Now that we know that children are the least affected by Corona and do not die from it……of course, de Blasio closes the schools for six months. Now is the time to break free from the leftist choke-hold on education. De Vos ought to head up a major effort to homeschool these kids and teach them rational thought— the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, distinguishing justified belief from opinion.
De Blasio Says New York Public Schools Won’t Reopen Until September

New York City’s public school system, the largest in the country, will remain closed for the rest of the school year as the city continues to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said Saturday morning that the schools, which have been closed since March 16, won’t reopen until September. Schools shifted to remote learning on March 23. The public-school system serves 1.1 million students.
The decision was made out of caution for students, faculty and staff, Mr. de Blasio said.
Michael Mulgrew, the president of the United Federation of Teachers, which represents 116,000 teachers, said last week that the city couldn’t return to schools until people could be safe.
“The city can’t even contemplate reopening schools until it has the equipment, the personnel and the procedures in place to ensure to parents and staff that the buildings will be safe,” Mr. Mulgrew said.
Remote learning has proved challenging for the city’s Education Department. Attendance in online classes has been an issue, although the city hasn’t released official data, Mr. de Blasio said last week.
“It’s a problem we predicted, unfortunately,” Mr. de Blasio said. “It’s a problem we assumed.”

Felon Released From New York Jail Over Coronavirus

A week after being released from Rikers Island prison in New York, James Little, a violent felon, was arrested following a failed bank robbery attempt.
(This is not an isolated case. No job. Companies are shut down and he is a felon… you should expect crime to go up when you release violent criminals! NY and other states are debating releasing ICE detainees too. SOROS is behind this criminal release.)
Violent Felon Released, Robs Bank
James Little, 40, was released from Rikers Island prison in New York on March 28th, due to fears regarding the coronavirus outbreak. Little had been arrested earlier in the month for allegedly strangling his girlfriend in her home in Brooklyn. He had been on parole since 2016, after serving more than 20 years in prison for a 1995 murder that he had committed when he was just 15 years old.
Only a week after being let out of the New York prison, the violent felon allegedly attempted to rob the Apple Bank in Gramarcy Park in Manhattan. Wearing a face mask and gloves, Little passed the teller a note that read, “give me money,” according to police sources. He left the bank with no extra money in his pocket, and was arrested the next day. Police now believe he robbed two banks in Midtown in January and December last year, making off with over $1,000 from each robbery.
Democrats Are Making This Country Unsafe!
With the recent behaviour from Democrats, this was inevitable. Representatives Jerry Nadler and Karen Bass, both Democrats, sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr at the end of last month demanding that he release “as many prisoners as possible” from the nation’s jails in order to “protect them from COVID-19.”
(BARR is considering this too!)
Individuals at a high risk of catching the coronavirus should be released, they argued, no matter what security category of jail they’re in. It is fair to say that this would have included Mr. Little. Democrats are literally making this country even more dangerous.

Children seem not to get sick from the virus but they do carry it wherever they go which is usually home. Perhaps they should be deliberately exposed and then placed in quarantine till they are no longer contagious to help build up our herd immunity.

Considering that Manhattan is an island and access can be controlled, why not close the bridges and tunnels and open up the economy activity in Manhattan first? See how it goes.

Our RINO Governor in Indiana closed our schools statewide until September a couple weeks ago. Indiana University is closed until next fall, too. Maybe people will figure out how worthless these schools are after being off for six months.

NYC had the top-rated public schools (and the largest) in the country. Kaiser Wilhelm has done a poor job managing it, but that should not surprise anybody living outside of New York. Socialism only serves some people, and the rest are disposable. He is an Elite.He is another Socialist millionaire, earning over $200,000 a year. (Not bad for a public servant).
