America’s founding ideal was the principle of individual rights. Nothing more—and nothing less. The rest—everything that America achieved, everything she became, everything “noble and just,” and heroic, and great, and unprecedented in human history—was the logical consequence of fidelity to that one principle. The first consequence was the principle of political freedom, i.e., an individual’s freedom from physical compulsion, coercion or interference by the government. The next was the economic implementation of political freedom: the system of capitalism.
It took centuries of intellectual, philosophical development to achieve political freedom. It was a long struggle, stretching from Aristotle to John Locke to the Founding Fathers. The system they established was not based on unlimited majority rule, but on its opposite: on individual rights, which were not to be alienated by majority vote or minority plotting. The individual was not left at the mercy of his neighbors or his leaders: the Constitutional system of checks and balances was scientifically devised to protect him from both. This was the great American achievement—and if concern for the actual welfare of other nations were our present leaders’ motive, this is what we should have been teaching the world.

George Washington Statue in Portland Toppled, Covered in Burning U.S. Flag
Newsweak, June 18,2020:
mid ongoing protests following the killing of George Floyd, a statue of George Washington, the first president of the U.S., was torn down Thursday night by a group of people in Portland, Oregon’s largest city.
“People have torn down a statue of George Washington at 57th and Sandy in NE Portland. @fox12oregon,” wrote a reporter for FOX 12 Oregon, Drew Reeves, on his Twitter account.
A U.S. flag was seen burning at the head of the statue before it was toppled using a rope. Another U.S. flag was seen burning over the statue after it was toppled on the ground, according to video footage and images shared on social media. Police are reported to be at the scene.
The statue was spray-painted with the words “genocidal colonist,” among other words, according to images shared on social media.

A news photographer for Portland’s KOIN, Matt Rashleigh, noted: “The George Washington statue on NE Sandy in #Portland #Oregon has been pulled down and vandalized. Portland Police officers inspected the damage. Someone left a note and a few dollars on it next to the spray painted bronze. #koin6news,” in a post on his Twitter account sharing images of the scene.

Andy Ngô, editor-at-large at The Post Millennial, described: “Antifa rioters on Sandy Blvd. in Portland draped a US flag over a George Washington statue & set it on fire. They then toppled the statue. ‘Genocidal colonist’ & ‘f— cops’ are sprayed on monument. Rioters have began to build another autonomous zone nearby,” in a post on his Twitter account.

Michael: Yes, and the damage done by Obama actually got worse and worse over his Presidency. Rasmussen polled the same question 3 times over several years, and each successive poll saw increasing concern over Obama making race relations worse.
As soon as Trump took over, this trend reversed. In particular, the electorate increasingly saw that employment in young black men was improving substantially.

Our education has been drifting to the left for decades. Obama masterfully took it over and overhauled our education through Common Core in exchange for federal money. He created a curriculum of pure hatred for our country. The history aspect of it is especially maddening. It claims to be an evidence based critical analysis of our history. It is anything but that. It is pure propaganda driven by cherry picked history, written in a biased manner, to leave the student unable to come up with anything but hatred as the conclusion. The curriculum is clever in some ways. The student thinks they are being objective and coming to that conclusion on their own. You are seeing the result of that. Bill Gates poured allot of money into Common Core but won’t let HIS kids use that as their curriculum.

Hsu was criticized as far back as 2013 for research he conducted on the relationship between race and intelligence for his doctorate dissertation. Yong Chan, research director for the racial justice website ChangeLab, condemned Hsu in 2013 for accepting funding from the Chinese government to conduct research on the biological basis for intelligence.

“Even though mainstream science has pretty much scrapped the notion that race has any kind of biological basis long ago, that hasn’t stopped [Hsu] from trying to link intelligence with race and getting a billion and a half dollars for research based in China,” Chan wrote.
Hsu is also facing criticism for promoting a 2019 study that suggested that there is no racial disparity in rates of police shooting.
A petition with almost 800 signatures has called on Michigan State University to fire Hsu for violating “university values.”

So. Portland police had to have known of a riotous gathering engaging in arson and vandalism for at least an hour before the statue of Washington was toppled. When they got around to making a pro forma appearance the damage was done. If ever there was a police department that deserves to be (Rancid Neologism Warning.) defunded, it’s this useless bunch of do-nothings currently disgracing the Portland PD uniform. For literally months now, they’ve stood around just watching businesses being destroyed by arson, looting and vandalism – the same businesses whose taxes supported Portland’s city government including the PD.
