NYC Mayor Wilhelm De Blasio floats fencing to keep New Yorkers off beaches

The beach, with sun blasting down and reflected up, plus onshore breeze, plus linear miles to (well, almost) relieve crowding is about the safest place to be during an epidemic.**
What’s the worst? Probably a subway. Not far down from that would be a high rise building with the windows closed (Wilhelm is buying $55 Million worth of window AC units for housing projects … whose residents get FREE electricity. So, you’ll have AC running 24/7 in those high rise buildings, people staying inside, and the virus jumping on a new body every time the elevator runs.

** Yeah I know it’s possible to catch Wuhan outdoors. A football stadium, the indoor bar you hit after the beach, 4th of July outdoor crowds, anything where people hang out in sardine-packs for an hour, yeah there are some ways to catch it outside. The other 98.77% of outdoor conditions are much safer than indoors.

Thankfully the rate of infections and deaths is slowing considerably. What’s only just beginning is the legal assault on the States due to their gross malfeasance in the Long Term Care facility deaths.

At least 35% of all US deaths (31,500) have occurred within these facilities.
Aprox 2/3 of LTC facility deaths (21,000) have occurred within a 300 mile radius of NYC.
These shocking numbers do not include old and sick people who live at home and died from Covid-19.

Considering that Italy reported this demographic problem well before the virus hit our shores, and the first outbreak was in a Washington state LTC facility, allowing this to spiral out of control across America and to kill so many old and sick people this way is gross malfeasance on the part of numerous Governors.

Instead of focusing on this acute problem and recognizing early on that LTC facilities were by far the most vulnerable segment of the population, they abandoned these people and instead decided to enact unnecessary draconian lockdowns of the entire economy. While there is little evidence that this actually slowed down the viral spread within the community, there is a mountain of evidence that the massive lockdown destroyed the economy, placed people with other serious medical problems in serious jeopardy, and cause a ripple effect of negative consequences that we will be paying for for many years.

We’ve learned nothing from 9/11. 19 years have past and we are still electing talent-less, self-serving ideologues and bureaucratic dullards to govern us. Gov Cuomo (NY), Murphy (NJ), Wolf (PA) are not the best & brightest. They are the average & dullest. They spend more time and energy on figuring out how to get re-elected and supporting their partie’s agenda than actually improving the lives of their constituents. This pandemic has made that painfully clear. Gov Cuomo, Murphy, Wolf have appeared on TV almost everyday touting their own “brilliant” crisis management while the LTC residents in their states were and still are dying at an alarming rate.

Why do we tolerate this? There are so many talented and devoted people in America. Why don’t any of them want to run for public office?
