Left-Wing Arsonists Are Targeting Homes Flying American Flags

Arsonists are targeting homes flying American flags

In a Sacramento suburb, arsonists specifically targeted homes that were flying American flags, causing residents to question what could prompt such attacks.

According to a KOVR-TV report, police are investigating at least four incidents that occurred in Citrus Heights, just outside California’s capital, in the early morning hours of June 6 — the anniversary of the historic D-Day landing during World War II and just eight days before the United States celebrated Flag Day.

Marie Nuzzi, a resident of the Sungarden neighborhood where the crimes occurred, had her American flag set ablaze, leaving only a pile of soot under a blackened flagpole.

“If it had burned longer it would have caught the house on fire,” Nuzzi said. “Somebody’s lives, for what?”

The flagpole was attached to her home near the roof, which would have created a dangerous situation had the fire spread.

Nuzzi decided not to replace the flag.

“It’s not worth it for me to put my family through it,” she told KOVR.

Two other homes also had their flags burned, and the trees were torched in front of another property that had small American flags set out on the front lawn.

Police did not yet have a motive for the crimes, but another resident thought it might be more than just random arson.

“This is the first time anything’s happened,” 10-year resident Michael Howard told KOVR. “Gut reaction? Is it somebody with an agenda?”

It isn’t a far leap for someone like Howard to wonder whether these small incidents of flag-burning are related to the larger civil unrest that is still simmering in the nation after the death of George Floyd, the Minneapolis man who died in police custody after an officer knelt on his neck for almost 9 minutes.

After video of the incident went viral, protests erupted in American cities, including nearby Sacramento, and many protesters have destroyed symbols of America including Old Glory.

It isn’t just the American flag that is under attack during these, but all of the symbols of America as protesters take out their anger on not just police, but also the very founding of the United States.

While there might be an argument to be made against taking down antiquated and controversial symbols such as the Confederate flag or pro-slavery Civil War heroes, there’s also a process for doing so, through legal methods, petitioning local officials and winning elections.

Disdaining the democratic process, the mob has come for just about every representation of America and its history.

“NEW: Protesters yank down Christopher Columbus statue outside Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul,” ABC News tweeted with video of the statue tumbling down as bystanders cheer.

Rioters have also torched a historic church and defaced war monuments along with the other property destruction and looting.

It is going to be difficult to repair not only the physical damage the protesters have left behind, but also to the social fabric of America that seems torn beyond repair.

Without a proper contextual understanding of American heroes and history,  which it increasingly appears protesters don’t have, there is little hope that the country can pick up the shattered pieces to become 50 truly United States once again.

It is very possible the incidents outside of Sacramento were just punk kids causing trouble and hoping for additional shock value by targeting flags, but with the current climate of hatred towards the United States and all it stands for, this couldn’t have come at a worse time.

We live in Orangevale a few miles from Citrus Heights. We were armed and on guard. There have been reports of such attacks here but no truth to them. Our neighborhood has many American flags flying including our house.

I have been there and IT IS A PARADISE ON EARTH. However, it is run by Democrats and now Honolulu is crime-ridden. I will NOT go back until Conservatives take it over, whether it be the NATIVES or otherwise.

AND, every citizen in America should think the SAME WAY ABOUT EVERY DEMOCRAT STATE IN AMERICA! STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY IN YOUR VACATIONS AND BUYING FROM THEM!

If you ever want to see the most beautiful lagoon, in the Pacific, book a flight to Saipan. The Chinese have, pretty much, overtaken that island but the lagoon is still breathtaking.

Are any of the Japanese fortifications still left there? Saipan was the end of the war for USMC rifleman Lee Marvin, where he was wounded.

Yes. And, marked as historic monuments, so that the local kids can come and spray gang graffiti on them. Those bunkers were quite solid and the days of naval bombardment didn’t do a dayummed thing.

OH, IT IS COMING TO YOU……..SOON. They tried that here, but smart people got cameras, got these punks who were too stupid to see the cameras, and now they are in jail. Recently, the punks destroyed the flag, the flagpole (wasn’t steel), and most of the shrubbery around it. The judge here made them PAY BIG TIME, replacing EVERYTHING THEY RUINED, and then spend 1 year in jail with a FELONY record.

THAT IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, IF ANY JUDGES HAVE A SPINE!

I believe that the incidents reported in this article has far more significance than that the conduct in and of itself is un-American. We are a diverse country; and putting all that diversity together will likely result in conflicts between those diverse groups, simply because of that diversity. Nevertheless, we, as a country seemed able to recognize that we are one nation, and we all expected to pursue “life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” We added to our Americanism equal rights to all our citizens, as well as equal treatment. We became the greatest country to live in. No matter what your diversity expects of its people, being a patriotic American was primary for all citizens. We seem to be losing that understanding when we refuse to stand for our anthem and we burn our flag. We are being overwhelmed by these so-called anti-fa elements, and we best take notice of the fact that these violent believers are domestic terrorists. We must get serious about “combating” these dangerous people, before it is too late.

Our culture used to be a blend of a autonomous and a theonomous culture since we have allowed freedom of religion. What can not be argued is we do not have a common foundation anymore. We no longer have that thanks to years of leftist indoctrination and propaganda is our education, media and entertainment. Now we are headed to a heteronomous culture. Islam is a heteronomous culture.

Remember Dennis the Menace? He illustrates the heteronomous way. We used to laugh at it. The fine print fools people.

AMERICA IS A REPUBLIC WITH A CONSTITUTION. If what a person is doing is NOT under the Constitutional Bill of Rights AND if what a person is doing is illegal, THEN THAT IS NOT DIVERSITY. IT IS PERVERSE BEHAVIOR AND PUNISHABLE UNDER THE LAW.

I have no problem with diversity, but I do have a problem when it is FORCED on me and my rights.

STAY IN YOUR YARD AND I WILL STAY IN MINE.

The rule of law is intended to adjudicate the problems of diversity with a neutral and objective mechanism – the rules of the game so to speak. Get rid of the rule of law and diversity becomes a curse – a war of all against all. Our motto is e pluribus unum – out of many one. The law is a necessary part of that motto.

The usual condemnation of Islamo-Nazis, Marxist, and Radical Leftists aint gonna get the job done. These well-funded Leftist rodents are pressing buttons now to see how far they can push. Trust your instincts. Elections, speeches, and legal enforcement will not stop them, only violence. That’s an historical fact. The alternative is Communist China. Millions died at the hands of Communists. The 1.4 Billion who live under modern Chinese Communist rule are subjugated puppies with little or no rights. That’s what happens when people have no means to defend themselves or engage in armed struggle. Hong Kong’s resistance is admirable and courageous but in the end they also have no means of mounting any armed resistance. They will concede to the Communists.
It comes down to how much crap people are willing to take and do they have the means to stop it. The US has a heavily armed citizenry and many allied police and military. It’s in a unique position to stop the Leftist infiltration of our country. It’s a question of when, not how.

Oswald was a qualified USMC rifleman — which might explain how he nailed JFK, hitting no one else, over open sights using nothing but Kentucky windage.

“…causing residents to question what could prompt such attacks.”

BECAUSE THEY CAN AND NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

FIGHT BACK AMERICA!

I have cameras all around my property that notifies me in several ways when someone steps foot within 25 feet of any one of my motion cameras. I will promptly see where you are and then YOU won’t see ME coming. I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN, MAKE A CITIZEN’S ARREST AND PERSONALLY TAKE YOU TO JAIL, PRESS CHARGES, SHOW UP FOR YOUR ARRAIGNMENT AND THEN FILE A CIVIL LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU FOR EVERY SINGLE THING YOU OWN.

I WILL OWN YOU. So, bring that here to Ohio and I WILL END YOUR CUSHY LITTLE LIBERAL LIFE.

Agreed .That has been my contention for a long time. There is not a woman alive who has any business going about unarmed.

Though not a certified firearms instructor, I have gotten several of my female friends and coworkers ready for their licensing class, to the point I will loan them the weapon on which they trained plus the ammo they will need.

Arson is a felony. Arson of an occupied dwelling is an aggravated felony. So, if you shoot someone, that is setting fire to your home, they are bought and paid for.
My sign says, “Nothing here that’s worth your life “.
