SKEWING DATA: Feds classifying all coronavirus patient deaths as ‘COVID-19’ deaths, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE

Clearly, it’s skewing data.

Feds classifying all coronavirus patient deaths as ‘COVID-19’ deaths, regardless of cause

By Fox News, April 7, 2020

The federal government is classifying the deaths of patients infected with the coronavirus as COVID-19 deaths, regardless of any underlying health issues that could have contributed to the loss of someone’s life.

Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, said the federal government is continuing to count the suspected COVID-19 deaths, despite other nations doing the opposite.

“There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition, and let’s say the virus caused you to go to the ICU [intensive care unit] and then have a heart or kidney problem,” she said during a Tuesday news briefing at the White House. “Some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death.

“The intent is … if someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that,” she added.

Asked whether the numbers could skew data the government is trying to collect, Birx said that would mostly apply more to rural areas where testing isn’t being implemented on a wide scale.

“I’m pretty confident that in New York City and New Jersey and places that have these large outbreaks and COVID-only hospitals. … I can tell you they are testing,” she said.

Dr. Michael Baden, a Fox News contributor, said it’s reasonable to include the death of someone infected with the virus, who also had other health issues, in the COVID-19 body count.

“In the normal course, autopsies would then determine whether the person died of the effects of the COVID virus, whether the person had a brain tumor or brain hemorrhage, for example, that might be unrelated to it and what the relative significance of both the infection and the pre-existing disease is,” Baden told Fox News.

However, the number of autopsies being performed could be low due to the danger of infection, he said.

“Then you will include in those numbers some people who did have a pre-existing condition that would have caused death anyway, but that’s probably a small number,” Baden said.

The United States had 398,185 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday night, including more than 12,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.

President Trump spent Monday trying to assure Americans that the US and health facilities are prepared for a possible surge in cases in the coming weeks.

“Progress has been made before the surge,” Trump said during the White House coronavirus briefing, where he said hospitals will be stockpiled with much-needed equipment. “The next week, week and a half is when the big surge is going to come.”

What’s even worse …. This site quoted the CDC “guidance”, wherein the deceased didn’t even have to be tested to determine that they were infected with Covid-19. If it was “assumed”, the cause of death was to be listed as Covid-19.
That’s going a bit far, isn’t it?

(04-07-20) “In watching and reading about the daily Presidential Coronavirus Task Force briefings from the White House, there is often two differing viewpoints-what I actually saw during the press conference and what was reported. The two are not the same. The view of the reporters is so jaundiced against the President and his team, that they are not even able to get the facts right. Their opinion on the commentary has become in their eyes, the facts. They continue poking holes, distributing fake news, and guiding the people of this country toward fear and hopelessness. The leadership of the Democratic Party do the same. Hollywood “stars” also say horrible things. They all should be ashamed.

How many times have you read about some actor or actress saying that Trump is a murderer because of his response on COVID-19? Reporters know that Trump is not a murderer. He is not premeditatedly killing American citizens. So the story has no credibility, yet they write it anyway. Democrats have said Trump’s response was slow and resulted in many deaths. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) likened Trump to Nero watching Rome burn. She said that “As the President fiddles, people are dying.” When Trump first banned travel from China in January, however, Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden attacked Trump’s “record of hysteria, xenophobia and fear mongering,” and Bernie Sanders said he wouldn’t shut down the borders and condemned the President’s xenophobia. Other Democrats joined in their criticism.

At the same time, the mainstream media, including the Washington Post, the New York Times, Vox and others said that Trump’s travel ban would not work, was emotional and political, and began printing stories sympathetic to China. Then they criticized Trump for not closing down travel sooner. Another example is the Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General issuing a report that there was a shortage of COVID-19 tests. The HHS Secretary said this was the first he had heard of it when asked by a reporter. President Trump questioned the reporters who were circulating the story and found out that the Inspector General that issued the false report was appointed by the immediate past president. The reporters knew the source was not credible and was following a political agenda, but reported the story anyway.

Either you are part of the problem or part of the solution. Hollywood, the news media, or the Democratic Party leadership has not made one suggestion of how Trump and his team could do a better job. Just that he is a murderer, xenophobe and worse. Calling people names, writing stories with no credible sources, saying hateful things, stirring hopelessness and fear, does not help us solve this pandemic. We need to be working together as one body, as described in 1 Corinthians. Verse 25 says, “There should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.” This is exhorting believers in Christ, but it is also how we as Americans should behave during this time of crisis. This holds for all of us. We are either part of the problem or part of the solution.” …..Bill Wilson, http://www.dailyjot.com

REMINDER: Pelosi and the Dems KNEW ABOUT THE CORONVIRUS LAST YEAR!

SO, MAYBE THE BLAME SHOULD LIE AT THE FEET OF THE DEMOCRATS AND THE MSM?

She has no credibility to be on the task force anymore. She always said, I do not like to say anything without data. Well, how can you say anything without that really mostly important data.

Simple logic: Just because a patient dies WITH coronavirus doesn’t automatically mean that they died FROM it as would be the case concerning any of the other attributable catastrophic illnesses such as cancer or heart disease.
