UPDATE: 3rd person held in France knife attack south of Lyon

Story continues below advertisementPARIS — A third person has been detained in a anti-terrorism investigation in France over a knife attack south of Lyon that left two people dead, authorities said Sunday.
The third arrest was made Saturday night, and that all three of the suspects are Sudanese, the French anti-terror prosecutor’s office said.
The article goes on to state the following:
On Saturday, a man attacked residents with a knife in the small town of Romans-sur-Isere, injuring several people in addition to to the two fatalities. Residents, who were in lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic, were carrying out their permitted daily food shopping.
The incident is being treated as a terrorist attack by French authorities, ABC News reported.
From ABC News:
The assailant, of Sudanese nationality, was arrested “while he was kneeling on a sidewalk praying in the Arabic language.”
On site, Minister of Interior Christophe Castaner spoke of a “terrorist journey” before telling the press that the national anti-terrorist prosecutor’s office was currently assessing the situation and would decide whether or not to qualify the act as a terrorist act.
In a press release, the Counterterrorism Prosecutor’s office revealed that “handwritten documents with religious overtones in which the author of the lines complained in particular of living in a country of disbelievers” were found duringa search carried out at the suspect’s home.

That’s why there are districts in Londonistan, Birmingslum & Molenbeek (Bruxelles) among so many Western European cities reminiscent of Karachi, Kabul, somali shanty towns or Bombay etc.

I’m in agreement that hanging has to be the best and depending on the crime should govern the manner in which they are hung. It’s either the humane drop that instantly breaks the neck or the slow swinging strangulation.

I think there the same people that I’d heard about but this was over a decade ago.

But I do get your point. Those poor victims were just going about there shopping for food routine that their government has insisted they follow when this madman attacked out of the blue.
If the French government has allowed so many mentally ill muzrats to live in their country then there will be often outbreaks of this savage madness and the non muz French need to be able to defend themselves.
The possession of guns should be controlled though and no consistent law breakers or moslems should be allowed to own a firearm.
And the same goes for the rest of Europe and the free world.

Agreed. After the spree shooter here where I live in Midland, I installed an overhead gun rack in my pickup and carry a security shotgun in it which I bought at Academy Sports, just in case there is another. And there will be another.
BTW, I survived Vietnam, I’ll be damned if I am going to be taken down by some deranged punk here in my home country.

Hello, Dave Glynn. He’s talking about something different from a standard pickemup truck gun rack. The standard gun rack, for a pickup, is/was placed in the rear window. Oftentimes, when I was living in Texas, I noticed that Texicans had ropes and cattle prods in them. Now that most pickups aren’t really work vehicles, having back seats, extended cabs, and many with four doors … the old fashioned rack isn’t really suitable. He’s talking about an overhead rack, really a security type of thing, where you can reach up and instantly grab a rifle/shotgun.

It all sounds great to me whether it’s the old fashioned style as in bygone days in Texas or the new overhead type.
Been looking at the defence type shotguns on YouTube and would be in seventh heaven just choosing one. It’s all brilliant and the right to defend your life should never be an issue but as you know that here it is.
I know for certain though that if guns were legal in Britain and shotguns were kept in cars then there would be a lot of road ragers dead and gone. And I know a few that would be serving time for it????

No, my wife drives a full-sized SUV. I bought the rag top for her in 2012, right after the 2013s came out. She’d never had a sports car. She hated it. So, after she grumbled about if for six years, I bought her the SUV. Other than my rusted out (and I mean as much rust as body) pickemup truck, I always take her hand-me-downs.
As for the horse … it’s too much trouble to dismount with a “pooper scooper” and keep the streets clean.

Just take the time to study gun death statistics in countries that have strict gun ownership laws against the number of deaths caused by guns in USA. The vast majority of citizens in the former are very satisfied with their laws and that in UK at least includes the police officers who are not routinely armed. Also please tell us now many terrorists acts have been prevented by owners of guns in USA

The gun stats used by gun grabbers in the US classify suicides as gun deaths that also include justifiable homicides.
As far as prevention is concerned, where to begin, say, maybe the church shooting in the church at Ft. Worth recently by an armed member of the congregation?
A better question would be, “Where was the armed private citizen who could have stopped or prevented the spree shooter at the Walmart in El Paso last summer or the one shortly thereafter right here in Midland?
