And yesterday, Raw Conservative reported, President Donald Trump on Thursday argued with an NBC reporter during a White House press conference for the coronavirus task force, denying that his administration was unprepared for the outbreak.
“It could have been stopped pretty easily if everybody had known,” Trump said, according to Raw Story, prompting NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker to reply, “You said you did know.”
Trump said, “It could have been stopped in its tracks,” but “Unfortunately, [China] didn’t decide to make it public.”
Welker continued to push Trump, asking, “You did say a few days ago that you did have a sense that this was a pandemic, so why was the United States not prepared with more tests?”

The president denied that his administration was caught off-guard, saying, “We were very prepared. The only thing we weren’t prepared for was the media. The media has not treated it fairly.”

But reporter was correct in exposing the fact that the admin slept on it for weeks with no testing , tracking those travelling into America.
Indian govt on other hand brought in Indian citizens stuck in china (wuhan) and S.E Asia and quarantined them . others who came in from dubai and Europe brought in infection but its still low at 189 cases with 4 deaths

In America 16458 cases with 224 deaths.

No they didn’t sleep on it. China was hiding how bad it was. You don’t want to over react or under react. If China was honest, and that is where this originated from, we could have acted in December. I don’t blame Trump for that.
I’ve noticed you are consistently negative towards Trump. It usually starts out with “If Trump was smart he’d Executive Order, blah, blah blah.” Trump is smart and understands you cannot rule by Executive Order on everything. He knows the limits on Executive Orders and rightly prefers legislation to make it stick.

Trump reacted in January after he found out about it and checked the facts. China HIDE the problem.
China had the problem since at least November 2019 and never said a word about it. China censors people and the internet.
Why not LISTEN to an interview or read up on it? I really don’t understand your siding with Trump’s opposition.

Meh Suresh has the divine gift of 20/20 hindsight. Trump has been doing such a good job that he’s drawn praise for his handling of the Chinese virus from Gavin Newsome and Ilhan Omar. And peeps listen to those two, right or wrong, sooo much more than they do Suresh!

As a foreigner I will simply point out that not one Western country’s government was not to some extent caught napping by coronavirus. The difference today is that no country in the world has as disgusting, loathsome and destructive a liberal media as that the United States of America. Canada has only now closed a border crossing into Quebec from New York State through which about 1,000 a month undocumented illegals have been filing – and about this Canada’s disgusting, liberal, MSM is silent. Right now flights from China continue to and passengers enter the country unscreened!

Well said! Even though we are a land of liberty, it’s really sad that those of today’s Democratic Party are avowed socialists/communists like Sanders. Some like Omar and Tliab would like us to be like Somalia or even worse Libya! I thank you for your comments. I do not know what country you are from but I welcome you into mine. It’s very sad, however, of what Europe has become since the EU (aka EWWW) took over. The rights of individual countries no longer exist. The leaders do not even think of what’s good as a whole but for their own pockets. To allow Germany to preside over Europe is to me akin to what it was like during the 1930s and into the 40s. The fact that the countries like Greece and Italy could not say NO to the so-called ‘refugees’ who were not truly that is a disgrace! Since they were close to the front lines of terrorism, why couldn’t they have their own rights to deny entry without background checks?! Meanwhile the once beautiful Sweden is no longer safe for Jews due to the Islamic-Terrorist 6th century mindset.

Maybe so. Sometimes the market is like a yo-yo, or a rubberband and it comes right back. There are also such things as a sell off, market correction, and destruction of wealth. Am I pissed at the lefty media for shouting fire in one crowded theater after another? Hell yeah. They couldn’t get any traction several weeks before this became a widespread panic by predicting a recession but one of their get-Trump strategies is to ruin the economy and the fall in the market is like manna from heaven to them.
I’m not a stock trader, but I have a portfolio of funds that I’ve been building for decades. I’ve already lost about $250k this year and I’m on the sidelines for now.

CharlieSeattle, unlike you, Trump, myself and thousands of others recognized that the NBC’s reporter question implied the usual liberal, left-wing, accusation that Trump had got it wrong. I’ve already watched the contemptible CNN’s Chris Quomo on the same bandwagon – even after Governor Quomo of New York on Thursday praised Trump and his Administration for their tireless “night and day” efforts. Long ago I had an aunt living on the Olympic Peninsula and considered it a lovely part of the world – not least when looking back from the ferry out of Tacoma as the sun set on the Cascade mountains – but something has gone badly wrong with human brains in your neck of the woods. Hate, perversity, impracticality and stupidity abounds – I guess much like those in New York! Does that bollocks make you idiots happy?

Allot of these co called “reporters” ask the same questions over and over again and don’t register the answers. They are not aggressive listeners – that’s for sure! Trump is a very aggressive listener and tracks a conversation. He is a thinker. He is also the kind of guy to reach for who is considered to be the best, learn from them and run with them. He gives them a chance and it they screw up, looks for a way to get rid of them.
He doesn’t like wasting time or incompetent people. There is swamp speed and Trump time. This is where there is another clash with the swamp and the bureaucracy.. Allot of them don’t know what they are doing, don’t care and get very little done. Their main concern is staying in position and playing politics.
The other day, one asked again why the Trump administration rejected the test kits from WHO. The female in the picture, forget her name, answered that a few days ago. She explained they only offered a few test kits and they were not up to our standards.
I have to wonder if “reporters” just like the sound of their own voice or are they so negative towards Trump they only think to ask negative questions? They sure weren’t this aggressive and vicious with Obama.
