Graham to Chinese Ambassador: ‘If You Don’t Shut Those Wet Markets Down, Our Trading Relationship Is Going to Change’

Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) urged the Chinese government to shut down wet markets that offer meat from exotic animals, which he argued transmit viruses from animals to humans, including the COVID-19/coronavirus.
Story continues below advertisement“I’m going to write a letter to the World Health Organization and to the Chinese ambassador asking them to close the Chinese wet markets,” Graham said. “These are open-air markets where they sell monkey. They sell bat. We think we — this whole thing started from a transmission from a bat to a human. About the last three or four pandemics have come from the Chinese wet markets. I don’t think this came from a Chinese military lab, but these wet markets are gross, they’re just absolutely disgusting, selling exotic animals that transmit viruses from animals to human beings. Those things need to shut down.”
When asked if he thought that would do any good, Graham said he would threaten the U.S.-China trading relationship.
“I’m going to write a letter to the Chinese ambassador saying, if you don’t shut those wet markets down, our trading relationship is going to change,” he replied. “The source of this virus is the Chinese wet markets. But when you look — have doctors who come on and ask them, how many diseases have come from China through these wet markets where you intermingle all kinds of exotic animals, it’s just really a gross display of how you prepare food, that needs to stop. What can China do to help the world? Shut those markets down.”

It wasn’t the wet markets that infected the world its the cruise ships, sneaking ships on shore, letting infected passengers loose. This attack on the world goes beyond China. People are dying around the world because big pharma are not using the medical combination recommended by President Trump. Science has taken the world hostage with a virus. 12 monkeys programmed us to focus on the planes, but virus spread is minimal, on ships time, moisture, arrogant passengers, inadequate hygiene methods on the ship. Cmon wake up world, be like Dustin Hoffman in Outbreak, where is the sense of urgency, the Democrats, the media and science wanted this.

He’s just looking for face time. He needs to butt out of that and stop trying to interfere with what Trump is doing by stirring up more controversy. You have to wonder if he is trying to worsen relations with China and the U.S.? He also has no authority to say that on behalf of Trump.

What Senator Graham needs to investigate is why his state keeps re-electing him. This has become his standard MO. Make news with a statement about the latest hot button issue ie; FISA courts, phony dossier, rogue FBI agents, and today, China’s wet markets.
Of course, he never follows through because he always calculates (correctly) that it won’t impact his re-election chances. If this behavior looks familiar, its because that’s what Obama did for 8 years. He only supported things he had calculated would improve his re-election odds.

When Board Rooms start seeing Chinese Made Junk languishing in warehouses then the Buyers will be instructed to look elsewhere and to develop sources of supply other than China.
The Chi-Coms have been dealing in shoddy and substandard goods for decades, while simultaneously being the source of too many of the viral infections that have vexed the world for the last 50 years.
If there is no reason to travel to China on business then the amount of travel will fall, at the same time reducing the likelihood of some new infectious horror being brought out of the country.
China can keep their wet markets ~and~ their Crapola.
