US House Democrats block bill opposing boycott of Jews (BDS)

48

As expected the neo-Nazi Democrat Party blocked legislation to combat the anti-Semitic BDS movement. To add insult to injury, this act of betrayal is just days after the AIPAC Policy Conference. A strong pro-Israel Jewish organization in the United States is urgently needed. An organization that is not afraid to go to war against the anti-Semitic Left. #Jexodus!

US House Democrats block anti-BDS bill

By JNS, March 5, 2020:

Democrats blocked a bill on Wednesday in the U.S. House of Representatives that would have prohibited U.S. support for the anti-Israel BDS movement.

The Israel Anti-Boycott Act, introduced by Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), would have expanded the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 to include prohibiting U.S. support for foreign boycotts of Israel from groups including the European Union and the U.N. Human Rights Council.

Lawmakers defeated consideration of the bill by a tally of 219-194.

“We cannot be quiet when it comes to combating anti-Semitism and anti-Israel mentalities,” said Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) on the House floor. “We need to work together in Congress and pass common-sense legislation on this issue. H.R. 5595 does just that.”

“BDS tries to delegitimize Israel by turning it into a pariah state, cut off from all trade, tourism, military, diplomatic and cultural ties with the rest of the world,” said Zeldin, who mentioned in his speech on the House floor about the U.N. Human Rights Council releasing a blacklist of companies that do business in the West Bank.

The bill stated that it would not apply to “a person’s noncommercial speech or other noncommercial expressive activity.”

Democrats have been reluctant to support anti-BDS legislation due to First Amendment concerns, although it is unclear whether that rationale was the reason that House Democrats blocked the bill.

Most Democrats are anti-Semitic socialists. The few who aren’t are not paying attention.

In the secular Jewish world, support for Israel has become conditional based upon how it conforms to their progressive ideology.

This erosion in support was inevitable. Since Israel’s founding, its laws and culture has been formed and shaped by Orthodox Judaism. Israel today remains a unique melding of Jewish theology and western democracy.

Secular Jews have always resented this and over the past 20 years, this has led to more division and the end to unconditional support.

The math does not favor secular Jews. Their numbers are slowly shrinking. Assimilation, intermarriage and the decision to have less children is resulting in a slow steady decline. Mirroring the shrinking membership in Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Episcopalian denominations, Conservative and Conservadox jewish denominations are close to extinction. The Reform movement is headed for the same fate.

Americans have a right to boycott whoever the hell we want. These anti-boycott laws are an outrageous violation of our rights in service of a parasitic foreign power. Neocons are not allies of nationalists in the West.

I hope we go to war against the modern-day anti-semites, I think it’ll be a lot of fun.

Even if I don’t get to participate, just watching the smug, obnoxious, screaming Jew-haters getting their ass kicked will be very satisfying.

So you support the right to boycott Israel, the only Democracy in the ME, because you object to its behavior

Yet, curiously, you don’t support or call for a boycott of China, a one party communist dictatorship that abuses its citizens, denies civil rights and persecutes dissenters and any one practicing their religion.

Yet, curiously, you don’t support or call for a boycott of Iran, a one party Islamic dictatorship that abuses its citizens, denies civil rights and persecutes dissenters and homosexuals.

Your selective outrage towards Israel is telling, It’s a convenient beard for your anti-semitism. Don’t confuse your political positions for actual values. You were raised to hate.

Yes I support that right. What I don’t support is sabotage of such trade.

As for China…the USA does business with worse abusers and you give them a pass.

As for Iran…there are no bilateral relations with the USA.

Jew haters are all about Jews and ONLY Jews. They dont care if the rest of the world is burning people alive or chopping people’s heads off. Its about JEWS AND ONLY JEWS.
Theyre so obvious. I see it all day, every day. Same ol thing: “You Jews are the spawn of satan”, Revelation 3:9., ‘You Jews are Talmud toting devils’, ETC.
Bla bla bla bla bla.
Its an everyday circus of the most idiotic people alive.

Your fake arab country ‘palestine’ is the damned parasite, and the moslem leeches like sarsour, tlaib, and omar that have fastened themselves to power in your country, as well as their supporters, enablers, and mentors.

Jews do not reject Christ (meaning the Anointed One). Jews believe that decedent of King David will be Anointed King of Israel. Was Jesus properly Anointed King of Israel? Is pouring olive oil on someones head makes such person a king? Please, read what you call “The Old Testament” about anointing oil, its proper ingredients, how it is supposed to be done and who does the anointing. Perhaps you will understand why Jews did not embrace Christian doctrine.

It would be enough for me, if he is properly anointed, but where is the one who rose from dead? Point me in the right direction, so I could see. Just hearing rumors is not enough for me.

Witnesses? How many? The Torah was given to 2 million Jews on mount Sinai and every one of them saw that and heard the word of God. I do believe God’s word, including His warning that false prophets will be sent to Israel, performing all sorts of miracles and trying to make the Nation of Israel to err. I notice that you avoided answering my direct question about anointing the King of Israel. Even if he rose from the dead, as you claim it, if he hasn’t been properly anointed to be The King of Israel, he is not Christ. Details are important in such matter.

Again. The meaning of word “christ” is the same as the meaning of word “messiah”. Both words mean anointed. So, not anointed is not christ and is not a messiah. Your statements are ignorant. Read the Bible, preferably in Hebrew, and you will learn that ingredients of anointment oil and anointment rites were directed by the God himself. Yes. he made impact on Gentiles and truly believing Gentiles will be brought to the true Christ, but not those who denounce and bad mouth the Nation of Israel. In Exodus Moses is instructed to say to Pharaoh “Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn.”

But the point is that the one you are talking about is not the Christ. Again, anointment is a commandment, not tradition. God does not require Gentiles to follow all 613 commandments of Torah. All you have to do is to follow 7 Noahide rules. That is all you need to do. But Jews, as a priestly nation, are required to follow separate set of laws. And the worst thing that Gentiles can do is to try to dissuade Jews from doing that.

Agree to disagree. I’m not a Jew, you are. Your truth will come at the moment of death. Pray that it comes soon, or you’ll be sitting in hell until it does come. If you go there you’ll know that I’m right. God has promised to save the Jews thru Christ but its not clear if that’s all of them, or just latter day Jews.
9 “:But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 10Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. 11You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.”. Titus 3

You won’t have a choice, dear. YOu can’t get into Heaven without Christ, but God will overcome the hardness of heart.
It’s interesting that you sound just like a Catholic, who are also not Christians according to the Bible. Same emphasis on tradition, and the blindness of spirit. They WON”T be saved, unless they repent and come to Christ.

The brainwashing of America’s secular Jews is irreversible. Fifty years ago, who would have guessed that American Evangelical Christians would be far more supportive of Israel than the majority of American Jews.

Worsethanitlooks

“Most Jews are supportive in some way towards Israel” Your conditional statement speaks volumes. Thanks for proving my point.

Fact:
– Most American Jews (at least 65%) vote Democratic, not just because they hate Trump.
– The Democratic party has abandoned AIPAC. They’re afraid to “offend” the radical left.
– The Democratic party refuses to denounce the chronic anti-semitism coming from the Squad including their support for Corbyn’ s rabidly anti-semitic UK Labor Party.
– When Obama broke tradition and voted against Israel in the UN, or kissed the ass of Iran, the greatest threat to Israel, the response from Congressional Democrats was approval and silent obedience to the master.

Actions speak louder than words. American Jewish support for Israel used to be unconditional. The Left has made it conditional. Grow up. Choose a side or STFU.

Well according to this web site https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jewish-voting-record-in-u-s-presidential-elections, 24% of Jews voted for Trump. So, it is not quite 1/4th. If Jews in Israel took such vote it would be a majority, I am sure, but American Jews are brainwashed by DNC badly.

Oh, y’all can deny that up the pooper, but statistically, Jews tend to vote liberal and Democratic.
Probably reams of books and theses have been written on the subject, but it sure looks like nobody’s figured out the underlying “why?” nor suggested any way to try to reverse the tide.

I’ve had “discussions” with rabbis who recommend “open discussions with Islamists,” so as to “understand them” and my response was “how can I have that kind of “discussion” with Islamist fundamentalists who’ve made it painfully clear that their goals and strategies are to either tax, convert or kill me for not following their “religion”!

Our current rabbi and most of the congregants in the temple to which my wife and I belong are staunchly anti-guns, but are also impervious to any kind of statistics, reports or “logical discussion” of why guns are NOT responsible for killing and why it’s so hard to figure out how to find the PEOPLE who are the ones likely to GET a gun and express their frustration or anger or insecurities or whatever by going out and killing people!

but, hey, Democrats have been promising stuff to everyone, lke, FOREVER and Not Delivering, so somewhere in THAT is something to be looked into… WhyTF do so many people (Jews, in this case) fail to recognize that Promising is NOT the same as Delivering?! …. But they vote for the Promisers anyway…

I’m gobsmacked. Got any explanations? PLEASE Share and explain!

the problem is that you go to a Temple. For Jews there is only one Temple, the one that will be re-built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Reform movement, that originated in Germany, calls their synagogues “Temples” because they quit real Judaism that teaches about return of Jews to the promised land and rebuilding the Temple of God in Jerusalem. Reformists believe no such thing. They say that Temples can be built anywhere, no need to return to the land. No need for the State of Israel. Abortions on demand and party loyalty comes first and then they ask, why Holocaust happened, we were such loyal Germans?

You are asking the right question. To understand why majority of American Jews vote for Democrats is the same reason other minority groups (Blacks, Catholics, Hispanics) do. it’s rooted in tradition and inertia. Pre-WWII, FDR was the first Democratic Admin to really target minorities. The Depression resulted in large masses of the population becoming dependent upon the Federal Govt for survival.

The Democratic Party also aligned itself with unions and working class people. In the 60s, the Democrats were given credit for supporting the Civil Rights movement and later, the War on Poverty.

To the contrary, The Republican Party, for years, became associated with big business, special interests and the perpetuation of racism and anti-semitism.

The facts of course did not align with the perception or reputation. In truth, some of the most virulent racists were Southern Democratic politicians.

Here’s a link to a story about President Richard Nixon, who had a well earned reputation for being anti-semitic yet he was the first US President to support the State of Israel and provide massive military aid during the Yom Kippur War.
