Must-read book during Coronavirus Quarantine: Pierre Rehov’s “Beyond Red Lines”

3

I read Pierre Rehov’s “Beyond Red Lines” and I loved it!

Pierre Rehov had been known for a long time for his incredible work as a reporter and documentary filmmaker. He is a proud zionist. He fights Palestinian propaganda at every turn in his short films, and he denounces with all his might the attempt by Islam to conquer Western countries.

For instance, back in 2000, he was the first to expose the French government in the Al Durah affair, and we owe him factual (and therefore politically incorrect) films such as Suicide Killers, Unveiling Jerusalem, The Path to Darkness or War Crimes in Gaza.

Pierre Rehov is also a novelist, and a very good one. “Beyond Red Lines” is his first novel in English. And what a novel! Here is the summary as described on the back cover.

How far can Democracies go to defend themselves against the despicable methods of Islamic terrorism?

“By signing a contract for a new life, Theo expects anything but to find himself at the heart of a top-secret organization whose goal is to eradicate terrorism using the same methods as ISIS or Al Qaeda. But is it really because of his computer skills that he was offered this unexpected position in Mexico? Why all these mysteries about the mission that awaits him?

What was supposed to be the best opportunity of his career becomes a long descent into hell, while everything is gradually taken away from him. His family, his dignity and even his humanity.

After months of training against his own will, Theo now has only one goal: to find his wife and daughter.

The question raised by this turn page novel of unheard-of cruelty is political as well as philosophical. How far can Democracies go to defend themselves against the despicable methods of Islamic terrorism? What are the red lines that should not be crossed?

Jack Engelhard (Author of “Indecent Proposal”) has written about this book:

“Pierre Rehov has written a doozy of a thriller. This is a globe-trotting novel in which suspense is everywhere and the surprises are non-stop. The intrigues keep the reader turning the pages for the next fateful encounter. The pay-offs are perfectly timed and so very satisfying.”

I can only agree with this eminent writer. Beyond Red Lines reads… like a book.

The action is extremely gripping. Pierre Rehov’s credible characters and his knowledge of espionage and warfare techniques automatically place him on a par with a Tom Clancy or a Ken Follet. To be read urgently.

Another title of Interest: “The Plague” by Albert Camus [in English]
https://www.amazon.com/Plague-Albert-Camus/dp/0679720219
[on Kindle for 70 cents.]
A classic existentialist piece, where the physician narrator confronts mortality at every corner, in endless, haunting battles of will against the unknown. Cold and removed, to avoid energy wasted on empathy, he stalks the bubonic plague while it stalks him. comment image

“Moreover, the vision is realistic from the first pages: the description of the city is subject to a sharp look, which manages both to transcribe an atmosphere but also and above all to gradually expose the views of all those who are going to suffer the epidemic.”
