Dr. Scott Atlas bashes latest coronavirus model, says there’s ‘no scientific evidence’ to keep schools closed

Story continues below advertisementDr. Scott Atlas says science and logic must guide the reopening of AmericaHoover Institution senior fellow Dr. Scott Atlas dismissed a new model from the University of Washington’s Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) that projects more than 134,000 Americans will die of COVID-19 by Aug. 4 as states begin to reopen their economies.
“We should look at the evidence. We don’t need to rely on hypothetical projections,” Atlas, a former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center, told Martha MacCallum on “The Story” Monday night. “We have a ton of evidence. And the evidence is consistent all over the world that we know the fatality rate is much lower than what the models were based on originally.
“We know that … the curves have been flattened and the curves to note are not the numbers of cases. The only curves that count are the deaths per day and the hospitalizations per day.”
The doctor also called for schools to reopen, saying young people have little to worry about in regard to the virus.
“We know it’s factually true and proven all over the world that people under 18 have very little, if any, risk of a serious illness and essentially no risk of dying,” Atlas said. “There is no reason to separate people in the age groups 0 to 18, six feet apart. It’s just that there’s no scientific evidence, really, to do that. There’s no evidence really whatsoever to continue to have these schools closed.”
Atlas added that Americans know how to protect the elderly and those most at risk from the virus and claimed those measures shouldn’t impact school.
“We understand they [children] interact with elderly people. We understand, though, how to protect the elderly relatives that they interact with,” Atlas said. “There is no evidence to think that people in schools K through 12 have to be six feet apart. That’s just not correct.”

China has been at war with us far longer than most people realize. China has still not stopped the exporting of fentanyl to US.. They could instantly stop the export to the U.S. in an instant if they wanted to. Fentanyl is what caused countless deaths in the U.S. and especially in the midwest under Obama when unemployment was high.
As you know, fentanyl is a synthetic opiate. It’s what has been driving our opiate crisis. The Chinese elites know their history and what the Opium War and what it did to their country!

When I worked in LA I used to have breakfast a few mornings each week with Johnathan Winters. One day he brought with him a small ivory ball about 2 inches round.
There was microscopic carving on it that only could be seen under a microscope.
He said that the ball was over 100 years old. He said that any culture or people who had the patience to crave something like this that took many years to do -without technology- would beat us….he said the Chinese make 50-100 year plans…while we make 5 year, 3 year, and 1 year plans.
Our “leaders” have slowly sold us out to the Chinese over decades….while enriching their families, their friends and themselves…..Pukelosi and McConnell/Cho come to mind. Feinstein even had one of them – a Chinese spy – working closely with her for over 20 years.
I can’t walk into Walmart, Sears, Khol’s, or many others without seeing the label “made in China” on everything. The only exception I saw was the display of American Flags….which say made in the USA.
Sadly, there may not be an America in the future…..WE’RE BEING OUTSOURCED.

Australia has started re-opening schools. Research there found that elementary school kids don’t transmit Covid-19 much at all.

The people who vote them in were “asleep at the switch”…..and now has come the “train wreck.”
The question before us now is……”will the voters still keep putting them in? And while some would say if they do, it’s their problem. However, these tyrants in some states are having negative effects on our whole country….not just local. Example: Pork…Smithfield owned by the Chinese…..and they just killed all the pork that was ready to be processed and dumped them. Wait until you see the price of your bacon from this point on.
With Gates….aren’t there some kind of laws that he can be sued on or some kind of charges he can be prosecuted on….something along the international laws? No one amasses that much power without “breaking some eggs.”

This reminds me of the “vaccination theory” of education, just because you have bee exposed to something doesn’t mean you got it.
As a retired teacher/coach after 26 years, the coronavirus would have been such a distraction because of the tense and anxious home environment that no real learning would have taken place. Combine that with the annual ritual of the “sap rising” creating fleeting romances and you’ve got a real donnybrook on your hands.
