British PM Boris Johnson admitted to hospital for tests over ‘persistent’ coronavirus symptoms

By: CNBC, Apr 5 2020:

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to the hospital for tests 10 days after contracting the coronavirus.

A Downing Street spokesperson said it’s a “precautionary step” since the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of the virus.

“The Prime Minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the Government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives,” the spokesperson said.

Johnson, 55, is the first major governmental leader known to have contracted the disease and had been self-isolating at home.

He remains in charge of the government and is in contact with ministerial colleagues and officials.

The news of Johnson’s hospitalization followed a rare television address to the nation by Queen Elizabeth, who urged citizens to confront the pandemic with resolve and unity.

“I am speaking to you at what I know is an increasingly challenging time,” the queen said in a taped broadcast from Windsor Castle. “A time of disruption in the life of our country: a disruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, and enormous changes to the daily lives of us all.”

The virus has infected more than 40,000 people in Britain, including the Queen’s eldest son and heir to the British Throne, Prince Charles.

Hope he gets well and with relative ease.

Mr. Johnson and other leaders have been re-evaluating their relationship with China. After everything, and now this…NO country should allow China to build any 5G Networks in their backyards. ever.

Hear Hear!
The Chinese government have proved themselves to be highly untrustworthy and I’m sure nothing good could be achieved through allowing them anywhere near our communications network.

Tell this to Trudeau. He already is allow China to build 5G in the northern territories and is considering it for the rest of the country.

Intelligence is not his strong point. BS is.

Dominic Raab, the foreign secretary, is now officially deputising for the Prime Minister while he is incapacitated.

The best pm Great Britain has ever had since Churchill and the only one I have ever given my full support to.
It would be such a blow to the nation if he dies at this crucial time.
BEST OF LUCK TO BORIS!????????
