“We will not stand down!”: Virginia’s Democratic Gov Ditches Beach Restrictions After Thousands Defy His Order

People must rise up and take back their freedom. The totalitarians are not going to give them back to us without a fight.

FORGET IT: Virginia’s Democratic Gov Ditches Beach Restrictions After Thousands Defy His Order

By Hannity Staff :

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam eased the state’s Coronavirus restrictions on beaches and water activities after thousands of sunbathers flocked to the shoreline as temperatures approached 80 degrees.

Story continues below advertisement

“That didn’t keep crowds away from Virginia Beach over the weekend as temperatures reached the high 70s. Sunbathers took to the sand, bikers peddled along the bustling boardwalk and newly reopened gift shops were crowded with customers buying hermit crabs and snow cones,” reports Fox News.

“Following the weekend crowds, Northam announced during a press conference Monday that Virginia Beach would be allowed to reopen May 22 at the start of Memorial Day weekend, which normally kicks off the coast’s busy summer tourism season,” adds Fox.

And this:

A local workout facility in New Jersey is publicly defying the Governor’s lock-down order Monday; opening for business while telling reporters “we will not stand down.”

“We made the decision to open,” said Ian Smith, the owner of Atilis Gym. “We will not stand down!”

“Governor Murphy has presented zero plans and I think my business partner and I have a plan to keep people safe,” said Smith.

“We put together a plan and the plan was first that members only so we knew who were in our doors at all times and when, something big corporations are not doing … we’ll be able to track all of that very easily. We’ll be taking temperatures at the door, according to CDC recommendations. Anybody at the time who is a 100.4 or more will not be allowed in until their fever has subsided for at least 48 hours,” Smith said.

Smith went on to say, “We got spray bottles for each individual person so that anything that they touch will be disinfected before and after use … We’ve gone above and beyond and we have listed all of the steps and it’s so far beyond what the other stores are doing that, at this point, if the governor chooses to shut us down, it is absurd.”

The sword cuts both ways, (DEM) Mark Shields. Most liberals are cowards at heart and like to bully you. When you stand up to them, they typically back down, when confronted, if they aren’t allowed to or can’t over talk you.

muslims, peta and demonrats always target “soft” targets, you never see a koranimal bark when not in sufficient numbers, nor a peta member attack a biker gang for wearing leather or a demonrat actual castigate criminals and not law abiding citizens

The few who are willing to be ruthless to rule, rule over the many who are unwilling to be forceful enough to defend themselves. We outnumber them, but they control our money and food and energy and jobs and they punish us for every imaginable offense, so we’re afraid of them. They’re supposed to be afraid of us.

As far as I’m concerned the whole nation has suffered illegitimate rule for longer than I’ve been alive.

I could list a lot of proof to back that up.

sp: Your comments intrigue me, because they closely resemble Aristotle, “Politics”, 350 BC [free online]. His thoughts were very similar to yours. For example, he said there are 2 main types of government, where the ruler either works for his own benefit, or the ruler works for the benefit of the people. SO his definition of ‘illegitimate rule’ is the tyrant, the oligarchy, or mob rule that works for its own benefit.
Dems and communists are tyrant oligarchies, with strong power circles.

That’s interesting. I’ve never read anything by Aristotle that I know of.

I haven’t done much reading at all.

Seems like a simple observation to me. I see, I say….

He is actually quite an easy read. Books were short, they had to be hand-written!

Thanks for that link. I have been looking to getting back into reading for some time. This looks like a good starting point and this whole farce has given me good motivation.

Yes, Aristotle is a good way to simplify politics into its core elements. Either the leader works for himself, or for the people. Selfish politicos create Detroit and Venezuela on purpose, because strong leaders must have a weak populace, or they get overthrown. So a populace that is poor, sick, ignorant, and hopeless is good for the tyrant. Aristotle also saw that tyrants always wrap themselves in some phony high moral cause, like ‘helping the poor’ or ‘pleasing Allah’, or ‘purifying the race’. They spout that stuff but they never do any of it, it’s just a cover story.

YESS, and the photo above is not really fair either. Because if you look closely, you can see that most people are 6 feet or more away from other groups or individuals. It’s just the foreshortening effects of the telephoto that makes the beach look crowded. In epidemics, people just naturally self-distance, self-isolate, and avoid crowds. We don’t need cops to make us do these things.

Frankly, we don’t need any government that much.

It’s ironic, reading the history of epidemics. Right now politicos shout that we must self-isolate, distance, lock-down, avoid contact, stay inside, etc., etc. But in in the Philly 1793 yellow fever epidcemic, they did all that on their own, naturally, and with no help from government.

All those people having a good time and enjoying themselves must have wrecked
Northam’s day! I love it! The ass hat governor in mexifornia needs to lighten up too, and that goes for the other ass hats in places like L.A. too.

Yes, and notice the wind in the picture above. It’s driving the waves against the beach, it is cooling against the sunlight, and it is full of humidity and mist. Because it interferes with hearing, the wind tends to isolate individuals from each other, because the wind and the waves makes voices inaudible from very short distances. But it drives lovers closer, where they can talk, and be close. All this weakens Covid-19, and strengthens us. Amidst my own personal lock-down, the thing I miss the most is the wind.

What those guys are doing at their gym is what businesses are doing here in NZ, we have only 45 active cases in NZ now.. We got to 1503 who caught the virus and we had 21 deaths – mostly in dementia patients in old folks homes.. We are still not allowed to travel inter regionally, we have to stay in our area…. NZ and Australia are talking about opening up their borders to each other.. But I assume this will be a while yet… What bothers we is, we may have stopped the virus from spreading, but we have no herd immunity from it.

Clinton, Bush and Obama transferred all our wealth to China. Bush and Obama set the Middle East on fire. This coup d’etat against Trump is really against “We the people” and the Republic. The domestic enemy has turned the law against us… Look what that so-called judge is doing against Flynn. Say a prayer we destroy the Democrat party in November.

Our proud governor and amateur minstrel show performer is basically a coward. When he wanted to go full California on gun control he was thwarted but the vision of those 22,000 armed Virginians on his doorstep and the multiple 2A sanctuary declarations across the Commonwealth. This lockdown will be the same.
