Nazi flag at Sanders rally sparks outcry, concerns about safety

Moments after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) took the stage at his campaign rally in Phoenix Thursday night …….
Story continues below advertisement[….] one man standing behind the senator in an upper section of the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum wasn’t waving a “Bernie” sign like many of those around him.
Instead, the man was holding a red flag above his head — and it was emblazoned with a swastika.
“It was absolutely wild,” Brianna Westbrook, a national surrogate for the Sanders campaign, told The Washington Post. “I never thought I would have seen a swastika at a political event. It’s gross.”
While people near the unidentified protester quickly ripped the offending item out of his hands and he was removed from the arena, the mere appearance of a Nazi flag at an event dedicated to a democratic socialist who could become the country’s first Jewish president sparked outcry. The moment, captured in videos and photos that circulated on social media Thursday night, was denounced as an act of anti-Semitism and prompted increased concerns about Sanders’s safety on the campaign trail.
“We can argue about which candidate should get the Dem nomination, but anti-Semitic acts have no place in this world,” tweeted Steven Slugocki, chairman of the Maricopa County Democratic Party. “This is absolutely abhorrent.”
Sanders’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment late Thursday. A spokesperson for the senator told BuzzFeed News reporter Ruby Cramer that Sanders “is aware of the flag with the swastika on it and is disturbed by it.”

Just because a wicked Nazi unfurls a flag, that doesn’t wash clean Bernie’s wickedness. Bernie works against America, Jewish people and Israel too, under the Orwellian guise of ‘protecting’ ‘loving’ and ‘caring about’ all of us.

yes the nazi regime was capitalist at first sight.
but the companies selected to build projects for the regime had to pay the full social benefits to the german people

That the Nazis as well as their founder considered themselves socialists fool. Minimally they espoused socialist viewpoints as well and the Volkswagen halfwit was Hitler’s contribution to the people thus the name “Peoples car”.

Nazi or National Socialism used to be a contraction of N.S.D.A.P. or the National sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiters Partei ; now, the Democrats are the new Nazi party and it is still a contraction of N.S.D.A.P. only N.S.D.A.P. now stands for National Socialist Democratic arschloch party .

I think the Dem0rats are a lot less influenced by nazis and a lot more influenced by their older ideological brothers in fascism and Jew hatred. No one is donating deutzchemarks to the Dem0nrat party but I’ll bet many riyals from various muslum petrocracies are finding their way into Dem0nrat coffers.

No, the Nazis were not a ‘socialist movement’ People make this error often because of the name. They only included the word socialist in their name to try and get the working class on side. The working class in 1930s Germany were more inclined to communism. The communists were a serious contender to the Nazis,
as were the Social Democrats. As soon as Hitler became Chancellor he banned both the latter and any other parties. There were to be no more elections while the Nazis held power. Stalin forbade the German communists from aligning with the SDs, which might have thwarted the election of the Nazis who only got a small majority in several elections. The Nazis also closed down the previous Trade Unions and replaced them with a government run ‘union’. You may have noticed the ranks of workers shouldering spades in lieu of rifles in the newsreels of the time. The workers of Germany actually became worse off during the Nazi era, also the later foreign workers had miserable conditions. Plus the big industrialists (like Krupps) who supported Hitler’s bid for power had a free hand.

Bernie calls himself a socialist Democrat while the formal name of the Nazis was National Socialist Democrat German Workers Party.
The only bills Bernie ever authored and put through Congress was the naming of two post offices in his home state.
