Sanders Campaign Says Pro-Bernie Imam’s Remarks Are ‘Offensive And Toxic’

Story continues below advertisementThe Bernie Sanders campaign distanced itself Tuesday from “offensive and toxic” remarks from a Muslim cleric who spoke at a rally for the presidential candidate Saturday.
Faiz Shakir, the Sanders campaign manager, issued a statement responding to resurfaced video from November 2015 of Imam Sayed Hassan Qazwini asserting that the Islamic State “somehow is connected to Israel.”
“The campaign has been made aware of offensive and toxic past statements by Imam Qazwini,” Sanders campaign manager Faiz Shakir told Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin.
“These statements are dangerous, hateful, and violate the principles of our movement, which is based on values of equality and dignity for all people.”
Shakir has not responded to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation regarding Qazwini’s sermons decrying the legalization of gay marriage.
“Unfortunately, due to the lobbying of homosexual groups, the United States had to succumb to the pressure, and come to a point at which, instead of telling Americans that homosexuality is a form of disorder, they are telling Americans that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality,” the cleric said July 3, 2015.
On Saturday, Qazwini, the head of the Islamic Institute of America, spoke at a rally for Sanders in Dearborn, Michigan. Sanders has campaigned heavily in Michigan, which he considers a must-win state in order to remain competitive against Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden.
“We need someone who does not promote anti-Semitism in this country, someone who does not promote Islamophobia in this country, someone who does not promote white supremacy in this country, someone like Bernie Sanders who loves all and supports all,” Qazwini said at the event.
Those remarks appear in stark contrast with the cleric’s sermons several years ago.
On Nov. 20, 2015, Qazwani preached at a Detroit mosque that ISIS was working with Israel to conduct terrorist attacks in the Middle East in order to undermine Islam.
“ISIS somehow is connected to Israel,” Qazwini said, “and ISIS is playing the role of the arm of the Zionist in the Muslim world to kill more Muslims and non-Muslims so it can define the name of Islam, so people can blame Islam for its atrocities.”

It’s absolutely sickening how detached from reality these imbeciles on the Left are. Supposedly they’re more educated, enlightened than the Right and they are champions of the oppressed. But how can they align themselves with the most destructive cult in human history?
Either they’re a lot dumber than they realize, or too lazy to actually do some basic research on Islam, or they really DGAF about all the rape/violence/genocides Muslims are responsible for, they just want to cynically use them as battering ram against the Right.
There is no doubt the Left and Right have fundamental differences but despite that, we all should be uniting together against this dangerous ideology which is a threat to our freedom and way of life.
Bernie Sanders in his deluded mental state, the same fever dream most on the Left shared, probably thought embracing Islam would win him votes for his virtue-signalling and ofc that just blew up in his face because the average American is not an idiot. He/she knows Muslims are the enemy, so Sanders got the drubbing he richly deserves.
What the morons on the Left don’t realize is that when the Muslims are done using them, they will be the first to lose their heads and the realization of their blunder will be the final thought they’ll ever have as they hit the ground. In Bernie’s case they’ll probably stick it on a pike while they dance around shouting ‘Allahu Akbar!”

Ban Islam
Our kids are being “educated” into their imbecility. They have accepted the post truth world view so that facts no longer matter. They believe what they want to believe and accept that as true and reject everything that conflicts with what they believe. It is rather unfortunate but when they’ve been getting that indoctrination from kindergarten on up, that indoctrination becomes difficult to resist. As a result, the more “education” they get they become too “smart” to think they’ve bought into a lie and thus resist the actual truth that much harder.

Quite right, the education system has made them arrogant, instead of teaching them how to think. The Muslims are more than happy to take advantage of these deluded idiots for their own ends.
If we survive the next 40 years without being conquered by Islam, history books will talk about the treason and betrayal mostly on the Left when they foolishly united with Islam against us, much the way parties bowed to the Nazis in the past.
Stupid humans, never learn from our mistakes so we keep making them over and over. I have no doubt now either the future will belong to Islam as Obama said or we’ll only wake up when 10 million people in the West have been genocided by Muslims in a new Holocaust and we’ll find ourselves in WW3.

One only needs to read the Bible to see humans repeating the same mistakes over and over again. It’s “almost” as if we keep doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. The truth is when we want to decide what is good and evil for ourselves, we will always choose the evil thinking it is good so what we keep doing is choosing the same evil over and over again.
