President Trump declines to shake hands with Nancy Pelosi at State of the Union address

Nancy Pelosi extended her hand and Donald Trump refused to shake it.
Even before Trump uttered the first word of his State of the Union speech, there was clear tension between the president and the House Speaker who has been leading his impeachment.
A year after Pelosi clapped back at the president in a moment that went viral, Trump barely acknowledged her even though she introduced him at the State of the Union and stood behind him during the speech. He turned his back as she reached her hand out to greet him.
The awkward exchange between Pelosi and Trump at the start of the speech was the first time they’ve met since she stood up and walked out of an Oct. 16 meeting on Syria in the White House.

Shortly after the moment, the Republican side of the House chamber erupted with chants of “Four more years!”
Pelosi was clad in a white pantsuit again this year, as were a number of female lawmakers who sat in the gallery.

nope! Hilary gets that one. Pure evil incarnate,Maxine, Tlaib and the rest of the muslim cohort (Including our hopefully temporary Somali guest) are second, Nancy would be lucky to get a third place award. If she wasn’t speaker no one would even notice her. Fauxahontas gets a fourth. Did I miss any? Schiff looks a bit sus so I will give him a 5th.

Los Angeles and Oakland are done — they’re overrun by street gangs. I know of two people who have been robbed at gunpoint on freeway on-ramps. In both cases the perps blocked the on-ramp w/their cars then proceeded to rob these people when they stopped on the on-ramp to investigate.
I personally know five people who have been robbed at gunpoint in Los Angeles. Unfortunately one of them had almost no money (he was coming home w/his groceries), he explained this to his muggers and was shot twice. In none of these cases were the perps ever caught.

Except for the victim in Oakland, CA and one of the cases in Los Angeles all the perps involved in these crimes were hispanic/latino.
I also forgot to mention my friend’s senior citizen mother who was robbed at gunpoint coming home from the grocery store in Los Angeles, refused to give the perp her money and he left her alone!

I was running around to some outfitting stores, today. I filled out four NICS form number 4473s. I always chuckle when I’m asked if I am “white Hispanic” “nonwhite Hispanic” or NOT a Hispanic. I just wish that I could be permanently placed as a nonspic.

I don’t know if they identified as white hispanics or nonwhite hispanics but I know one Marine guy who identified as human, even though he was of Mexican ancestry. He knew the evil of islum way ahead of me, even back before 9-11-2000. I suspect he may have served in Desert Storm.

This, perhaps, goes back to a much earlier time. But, “proper breeding” (the actual teaching of manners by one’s parents) used to state …. In order for a man to shake a woman’s hand, the woman had to be the one to extend her hand. It was considered a gross violation of manners and decorum, for a man to extend his hand first. When dealing man to man, either party could be the first to extend the hand of friendship. If a man was the first to extend his hand to a lady, he was NO gentleman and exhibited “poor breeding”.

Stand when a women enters the room. Stay standing until she finds a seat and sits down. And the list goes on. That was beaten into me at a very early age. The old, “Young man, you SHALL show your mother the proper respect.” … Of course those words came from the father. The mother’s words, “Wait until I tell your father about this”.
It’s no wonder that I built a hiding place in the hay mow.

Hats, by all means, are to be removed when entering a building. Barns, and the like, do not count. I can recall being taught how to either remove my hat, or tip it in some particular fashion, when I was being introduced to an adult woman.
All of that folderol was quite structured.
I rarely wear a hat, however, to this day when I am wearing one, it’s always removed prior to entering a store or someone’s house.

It’s everybody. Around twenty-five years ago, I visited my brother. On Sunday, I attended services at his church. The congregation was mostly “younger” (remember, this was around 25 years ago … I wasn’t an old fart .. but they were “young”, to me … mostly grad students and the like). It was summer and, I kid you not, men wore shorts and polo-like shirts. And, the obligatory billed cap. Many kept their hat on, even during services. Quite the example of poor breeding.

That, I do not know. Around ten years ago, I met the son of an acquaintance. His son, at that time, was an army captain (two bars). He had visible tattoos that showed when wearing a short sleeve shirt. There was a time when NO officer would have EVER had a visible tattoo. Things just ain’t the same. As time moves on … “culture” moves with it.

I do know that a woman can refuse to shake a man’s hand, but a man cannot in good society refuse a woman’s hand, except in matters of status and class, ie, royalty and people with high political or religious status. They should offer their hands first.

Just as a man has to remove his hat, upon (actually prior) to entering a building (store, someone’s house, etc.), shaking the hand, of a woman, requires her to be the first to extend her hand. The biggest thing was to NEVER interrupt someone. I received more corporal punishment for that, than all of the other manner faux pas combined. It was, “Interrupting someone is the height of rudeness. It shows poor breeding as nothing else does. And, that poor breeding reflects, directly, upon your parents.” So, to this very day, even in the most heated disagreements, with my wife, I clench my jaws until she has totally run out of air, giving me the opportunity to respond. On the other hand, no one ever taught her that interruption is considered poor breeding.

Oh dear! Family conversation between the women in our family was almost as full of interruption as it was words. LOL! A tradition that continues with my friends. I do admit to not indulging too much in that with male friends and family. They seem to take offense. 😉

Well that for sure, but also less formal interactions are not so strict. Now in more formal settings the women in my family were exemplary, but get us together around a kitchen table and forget about it. Children, however, were never allowed to interrupt.

If I had a dollar for every time I stood at my mother’s side waiting, and waiting, and waiting while she talked with her friends or other family members to ask for something, anything, until I was acknowledged, or asked what I wanted…yup, interruption of my mother was absolutely verboten as a child. And yes, I was permitted to be seen, but not heard and I knew that because I was told it over and over. Are you sure we’re not related? 😉

The headline is a LIE and fake news. Trump didn’t decline to shake hands with the worthless scum-sucking scag Pelosi. He may have noticed her hand at the last second but might not have seen her hand at all. Trump is the kind of person who would shake your hand while looking you in the eyes saying “You’re fired”.
