CNN anchor Anderson Cooper appeared visibly annoyed by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman Wednesday as they discussed her push for the city to reopen its businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.
At one point, Cooper attempted to illustrate the coronavirus’ danger by citing Chinese research on how the virus spreads.
“Oh, you are good. Anderson, you are tough,” Goodman said mockingly. “We’re back to China, this isn’t China. This is Las Vegas, Nevada.”
“Wow,” Cooper responded, “OK, that’s really ignorant.”

“That’s ignorant to say?” Goodman asked, as a graphic of a restaurant in China appeared on the screen.
“That’s an ignorant statement,” responded Cooper, who also seemed distressed when Goodman said she loved watching her people being “careful” during the pandemic. As she spoke, he took off his glasses, rubbed his eyes, and let out a sigh.
This wasn’t the first time Goodman faced intense pushback in the media.
MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle appeared stunned on Tuesday when one of her guests, Diamond Resorts founder and former CEO Stephen Cloobeck, went off on Goodman’s response to the coronavirus-induced economic restrictions.
“I’m really furious about something, Stephanie,” Cloobeck said. “Mayor Goodman … she has nothing to do with The Strip and we’re sick and tired of hearing this. The person in charge of the strip is Ms. [Marilyn] Kilpatrick and she’s head of the [Clark] County Commission — and that’s what runs The Strip once and for all.”

The DEM mayor doesn’t want Las Vegas to collapse. They can only stay closed for so long and she knows that. I give her credit for reopening. Cooper is a perverted creep.

But this episode shows just how much hateful the Left is of any woman that does not toe the far-left party line (not just Vegas’ Mayor Goodman but also South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem), and how much they get away with the kind of open sexism, misogyny and misandry that they would never countenance for hags like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot or Michigan Governor Ratched, er (Half-)Whitmer. Those two, it’s “how dare you single her out solely because she’s a woman.”

Exactly! Our city, Vegas, cannot stay shutdown like this. Our city needs to reopen or there’s no way we will survive.
It is so weird to look out my upstairs windows in 2 of my spare bedrooms where I can see the entire strip from up there… I’ve never seen it like that & it is scary.
I did read that the Wynn will be opening up & they have planned out all the new strict rules for customers & employees. It is quite interesting.

Because the Mayor of Las Vegas sees this shut down for what it really is, and SHE’S the one who doesn’t get it?? It’s the deluded Cooper and friends who are completely out of it. It would have been great, if, he would have had a real meltdown on live television. The LV Mayor should have known better and never consented to do an interview on CNN in the first place. There are plenty of other venues she could have gone on to spread her message, without the enduring the monumental unprofessional behavior displayed by that idiot, Cooper.

BOOM! 46 million in USA have already had Covid-19
NY State finds that about 14% statewide have had Covid-19

If 14% in the USA have had Covid-19, then that’s about 46 million who have had it.
And today 845,580 have been directly diagnosed with ever having Covid-19 in the USA. That’s far less than 14% of the population.
So if I divide 46 million by 845,580 = then there are more than 54 times as many Covid-19 cases out there in the USA than we thought were out there. This makes the Case Fatality Rate even lower than 1 in a thousand [0.1%], and the number of recovered cases is huge, probably about 45 million. Also, the percent of cases who are currently infected becomes less than 1% of all cases. This also means that the epidemic probably started in the USA in fall 2019, because it takes a long time to infect 46 million people.

Of course CNN supports the shutdown of our economy. Pre-pandemic, they were dead last behind MSNBC and their ratings were in the toilet. Since the shutdown, their daily audience has more than doubled.
CNN is profiting off of the misery of Americans.
Anything broadcast by CNN should be viewed as coming directly from Communist Chinese state-run TV.

What’s worse, all the major media have ties to movie studios that bow and scrape before Communist China in terms of the content of the pictures they put out. CNN, for example, is kin to Warner Bros, both are owned by AT&T-run Warner Media. NBC and MSNBC are both related corporately to Universal. CBS is interconnected (via Viacom and National Amusements) with Paramount Pictures. And ABC is owned by Disney which now controls what has been rebranded as 20th Century Studios and Searchlight. So it figures that they’d parrot the CCP party line all the time.
But I agree with you – people SHOULD stop watching all of the above.

Sorry, i’ll have to disagree here. Open up if you must, but sign a waiver excluding us from having to treat you for Covid19. I lost a friend, 52, 4 kids, no underlying health issues, plus know of another guy 54, 7 kids, no previous health issues. Opening up now in an dense urban area is just plain S**T for brains. My opinion.

52 and 54? Most likely had an underlying heart condition. More males die from blocked artery at the ages from 50 to 60 than above 60. Above 60 you are more likely to survive heart attacks. The blocked artrey that is the culprit is the main feed to the left of the heart. They call it the widow maker. It feeds two descending arteries. One to the front and one to the back. Both of these supply 60% of the heart on the left. If it that one blocks 100%…usually game over. I was lucky I had one, the left arterial descending (LAD) blocked 99%. I had another, right coronary artery (RCA) blocked 100% on the right. Guess what the only symptoms I had was rage. I got pissed off in record time. 24 hours before i ended up on the slab is when I had back pain and some nausea. then a few hours before the slab was chest pains. It happened on my daughters 18 birthday. Guess what my age was at the time. 49 years old. That was in 2003. I will be 65 next month. I have a stint in the LAD and the RCA is still blocked. No bypass…..yet. I have known 2 fellows who checked out at 55 and one at 61. One was a jogger. The other slovenly like me.

You cannot operate a casino with social distancing it just will not work. Take the roulette wheel for example or the card tables. The slots? Absolute chaos. I wish PG would stop polticisng this issue as she knows about jihad not COVID. Pamela is starting to sound hysterical
