Trump attacks tech giants for being controlled by ‘radical left’

There needs to be some REPUBLICANS in there too!

Excellent, Trump definitely sees that social media is skewed to the radical Left, glad he didn’t mince words. Thousands of us pro-freedom, anti-Islam activists have been permanently banned from Twitter and have been continually silenced/censored on YouTube and other media.

I don’t expect Congress to do anything about it since it serves the Democrats interests, so they won’t be motivated to change the status quo. It may require Trump to issue executive order to get fix this mess.

The solution isn’t to break up these companies, that solves nothing. What is needed is govt oversight that cannot be corrupted by money or overruled. First we need to accurately identify the problem and then implement the right solutions.

The main issue of course is censorship of ideas/opinions that don’t conform to Leftist thinking. This will require enforcing the 1st Amend on all social media, allowing robust opinions on all topics. The only exception is speech that breaks laws such as threatening others with harm or deliberately spreading false information/libel against others.

These organizations need oversight from all across the political spectrum. We need a govt body that watches the watchers and overrules their decisions when they are being unjust to certain individuals or groups. Additionally there will be no more demonetizing accounts, shadow-banning and any of the other devious practices designed to annul the right of free speech for every individual.

Yes they should be fined and those of us who’ve been wrongly banned should be compensated, but I won’t hold my breath on that since it’s unlikely to ever happen.

Manipulation of search results as Pam pointed out in her article earlier is another powerful tool to once again overtly and covertly sway people’s opinions, that of course must end as well. Restoring social media to it’s originally intended ideal state is all that’s really needed.

Why can’t we allow people and ideas to compete freely? Why should some groups/individuals get away with cheating and putting their thumb on the scales? This is not a left vs right issue, but fundamental human rights.

Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of all our other freedoms, without it, we’ll become another China, Iran or North Korea. We can and must do better to avoid a descent into totalitarianism and become warring ideological mobs who silence opponents when they get power.
