Task force members Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx now believe the United States can come well below the estimated death totals (Washington Examiner).  From Robert Redfield, the Director of the Centers for Disease Control: “If we just social distance, we will see this virus and this outbreak basically decline, decline, decline. And I think that’s what you’re seeing” (ABC News).  Another story explains “governors in some of the nation’s hotspots said Monday they see glimmers of hope in the latest data on the pandemic — evidence the rigid social distancing measures states have mandated are helping slow the spread of the virus” (Politico). More positive signs (Townhall).  From Guy Benson: Americans rising to the occasion, by making extraordinary sacrifices in the name of successful mitigation, was a major theme from Pence, Fauci & Birx toward the end of today’s briefing — the portion that Fox News, not CNN, covered live (Twitter).  The White House detailed the response to the outbreak, including “Since last Sunday, cargo planes have delivered nearly 300 million gloves, almost 8 million masks, and 3 million gowns” (White House).  Jim Geraghty looks at the hydroxychloroquine controversy, noting “Because every issue in public life seems to come back to Trump and what people feel about him, many anti-Trump voices want to focus on the evidence that it doesn’t work and could be potentially dangerous if misused, and many pro-Trump voices want to focus on the evidence that it does work” (National Review). A look at the positive direction of Italy’s graph (Twitter).  Meanwhile, in 2005, George Bush warned us we need to prepare for a pandemic ahead of time (Twitter).

To the chagrin of Fauci and Brix, it is looking more likely the end of April will be it for the return to work. Watch DEM states try to over rule that.

It seems to be connected to colder weather. I’d like to learn more about that concerning this virus. Usually cold weather kills germs…

The beginning of the end of the pandemic.. The herd immunity is much higher than projected..

Public health expert: Neil Ferguson originally predicted that the world would need to go into lock-down for 18+ months, he is now predicting that the virus will peak and subside within 2-3 weeks. .

This British Epidemiologist was behind the highly-cited (by NY Times..) coronavirus model – now drastically downgrades his projection..

Ferguson’s model projected 2.2 million dead people in the United States and 500,000 in the U.K. from COVID-19 if no action were taken to slow the virus and blunt its curve…

Now, estimates for far fewer people than 20,000 will die from the virus
