New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot mocked the fears of coronavirus and told New Yorkers to attend the annual Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown back in February.
That was back on February 9, when the coronavirus was already ravaging Hubei Province in China.

Italian authorities have seized a shipment of 1,840 manual respirators and other supplies in the port of Ancona that was heading for Greece in order to help fight the ongoing Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.
The seizures were carried out by the Guardia di Finanza (GdF), a police division under the authority of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, under a prohibition for companies to sell medical devices overseas during the coronavirus crisis.

Baloney. Chances are good that people have been carrying this virus for many months before there was even a name for it. We can’t just shut down our economy for 6 months or longer. A better course of action would be to isolate those most at risk.
