
So it seems that as the idea of Jesus moved through Europe, he became whiter and whiter. And, when Christianity started to spread in Africa, matters became “complicated.”
If Jesus were alive today, he would be appalled. Being a Jew, he would not have cared for the idea of “Jesus is God” idea, and as to being worshiped as such, would have objected. It was the Greeks who elevated him to God-status, and in fact, it fits in with their previous Pagan beliefs.
Christianity is based on Faith. Jesus is the symbol of God. As a symbol, all that is needed is recognition. If you see Jesus as either black or white, that is your perception of how he was and should have no bearing on your faith in him. Skin color does not matter.

Your version of the bible is full of inconsistencies. Please understand that the word or tittle Messiah does not mean a god of any sort, but Christians don’t see this.
The Jewish bible had Jews waiting for a Messiah who would decend from certain bloodlines, and Jesus did not make the cut. If he actually was a living human being, he got elevated to god status by the Greeks, and the only thing you can offer as proof to the contrary is your faith.
