Roger Stone was sentenced to 40 months on Thursday in federal court in Washington for his conviction on witness intimidation and lying to Congress about the Russian collusion investigation.

The 67-year-old longtime political ally of President Trump entered court Thursday wearing sunglasses and was heckled as a “traitor” by protesters.
Stone was convicted last November by a jury of nine women and three men on seven counts of lying to Congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
The charges came out of then-special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election.
Four prosecutors withdrew from the case last week after the Department of Justice overruled their recommendation that Stone, a self-described “dirty trickster,” be sentenced to up to nine years in prison after the president tweeted that his prosecution was a “miscarriage of justice.”

The Justice Department, led by Attorney General William Barr, issued a new memo to US District Judge Amy Berman Jackson seeking a more lenient penalty.
Berman decided to proceed with Stone’s scheduled sentencing on Thursday, despite the developments and after Stone’s legal team sought a new trial when a juror’s biased comments surfaced earlier this month.
There was rampant speculation that Trump would pardon Stone.
On Tuesday, Trump granted pardons or commuted the sentences of 11 people, including former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik, financier Michael Milken and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

This is NOT over. Stone has grounds for a re-trial, after info came out about a ‘get Trump’ juror. Berman does not have to grant a re-trial, but some other judge will. And while this goes though several more procedures, let’s see Clapper go down for lying to Congress.
Better yet, I think he will pardon him perhaps if possible before his second term. I think that will depend on what Stone does next.

Activist liberal Judge Berman Jackson appointed by Obama, is a disgrace. These charges are BOGUS and the whole thing should have been dismissed. There was no lying or witness tampering. The “witness” came forward and clarified there was no “tampering”. The whole thing is ridiculous.
The jury foreman, Tomeka Hart, who my understanding is also a lawyer, LIED about her extreme bias towards Trump and his Trump supporters. Hart’s hate for Trump and anyone associated with him is all over her social media. I doubt that an Obama appointed judge loves Trump either. She may still have a gag order on Stone. He should have been given a new trial or he may appeal. Either way, I am confident Trump will pardon Stone after the legal stuff is over.
On either Tucker or Hannity last night, it was reported that Tomeeeka Hart was spotted outside the courthouse prior to the hearing. When she was spotted, she ran from the scene. Guess she wanted to witness her handiwork and see Stone sentenced in person…..
And remember when Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts scolded President Trump… “There are no Obama Judges”? Well, this sorry excuse for a “judge” proves once again that President Trump’s instincts ARE right. Most normal Americans now understand that Obama appointed judges are the most radical… most unfair… most unlawful… most unconstitutional… most partisan… you can get in a “judge”. These radical leftist judges (overwhelmingly Democrat) are ALL out to harm our country, zealously (if not gleefully) punish normal conservative citizens and reward (or not punish at all) Demonrat leaning criminals.

The end result will be when Trump pardons him after the political prejudice of Judge Jackson is exposed, she gets impeached, Stone’s guilty verdict is nullified, and a presidential pardon if all else fails.

Stone has handed Trump an election campaign issue that exposes the bias and corruption of the Commiecrats and their activist judges who wage “law war” on the American people. Everyone knows one is entitled to an UNBIASED jury of one peers, everyone knows that we all are equal before the law. We all know that any conviction corrupted by a biased juror must be thrown out. Don’ t doubt Trump will make this an issue, and its a big issue that even the most deadhead LibTard can understand.

“Stone was convicted last November by a jury of nine women and three men…”
If this were a Black man being convicted of anything we would be told the racial make up of the jurors. I would be interested to know not only the racial make up but the party affiliation of these jurors.

The witness said he never felt intimidated at all. Trump needs to quickly pardon him. McCabe got off scot free and he is one of the ones that needs to go to prison.

I just read a DOJ letter released 2/20/2020(looks official, press release 20-211) stating that a DIA employee gave classified/top secret info to journalists(2018-19) putting the country at risk. He pleaded guilty. The sentence for this, stated in the letter, is a MAXIMUM of 10 yrs, which usually is less. Sentencing is June 18.
Something is wrong here!
