The highest tax state in the union. Another enormous Democrat failure. Cuomo spends our tax-dollars like a drunk sailor. He banned fracking, oil drilling, natural gas and fuel oil. And New York is a sanctuary state. Who underwrites all these illegal immigrants? We do.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo revealed the coronavirus outbreak has left his state “basically bankrupt.”
Cuomo made his remarks in a Thursday radio interview on WAMC.
“I represent New York,” he said. (President Donald Trump) wants to make sure he’s responsive to New York. He knows that it’s his responsibility. And in this situation if he delivers for New York. I’ll say it. If he doesn’t, I’ll say it.
“By the way, it’s just not him. That’s with the Congress with that $2 trillion (stimulus) bill (the Senate) passed, disregarding that New York state is basically bankrupt.
“And when a state is bankrupt either I have to raise taxes or slash education funding. And you’re going to see education cut all across this state.”
Cuomo noted he is days away from the April 1 budget deadline.
“The funding they (senators) provided for the state was only for COVID-19-related expenses,” he said. “You know I have no income… Where would you think I’m going to fund education, which is one of the largest parts of the budget.”
The Times-Union newspaper in Albany, New York, said the state is facing billions of dollars in revenue shortfall ahead of the budget deadline. It noted Cuomo is pushing for a reduced spending package that he would be able to adjust throughout the year.

I take exception to the statement “Cuomo spends our tax-dollars like a drunk sailor.” As a retired sailor, I stopped spending when the money ran out.
The bigger part of this issue is that if a couple of weeks is enough for New York to become financially devastated there are obviously bigger problems requiring attention than any amount of federal monies can solve.

As a retired seamen I also quit spending when the money ran out. It is not funny that all the major cities run by DemonRats across this great land is broke or on the verge of being broke. The states that are run by DemonRats are not far behind. VA whcih always operated with a surplus. They DemonRats inside of 100 days had dman near wrecked the state.

It’s the same story in every western country, when a socialist is elected by the backpackers, gimmigrants and special interest groups,financial discipline goes out the window because “the rich” can always be squeezed a bit more until only the rats are left.
New York, London, Paris, it’s the same everywhere and the target is a big one. What is the borrowing looking like, how old are the debts remaining, what does the interest bill cost those progressive budgets they defend so strongly, what do the crime figures look like, just think Sweden and enlarge.
Any competent politician or feature writer could do a half decent job on calling those responsible to account, reputations are still made that way.

NJ is a densely populated state so it will rise. You pay a premium to not live like packed in sardines. Our proud, corrupt Governor Murphy has shown his compassion again and released more criminals from our prisons for fear they may get the virus in prison and of course closed gun shops down because they aren’t deemed to be an essential business. Eye roll.
For added excitement we are watching our sleepy little township be surrounded by the virus. As of 2010 we only had 14,000 living here. Local gov. officials are more conservative so they are always fighting off the liberals to keep them out of our lives.
Our vile Governor won’t be content till we all get it. NJ is probably bankrupt too so our Governor will welcome it. How could a DEM resist getting a federal bailout and have more money to mismange and spend?

Thanks felix, but I have to admit, as a conservative, I too would feel a bit apprehensive {like you} if I lived in NJ. A few years ago we had a young client who had a young wife from NJ. She was as hard left as they come, I remember mentioning this site and they were gone with their boat in less than two months.
You would like my part of Sussex, conservative local and county authorities, well run balanced budgets, very very few gimmigrants, clean and except for the travelling criminal community, law abiding and very tidy. We also have the South Downs National Park, some 90 miles east to west Winchester to Eastbourne with some of the finest scenery in the south of England.
As an aside, the boss asked me to sound you out on your opinions on Me-gain Sparkles and ginger knob.
We hope he’s stripped of his title as Duke Of Sussex, the pair of them have spent six hours here in total one day last year which is less time than it took her to flee back to Canada last year. We call her now the Duchess of Disney, we expect the divorce to be announced within the next five years.

As for MeGain – she is pure Obama/Hillary trash. She doesn’t love Harry. She is pushing his buttons about his mom and hustling him along. This is her third marriage. She won’t last long with him. He is not her type. She is a narcissistic sociopath. I think you are right. A divorce will happen in the next five years or sooner.
We don’t view her as attractive. Close ups of her aren’t flattering. No one here had ever heard of her till the UK media hyped her up. She was living in Canada when she did her soap opera, Suits, which was not popular here. She is not a Pedowood star or anything like that. She is a nobody till she married Harry.
She recently requested diplomatic status thinking we would pay for her security. That is how Trump became aware of it. Thankfully Trump she received a vintage Trump tweet stating … NO. You have to pay up .
MeGain hates Trump and made the comment she wouldn’t come back till Trump was no longer President. She also referred to Trump as being misogynist and of course a racist.
She is a flaming hypocritical, greedy liberal that can never get enough of someone’s else’s money and a manipulative control freak. How she has the audacity to shop for multi million dollar homes and then demand OTHERS pay for her multi million dollar security is beyond galling.
It sounds like when Canada refused to pay for her security after the step down date, the squaters felt compelled to leave Canada for her ultimate destination, the U.S.. In her mind this was the end game and all planned out in her mind. The global virus must annoy her because she isn’t the center of attenton and she may loose momentuem and value as time goes by.
Her goal all long was to get back to the U.S. and profit off her title and live well off besotted Harry’s money till she could become established and then dump him. Even her wedding catered to wealthy liberals. She dumped her father and family to move up. Yet you are supposed to believe she is a sensitve caring person. LOL! Look how she treats her own family.
Yes, she is such a “strong, empowered. woman” she had to marry another white guy no less for his money etc.. LOL. I remember reading her comments after she went to visit a university. She was dismayed at seeing so many “pale, stale, white males” and very little if any “diversity”. That and other actions tells me where she is really coming from.
She seems to want to set up a “charity” or a foundation here. It can be a racket. The Clinton’s lived well doing that. They peddled influence for money. MeGain has surrounded by Obama and Hillary people for her PR and legal advice while in th UK. She wants to make money off being a royal and their titles. By law here, when you set up a foundation you can fleece others for as much as you like and your only obligated to disperse a small amount for the actual cause to remain a foundation.
Abusers like to draw huge salaries from it while pretending to be humanitarians. This came to light when Hillary was being exposed. They totally abused what a foundation should be doing. Of course nothing happens to her….Our DOJ, FBI etc. and now it appears our A.G. are corrupt, so it is more and more doubtful justice will ever be served there.
I am guessing that eventually Harry will see through her. That will be a sad day for him. She has been hustling him and keeps him moving along. She doesn’t love him. Her looks of adoration to him are so fake, you just have to laugh. Her acting is terrible. I would imagine when that day comes, the royal family will take him back. I feel sorry for the Queen having to deal with this. MeGain is exactly what she wouldn’t want Harry married to and she bent over backwards to be nice to her.
That “anchor” baby of hers has us wondering. I understand being protective but she literally hides him. MeGain is half black and that baby is very white…you have to wonder… She is a sneaky person too.
So that’s our view of her. Feel free to take her back. We don’t want her. She is an embarrassment.

Well said indeed felix, both of us hung on your every word because you guys have known of her longer.
I do remember voicing my doubts as to her character and intentions three years ago, but perhaps I understated the extent of her calculated deception. The whole royal household have been played for the fools they are by her, desperate as they were to appear woke and non waycist.
I have a hunch his dad big ears will tire of funding their personal vanity before too long, he’s eleven days younger than me so I know how he ticks. I believe the slow mist seeping under their doors and clinging to their clothes called “losers” will become more visible soon because as time passes and little is given, their desperation will start to show clearly, they’ll be begging at any door stupid enough to let them in. Her job for Disney is being panned already as “cheesy”.
They’ll be cut dead by the society they’ve so earnestly courted. The “firm” has already circled their wagons and is even now raising the drawbridge, they mean to protect their own brand.

We don’t know her here. We never saw any movies with her in it or watched her Suits show.
I was just curious about her and read the news about her. She is a vile woman. When Joan Collins, was asked about her, she laughed when asked what she thought of MeGain’s acting ability and said she could play the part of a “villian”. Joan Collins is an older actress and seems to have the pulse on goings on in Pedowood.
I guess I’d like to see some justice for a change, even if it is with these two. I am weary of seeing people getting away with things and destroying the lives of others.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has said that President Donald Trump’s proposed quarantine of New York to limit the spread of coronavirus would be tantamount to a ‘federal declaration of war.’ ‘If you start walling off areas all across the country it would just be totally bizarre, counter productive, anti-American, anti-social,’ said Cuomo in an interview with CNN on Saturday.
Governor Andrew Cuomo is using the national guard to create a containment zone of New Rochelle in NY and all is good. President Trump contemplated using the national guard to create a containment zone for New York city, and it’s a declaration of war… NYC is surging with it.
DEM Rhode Island Governor doesn’t want potentially infected fleeing NYers either! Neither does Florida! Does Cuomo understand fleeing people often contain the virus?
Another question comes to mind. Gov. Andrew’s brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, is busily trashing Trump on CNN. Could this trashing of Trump have something to do with possibly replacing Biden for Andrew Cuomo through a brokered DNC convention?
The father of current NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo and current CNN anchor Chris is the former corrupt Governor, Mario Cuomo! Mario ran for President a few times too and was easily defeated. Think about it. What a way to expand the corrupt Cuomo dynasty! It reminds me of the failed Bush dynasty being pushed on us! The Bush’s were Obama and Clinton supporters too and so are the Cuomos! Stop giving away money for every crank cause. The first spending cut should be for illegals. No longer supply them with free education, school meals, help with their university education, medical, and whatever else they receive at the purse of US citizens. Now that is a big chunk of money saved and put back into the system. It would also reduce illegals running to NY state.
Cut money to education? Try this; first cut off funding for illegals in the school system. Stop social justice politically correct project spending. Allow for fracking and stop the dream of no oil based heating and transportation.
How about ordering De Blasio to stop using NYC helicopters for travelling to and from NYC daily. Those suckers cost a lot to run. That would save a lot of money for NYC. Maybe De Blasio will have to reduce his time at work from 8 hours a week (month?) to zero. That may be a good thing.
Reduce the illegals cost to the system. Let ICE have them for deportation. True, that may reduce the state’s population (and illegal voting for Democrats) but then you will have more available funding for NY. Who knows, balance the books! And the deportation costs are federal funds, so NY and NYC don’t have to pay incarceration costs.
There are lots of ways to cut costs, including the governor and state government taking a substantial pay cut.
Oh yes, higher taxes equals lower spending by citizens, ergo less state sales tax income for the state. Wherever there are personal tax reductions the economy seems to improve. Maybe try that instead of socialism’s tax, tax, tax.
But what do I know.

Socialism and communism simply do not work. Look at what the governor has been doing. Cutting off most of the income coming from oil to make a point. Taking in criminals that require a massive police presence, taking in too many immigrants which socialism calls for and thus over crowding the school system which results in huge cost over runs. And on and on and on …….

Illinois is even closer to bankruptcy than California, which is barely ahead of New York in the race to the Bankruptcy Courts, something I have written about elsewhere.
We’re very soon going to be faced with these same political jurisdictions being forced into Bankruptcy, all because of their spendthrift ways over several decades. The Federal Government will have little choice but to backstop most of the debt involved, but it needs to have strings the size of mooring ropes attached.

They will soon be running to the federal government for a bailout, something I am opposed to but if it happens it needs to be under the following terms:
First, the entire state budget and all state funds need to be placed under a Federally Appointed CZAR, equivalent to the court appointed receiver in a bankruptcy proceeding, who has plenipotentiary powers regarding all financial matters.

Second, during the period when the state is under the management of the Czar it shall be recognized by the Federal Government as a Territorial Possession of The United States for all matters dealing with the Federal Government but shall still be accorded the identifying title of “State of [fill in the blank]”. This means that the state looses all voting representation in The Congress and all Electoral Votes until it is restored to full responsibility for its own financial affairs, just like every other Territory. it may also loose access to certain federal programs that are intended for the various states but not for territorial possessions.

Third, all arrearages to any Pension Fund or any other fund that the state is a contributor to shall be brought current and maintained in that state for a period of one year and a day before financial control shall be restored to the state.
–
Fourth, the state must demonstrate ~full compliance~ with ~all~ Federal Statutes, Rules, Regulations, and Orders for a year and a day minimum.
–
Fifth, the state shall be bound to all of the above terms until the Czar certifies in writing that the state has fulfilled all requirements, that its financial affairs are in order, and the Czar has concluded all oversight.
–
The above requirements are not subject to modification or stay by any Inferior Court but may only be modified by a 3/5ths majority of the Justices of The Supreme Court of The United States of America

Any breach of the above shall result in the State of [fill in the blank] being reduced to the status of a Territorial Possession and the Duly Appointed/Elected Territorial Government must make reapplication for Statehood under the then existing terms and conditions, as specified by The Congress of The United States of America and The Executive Branch.

Cuomo is doing exactly what other Progressive Governors and state officials have been doing for several years.They are using larger scale version of the old Cloward-Piven Strategy to paradoxically, make state systems fail /state economies fail and thereby make the US economy fail. The new angle of this is that they are using the taxpayers money, directly against the interests of those same taxpayers. This is only a paradox because they don’t appear to think that the taxpayers will be able to figure out that their own state officials are the guilty parties. They want to do this to advance Socialism, while they bring the country down but at the end they want to blame Trump…It just does not compute and I can’t believe that the American people are held in such low esteem by these anti-American jerks.

People with any money left are leaving the state. Less people less tax money.
Demonrats like to tax, tax, tax “the rich” (aka. people who work hard and save) and then spend, spend, spend on nonsense like Cuomo did wasting hundreds of millions on “solar panels” instead of doing what government is supposed to do like helping its citizens, when he could have spent that same money on crisis medical equipment that he refused to buy back in 2017.
Who wants to live under corruption like that except simpletons who keep voting for the Demonrat “death dealers”.
