Yes, and Fauci did nothing on these drugs. He just keeps predicting doom and stumping for a vaccine that could personally make him billions.

This could change the whole epidemic ball game. Two things bother us about Covid-19: mortality and morbidity. Remdesivir seems to work for both. The big problem with Covid-19 is that it causes severe pneumonia, that triggers an inflammation cascade that wrecks the lungs and causes fatalities. Remdesivir seems to slow down or stop the pneumonia. That would prevent both lung damage and death. Right now, many people who get pneumonia from Covid-19 survive, but their lungs are wrecked. Some will need lifelong respiratory therapy, oxygen, or a lung transplant.
And hydroxychloroquine helps with early stage Covid-19, while Remdesivir helps with late stage. Azithromycin may also help with late stage. A good combo.
And if Covid-19 mortality and morbidity drops to low levels, then what happens? You tell me…

Well they do. Another dumb boondoggle is the claim that there are no proven treatments for Covid-19. Of course there are, and the CDC is bending the truth. Whenever docs can’t cure something, they treat the symptoms, and hope the patient’s own system will fix the problem. That often works. For example, there is no proven and complete ‘cure’ for heroin addiction, but an overdosed addict can be saved from death with drugs that block the heroin effects [naloxone]. It ‘s not a ‘cure’ but it can save a life.
That’s how they treat Covid-10 patients, they treat the symptoms and hope for the best. E.g., adding inhaled oxygen is not a ‘cure’ but it sure helps. Likewise, docs use meds that treat viral pneumonia, and that often helps. But those meds are not specific to Covid-19, and they are technically not a ‘cure’.
I think that’s dumb to claim that there are no treatments for Covid-19. It misleads the public. Public health rule #8: “Don’t mislead the public.”

So much for a vaccine! Fauci needs to go. He is useless. He’s been working on HIV for 38 years and doesn’t expect a cure for another 10 years, yet suddenly he knows all about this drug and still wants to drag out the use of it.
BTW, why don’t they use an existing pneumonia drug for the lungs?

Remdesivir – Negative effects – liver damage, nausea, vomiting. It has to be delivered by an IV. Plus from what I read it is approximately 50% effective. I think if it were me I would stick with the hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, zinc remedy.

Fauci praises the drug remdesivir that he has a financial interest in. Of course he does! It costs 100x more than the proven hydroxychloroquine that he bashes. But then, he can’t get wealthier from hydroxy. That’s his excuse. What is Pamela’s excuse for supporting this overpriced drug with lackluster results. It reduced patients hospital stay from 14 days to 11? Whoa! I’ll bet drinking orange juice every day would yield better results.
