During a press conference on Friday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) announced that he will issue an executive order next week “talking about what will be done in Texas about reopening Texas businesses also in a way that will be safe for that economic revitalization.”
Abbott said, “Next week, I will be providing an executive order, talking about what will be done in Texas about reopening Texas businesses also in a way that will be safe for that economic revitalization. We will focus on protecting lives while restoring livelihoods. … We can do both.”

We need to. Whatever we do, there will be lives lost. That is how the world works. Lives are lost for our rights to Freedom. It is a nice gesture to shut down and try to save as many lives as you can, but then condemning others to years of hardship to save the minority is not correct. I think we just need to let it run it’s course, or it is just going to be a vicious cycle. People can choose for themselves if they want to go out to eat or not. We do know that the majority survive this. It is not ok to destroy other people’s lives because people get sick. I do understand that we are dealing with something new, but with life their is risk.
The Left with their “but if it only saves one life, then all this will be worth it” is full of it. Thanks to them, people now have NO life whatsoever. And for those now cooped up like caged animals, plunged into extreme poverty, hopelessness, misery and despair by these policies, stripped of their dignity and their humanity and their individuality and their identity and their self-respect, prohibited from even going out for so much as a loaf of bread, they will be left to conclude that no, it WON’T be worth it, that life WON’T be worth living anymore, and that there is nothing left to live for or to look forward to. This is what one gets for electing Democrats to anything. That double talk is nothing more than code for “the ends justify the means.”
And don’t get me started on Dr. Mengele, er Kevorkian, er Emmanuel (Rahm’s brother). Who is an adviser to Biden and joined at the hip with the WHO’s CCP sock puppet Tedros.
Texas, also where Amina and Sarah Said were honor killed. Their “dad” Yaser is still at large, despite being on the FBI’s Most Wanted. His family and other scum like them are definitely protecting the POS!
I’ve done my own research on the Said family (including Patricia Owens-Said) and discovered addresses, social media accounts, etc. I’ve also contacted the FBI, Irving Police, and Governor Abbott himself, and provided this info, numerous times. Yet no progress is being made in tracking down Yaser Said, or charging anyone else with complicity!

Let us hope he does not come to regret this. Texas is about a third the way down the list of US states, 13,300 + cases. On the other hand if he succeeds it will help other states decide

Fear itself is a killer. There are other repercussions from keeping the lockdown. Health issues and deaths that result from fear, heart attacks, strokes, upset in insulin levels for diabetes patients, depression, increase in suicides, etc.
In other words some may die from the coronavirus, but others have an increase chance of dying from other reasons.
I say reopen the state, and I will take my chance of contracting the coronavirus.

We can’t go on being fearful. That’s not who we are as a country, as a people.
