De Blasio, NYPD commissioner: No protests allowed in NYC

Story continues below advertisementNew York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea stated outright this week that people are not permitted to gather for protests in public due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The city leaders pointed to the need to maintain social distancing in order to prevent greater spread of COVID-19, stating that this takes precedence over people’s rights to exercise their First Amendment rights of free speech and assembly.

“You’re talking about some of the values we hold in the highest regard in this country and certainly in this city, the right for people to gather, the right to free speech and the right to protest,” Shea said during a Monday press briefing. “But now comes the bad news, we’re in a pandemic and executive orders have been issued, these are laws that have been passed down through executive order to keep people alive, while we greatly, greatly respect the right of people to protest, there should not be protests taking place in the middle of a pandemic by gathering outside and putting people at risk.”
The announcement came a day after the Reclaim Pride LGBT advocacy group protested Mount Sinai hospital’s relationship with the Samaritan Purse Christian organization, which set up a field hospital in Central Park for COVID-19 patients in an effort to reduce Mount Sinai’s load.
The group objected to the hospital working with the religious organization, claiming that its leadership has espoused bigoted views.
“People who want to make their voices heard, there are plenty of ways to do it without gathering in person,” de Blasio said.
The mayor said if people who have messages they want to spread care about protecting other people, “use all the other tools you have to get your point across but avoid anything that might put other people in harm’s way.”

It’s not clear that “Stay-at-Home Orders” actually work. If a person cleans their hands effectively, wears a good mask, and keeps a reasonable distance, then self-isolation may not add much additional protection. Very little research supports anything except hand cleaning and masks, and most of those are lab studies.
BUT, historical research proves that people usually self-isolate even without any laws. In the Philly Yellow Fever epideminc1793, the streets were empty, because people either hid indoors, or left town. This is common in all epidemics, and laws may not be necessary.

The real purpose is to block herd immunity. If herd immunity takes place it invalidates the need for vaccines. This is why bill Gates is paying them for the lock down. Unelected Bil Gates wants to become the 1st and only Trillionaire in history. Mandatory world wide Vaccines are the only way.

‘No protests in NYC’ doesn’t really mean ‘no protests in NYC’. There are the good kind of protests. Those will be allowed. ‘No protests in NYC’ just means none of the bad kind of protests. Bear in mind, this is from Bill’s and the Left’s perspective. Also, if you’re Muslim or black, then you can do what the flick you want. The Reclaim Pride LGBT will have to wait until Samaritan Purse is done serving DeBlasio before they can have a good protest against them.

The endless clown and freak show, and endless outrageous actions and comments by Democrats since 2016, is to delay and distract and keep the narrative away from the treason by Democrats that included setting us up to die with Hillary in the WH. Traitors don’t get elected to the presidency, and that’s the only goal of the Democrat Party. So the reason we cant go to parks, out doors, meet in churches or restaurants or bars is because we are being forbidden the right to meet and discuss political actions made against us by a Fascistic Socialist City Mayor.
Its not just to block herd immunity as Bill Gates demands, which would make vaccines unnecessary but it is to prevent meeting and free dialogue critical of the Fascists who have suspended our constitutional rights.

Under the US Supreme Court case of Ex Parte Milligan 71 U.S. (4 Wall.) 2 (1866) as long as the civilian courts are functioning, and they are, there is no state of emergency dire enough to allow for the suspension of Constitutional rights.
Note that at the time the Bill of Rights was adopted, both Smallpox and the Bubonic Plague were widespread diseases in America. Smallpox is more contagious than the flu, kills 1/3rd of the people who get it, and horribly disfigures most of those who survive. Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death, wiped out much of the world’s population in the middle ages, and while treatable today, was incurable in the 1790s.
Despite these horrific diseases our Right to peaceably assemble was protected in the Bill of Rights.

The edicts and demands have never been tested in court. Nobody ever tried to suspend the First Amendment before. Governmental officials do have a right to impose Martial Law, but they have to have an apparent reason why, and they can’t remove you from the reach of REASON. DeBlasio is a Lame Duck. When his term expires, he is going nowhere. No New York mayor has gone on to higher office in 107 years, and this one is ready never to be heard from again. He has shown us who he favors, and who he doesn’t, and based on that he is reminiscent of Obama, doing his damage at the end of his career.
I am looking forward to his end. I don’t like his Favoritism nor his Nepotism. How dare he hire his wife after all the other blatant things he has done? How do people think he talks about them when “they” are not listening? He is doing what he is doing because he is a miserable person, and again, untouchable.
The “People” should storm the Gracy Mansion and force him out.
