Cuomo threatens Manhattan, Hamptons shutdown over lack of social distancing

By Kate Sheehy, NY Post, June 14, 2020:

Cuomo warns Manhattan, Hamptons he’ll roll back reopenings if social distancing isn’t maintained

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday threatened to shut down Manhattan and the Hamptons again if residents don’t adhere to the state’s social distancing rules.

“We’re not going to go back to that dark place because local governments didn’t do their job” and people don’t take the proper precautions amid the coronavirus, Cuomo said.

He said the state has received 25,000 complaints about health-safety violations since the start of the pandemic — an “alarming” figure that mainly involves bars and restaurants.

“Manhattan and the Hamptons are the leading areas in the state with violations,” Cuomo said.

“These are not hard-to-spot violations. People send videos of these violations,” the governor said — two days after at least 200 people were caught on video partying together, many without masks, around St. Marks Place in the East Village in Manhattan.

“They are rampant, and there’s not enough enforcement,” he said of violators.

“I’m not going to allow situations to exist, that we know have a high likelihood of causing an increase in the virus,” Cuomo said. “Local governments, do your job.

If “local governments are not monitoring policing, doing the compliance, yes, there is a very real possibility that we would roll back the reopening of those areas.”

The governor said he has personally phoned “a couple of bars and restaurants myself when I saw pictures of their situations. … And I said to them, ‘You’re playing with your [liquor] license.’ ”

New York City is currently in Phase One of the state’s four-stage reopening plan, meaning curbside retail is allowed, as well as the restart of general construction and manufacturing. Mayor Bill de Blasio has said he expects the city to enter Phase Two hopefully by early July, which would permit such things as outdoor seated dining at restaurants.

Long Island, where the Hamptons are, entered Phase Two last week. Regions must see their low coronavirus figures — including deaths, hospitalizations and positive-test rate — stay at least steady for two weeks before they can be considered for moving on to the next phase.

Widespread local protests after George Floyd’s death also have involved scores of both cops and marchers who haven’t been wearing masks, which Cuomo has repeatedly decried. He repeated Sunday — as thousands of people gathered outside the Brooklyn Musuem for another rally — that anyone unable to social-distance and not wearing a mask could be fined.

Cuomo called it “disrespectful” to everyone if you don’t wear a mask, including healthcare workers who died on the front lines fighting the contagion.

“Show a modicum of respect,” he said. “Wear masks.”

Those bars and restaurants need to keep up with the times.
Post a few Black Lives Matter signs.
Have some patrons break in the glass of local retailers.
Have them go into the stores and steal as much as they can carry.
Start a fire in at least one location.

Good to go. No longer a social gathering, but a blm “peaceful protest”.

It sounds like the way the lamestream media (MSM) including the BBC reported the recent riots here in London, when in the city centre militant blacks & their fellow white commie controllers in antifa (UK) defiled & desecrated war memorials while the police impotently & ineffectually failed to take control, due to their politicisation. Compare & contrast their robust response when decent brave activists led by Paul Golding, Tommy Robinson among others gathered a week later to defend those most revered monuments. The police were certainly tougher in their response as were the biased globalist media, MSM referring to those defenders as ‘far-right’ among other pathetic (primary) school playground, yah-boo insults. Yet the term far-left has never been used by the duplicitous MSM to describe the subversive & seditious commie BLM & antifa groups in Britain.

We’re currently under negotiations. And, on another far more important portion of the movement. It’s a declaration of a state religion, that of negrolatry, better known as The Church of the Magical Negro.

DC Courts are to decide if they are a religious cult! Someone has sued them for favoring 1 religion over other religious. Establishment clause. LOL!!

After his performance of eliminating senior citizens yet allowing mass protests without social distancing, this cuck continues to pretend that he Is an emperor.

As stupid as his brother Fredo.

CDC can’t explain this!
This coronavirus is the strangest virus I’ve ever heard of. It’s very
dangerous the way it spreads. It is so mysterious the way it lurks in
schools, but then dies at Home Depot. It can wreak havoc in churches;
praying people are exceptionally vulnerable! Although it’s Mind-boggling
how it vanishes when people stand close together holding signs,
destroying businesses, homes, property, monuments, etc. Yet, standing to
watch a marathon or a concert triggers its wrath. It is sneaky.
It can spread when buying clothes at Kohl’s but not at Target. It is
non-alcoholic. It can’t spread when you are buying beer. It lives for
two days on Amazon boxes, you must wait 48 hours to touch them but It
can’t survive on Dunkin Donuts coffee cups, so enjoying a hot cup of joe
is safe. It is the most curious thing, how it lives on basketballs,
baseball bats and ballet bars, but dies on WWE ropes and Walmart
shopping carts. It is spread by hair stylists, dog groomers, and
dentists, but not by bank tellers, cashiers, and fast food workers. It’s
so smart. It won’t bother the first 10 people but it knows when the
11th person shows up so be careful if that’s you. It even knows what you
want vs what you need. If you want a massage or your nails done it is
very actively on the prowl and not even a mask can stop it but If you
need a plumber, it is weak, and a mask will keep it away. It also seems
to be most dangerous after 5:30pm so businesses must start to close
before the virus comes out and wreaks havoc upon the populations.
Whoever heard of such a smart sneaky virus?!?
Copy and Paste ! I did !

OK. Let’s see CocoCuomo get off the ferry at Cherry Grove or the Pines, centers of the gay beach life on Fire Island, and tell everyone there to wear masks and “socially distance”. He’ll have to swim the 5 miles of the harbor to get back to mainland Long Island.

So What?

25,000 Karens whining about social distancing. I wonder how many of them partied on the Manhattan streets during the riots.
