They also intended to assassinate someone they believed had “expressed Islam-critical views in public” – sounds like someone who does the work we do. COVID or no COVID, jihad never sleeps.

Germany: Police arrest five suspected terrorists over plot to attack US troops
i24NEWS – AFP, April 15, 2020, 5:13 AM
Five Tajik nationals said to have ordered bomb components online, stocked up on firearms
Five suspected members of an Islamic State terrorist cell have been arrested by German police on over a plot to attack US forces stationed in Germany, prosecutors said Wednesday.
The police raided a number of locations in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia, including several apartments, early on Wednesday, making four arrests. The fifth member of the cell had already been in detention.
The five suspects, all Tajik nationals, are said to have joined the Islamic State in January 2019.
They initially planned to launch attacks in Tajikistan, but high-ranking IS members in Syria and Afghanistan allegedly instructed them to set their sights on Germany.
The cell had been plotting to attack targets including US airbases and had already ordered bomb parts online, as well as stocking up on firearms and ammunition.
They also planned an assassination attempt on a person they believed had expressed Islam-critical views in public, and had already begun spying on the intended victim, prosecutors said.
Two of the suspects are also accused of traveling to Albania to carry out an assassination attempt in exchange for $40,000. However, the project failed and they returned to Germany.
