Fauci changes tune, now says second COVID-19 wave may never happen — and mask-wearing is symbolic
Talk about an abrupt about-face
Story continues below advertisementDr. Anthony Fauci now says that a second wave of COVID-19 may not even happen and that wearing a mask is largely symbolic at this point.
What about the second wave?
In a Wednesday interview with CNN’s “Newsroom,” Fauci — member of the White House’s coronavirus task force — said that a second COVID-19 wave is not necessarily inevitable.
“We often talk about the the possibility of a second wave, or of an outbreak when you’re reopening,” Fauci explained. “We don’t have to accept that as an inevitability.”
“Particularly,” he continued, “when people start thinking about the fall. I want people to really appreciate that, it could happen, but it is not inevitable.”
Fauci admitted that he is beginning to feel more and more optimistic as days go by, and insists that the U.S.’s expanded capability for testing is bolstering the COVID-19 response.
He pointed out that a second wave is entirely preventable if the U.S. is able to have the “workforce, the system, and the will to do the kinds of things that are the clear and effective identification, isolation, and contact tracing.”
In April, however, Fauci insisted that second wave of coronavirus was inevitable.
During an interview with MSNBC, he said, “It’s inevitable that the coronavirus will return next season. … When it does, how we handle it, will determine our fate.”
And so what about the masks?
Fauci also said that Americans should wear face masks in public to protect themselves — but also to get into good practices.
“I want to protect myself and protect others [by mask-wearing], and also because I want to make it be a symbol for people to see that that’s the kind of thing you should be doing,” he added.

Many years ago, in Southern California, there was a company called General Telephone. Their service was so bad that they released a series of TV commercials satirizing themselves. One of them began with an overhead view of a cocktail party. A woman says to the small group she is talking to, “You have to see this. He is amazing!’. She leads them to a group of men talking and taps one on the shoulder saying “Honey, say something funny”. He pauses ever so briefly before replying “General Telephone”, and the whole room goes to pieces laughing.

As our state releases criminals, I am not interested in replacing them in prison.
We DO refuse to wear them in our cars or outside in the fresh air. I have to laugh when I one person, in a car, windows up and wearing a mask or one person walking their dog outside with one on.

I love faxchi . First he played down the infection and allowed flight from china to spread the disease.
Then when HCQ was shown as cure , he debunked it as that would mean he and his pals could not make Billions from vaccine/drugs they planned to patent

Event 201 had as one of its primary focus, the ‘handling’ of information to the public…”flooding the zone”, they called it. It was a ‘what’ to say and ‘who’ to say it, study group project, yet on the face of it, they have conducted themselves as though they had no clue as to what were the proper procedures and protocols to a pandemic threat.
First its ‘this’, then its ‘that’, and then its back to ‘this’ again. If confusion and mistrust was the goal, they have been eminently successful at it, but in the presence of multiple, expert reports that clearly set proper protocols, this flood of confusion is beyond ‘highly suspect’, and has a very real sinister quality to it. The logic of, “If masks don’t work, why do doctors wear them?”, is glaringly obvious.
I agree that from the onset of this virus, the entire ‘handling’ of it all should raise everyone’s alarms that while real, this virus is a staged catastrophe being used for a multitude of purposes. However, I believe that the ‘money’ behind it is more akin to the ‘climate fraud general funds account’, then it is to personal fortunes.
Their goal extends way beyond a vaccine…tracking and tracing protocols being blended into everyday life and the potential social control that accompanies that, is more their target, and what better way to ensure for that then to confuse and flip-flop so that the mistrust that generates sets the perfect environment for lock-down fatigue and a ‘throw caution to the wind’ attitude in the public mind. If the bug hasn’t mutated itself out of being a threat, what better approach to take to just about guarantee a second wave.
The connections to those who have money, power and position (Gates, Soros) that Fauci has, is undeniable…he is no innocent player, and we have every reason to view him hostile to the public’s health and well being based on those connections alone but even more so in light of his participation/leadership in this misinformation program.

I have lost count of how many “genders” these emotionally/mentally ill people have come up with. It’s compassion for evil and in many cases with a smiley face.
Imagine the girls who will be humiliated in locker rooms … and how our kids will be taught this is normal as standard practice where there was still some fight against it….. Today the U.S. Supreme Court enacted a new law that adds sexual orientation and gender identity to the 1964 Civil Rights Act as “protected classes.” As Justice Alito has pointed out, the majority went too far—he called it a “brazen abuse of our authority.” The Supreme Court exists to interpret the law, not to make new laws—making laws is the job of our Representatives in Congress, elected by the people.I believe this decision erodes religious freedoms across this country. People of sincere faith who stand on God’s Word as their foundation for life should never be forced by the government to compromise their religious beliefs. Christian organizations should never be forced to hire people who do not align with their biblical beliefs and should not be prevented from terminating a person whose lifestyle and beliefs undermine the ministry’s purpose and goals.
As a Bible-believing follower of Jesus Christ, my rights should be protected. Even if my sincerely held religious beliefs might be the minority, I still have a right to hold them. The same holds true for a Christian organization. These are the freedoms our nation was founded on.
The Supreme Court does not override and will never overturn the Word of God. One day we will all have to stand before God, the Righteous Judge, whose decisions are not based on politics or the whims of culture. His laws are true and are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I think it is worth noting that while no man is perfect, President Trump has taken the godly principles that formed America’s foundations, and applied them time after time to many varied areas both home and abroad, and the doing of that, helped improve the lives of many. I well recall when both Roberts and Gorsuch were appointed to the court. I told everyone that they were died in the wool Left Wingnut Regressives. Every conservative asked, “How dare you say that?”.

I distinctly remember Gorsuch saying, “I’m my own man..” repeatedly. I thought “though protests too much…” but I thought, maybe I am being paranoid.

We are so screwed. They refused to hear a gun case and refused to hear a case on sanctuary cities/states. They are saving that for the fall. Those SOB’s are playing politics. There is no reason they can’t hear those cases now. These prima donnas barely work and we’re supposed to sit back in awe waiting for their royal decree.
I wonder…. are they are gambling on Biden or his substitute winning to take away our guns and legalize sanctuary cities/states to up the lawlessness and leave us defenseless? They may know something we don’t know. It’s not the first time the U.S.S.C. over steps their bounds. Through homo Roberts he made Obamacare a tax to get that passed. Now Gorsuch did the same thing with the protected status of perverts. They should have refused to hear that and sent it back.

Hi, felix1999. Gorsuch was raised in a church of rome household. He attended a church of rome elementary school. And, a church of rome preparatory school. Moreover, he attended mass, weekly, with his family while growing up.
Roberts is an outright church of rome member.
Perversion abounds from there.
It wasn’t ONE Second Amendment case. The court had multiple Second Amendment cases (more than a dozen) before them. On ALL of these cases, the court refused to grant certiorari.

I wear a mask only when I cannot buy food, fill prescriptions, get new eyeglasses, conduct an indoor bank transaction, etc., etc. without one, which is still the case in Marxachusetts.

I found a way around the mask tyranny. If you must wear them, you still get to freely decide how you wear them… for now. I encountered a guy with something like a darth vader sort of mask- it was surreal. Has anyone considered how insensitive this is to the deaf community? Reading lips is impossible when you can’t see any.

Given the ongoing racial unrest and protests across the nation and around the world, Melinda Gates, the wife of Bill Gates, said that coronavirus vaccine should first be given to black people right after health care workers.
She made the statement in an interview Time Magazine ahead of the 2020 Global Vaccines Summit. Melinda said the first first people who need the new COVID-19 vaccine are the 60 million health care workers around the world. Gates added that the shot should then be given to black people and “many other people of color” before being used on white people. Referring to black people, Melinda Gates said: “They deserve to get it before anybody else. Then you start tiering.” She went on to address the death of George Floyd and health disparities between blacks and whites in the country, saying:
Even before we saw this senseless death, COVID had already started to show us gaps and structural problems in our country. We are seeing black men die at a disproportionate rate. We know the way out of COVID-19 will be a vaccine, and it needs to go out equitably.

When asked about how we ensure the new COVID-19 vaccine is equitably administered, Melinda said:
You make sure the vaccine doesn’t go to the highest bidder. GAVI uses a pooled set of resources from governments and private citizens, so you can make sure that when you go to purchase the vaccine, you purchase it in bulk at low prices. We’ve gotten the delivery system, over 20 years, really set up appropriately. This pledging event means governments around the world will step up in global cooperation to all say, ‘We care about this vaccine getting out equitably,’ [since their contributions will help GAVI secure and distribute doses when they become available]. The first people that need this vaccine are the 60 million health care workers around the world. They deserve to get it before anybody else. Then you start tiering.
When asked about who needs the vaccine after health care workers. Melinda Gates said:
In the U.S., that would be black people next, quite honestly, and many other people of color. They are having disproportionate effects from COVID-19. From there, people with underlying health conditions, and then people who are older. Those are the ones who all need it first. We also need to think about essential workers who are keeping our grocery stores open for us so we can buy food, or who are making sure that food moves through the warehouses.
(No the virus is not “racist”. It doesn’t discriminate like you do!
I don’t care what color you are or how much money you have or don’t have. REFUSE their vaccine!)

It was explained to me, by several surgeons, is that during surgery they open people up. In order to not infect the patient, surgical staff wear masks.
The dental office mask wearing is still protocol, from when put in place during the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome folderol.

I don’t HAVE a mask, won’t WEAR a mask, and am NOT concerned about anyone else not wearing one! Fauci should have NEVER been on Trump’s team and I’m DISGUSTED that he’s still there. That, along with Trump’s continuing to sign more spending bills has made me really consider withholding my vote for him in November. The whole mess is disgusting.

I wouldn’t go that far. In the last election, I donated both financially and with time. And, of course with my vote. However, this time I will not donate so much as five minutes and a dime. FAR too many broken promises and he’s surrounded himself with incompetent deep staters. Yet, he’ll still get my vote, as the lesser of many evils.
