Nadler Cancels Judiciary Hearing On FISA Reform, Avoids Bipartisan Amendments

27

The party of coup and corruption  illegally falsely obtained warrants to spy on a Presidential candidate in order to steal the White House. That has been established. It was inconceivable in America – one thinks of Stalinist Russia, Hitler’s Germany, Mao and other totalitarian regimes. And still, no one has been prosecuted.

Worse, House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler is the fox guarding the hen-house.

Nadler Cancels Judiciary Hearing On FISA Reform, Avoids Bipartisan Amendments

Democratic Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler of New York canceled Wednesday’s hearing on reforming the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) as Democrats remain divided on the legislation.

According to Politico, Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California was set to introduce five amendments to the bill being shepherded through the committee. Some House Democrats viewed the amendments as “poison polls” that would sink the legislation hammered out by Nadler and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, also from California.

The legislation was expected to pass the Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, opening the door for a full-chamber vote to renew the program before its expiration date on March 15. Democrats, however, now face an inter-party feud over details of the bill that will likely push back the vote.

One senior Democratic aide told Politico the current bill was the product of talks between Nadler and Schiff and their committees.

“The committee and Chairman Nadler have been working very carefully in intense negotiation for months with all the interest groups and had worked out a very carefully negotiated reform bill of FISA,” the aid told the paper.

Lofgren pushed back on the idea that her amendments aiming to more broadly restrain the government’s surveillance powers would derail the proposal currently on the table.

“I reject that categorization of what we’re doing here,” Lofgren told Politico. “We’re making policy. This isn’t some game where side deals that are done in secret without the concurrence of the committee of jurisdiction is somehow binding on the numbers of the committee.”

Three major provisions of the FISA law are set to expire without authorization on March 15, which would interrupt surveillance operations conducted by the FBI and the National Security Agency (NSA). A recent earthshattering report from the Justice Department inspector general has presented roadblocks for lawmakers seeking to renew the programs.

In December, the DOJ inspector general determined that the FBI made 17 glaring omissions from FISA warrant applications seeking permission to secretly spy on the Trump campaign through its deep-state “Crossfire Hurricane” operation. Supposed public servants abused their power to charge President Donald Trump and members of his campaign of being traitorous Russian agents.

Republicans have pushed for changes of their own. Similar to Lofgren, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio has endorsed measures seeking to more broadly curtail government power. Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz told the Washington Times that the Wednesday hearing was canceled because Lofgren’s amendments would have passed with a bipartisan vote.

“The reason we are not having the hearing today is that there was a consensus among the pipe-swinging progressives and the libertarian Republicans to roll the establishment of both parties,” Gaetz said. “We would have had the votes today, which is why the markup is canceled.”

Rep. Greg Stuebe of Florida expressed the same sentiments to the Times.

“I think internally, the Democrats are having problems,” Stuebe told the D.C. paper.

Attorney General William Barr privately told Republicans, according to Politico, that the Trump administration would support reauthorizing FISA with some minor changes. The president has criticized U.S. intelligence agencies for weaponizing government spy powers against their political opponents.

Nice thought but doubtful. His district is brain dead.

Representative for New York’s 10th congressional district since 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party and is in his 15th term in Congress, having served since 1992.

They will vote him in again and again and again. He makes his district happy looking for ways to get Trump out.

He has a horde of socialists to vote for him blindly like the hordes in The Walking Dead.

I like this TV series because I can see socialists / marxists / communists crushed into pieces when they are destroying hordes.

it is not that often in the TV series but it is delightful

Nadless definitely makes a good case for term limits. I live in Nadler’s district and do not take your “brain dead” comment personally. You are exactly right. His district is loaded with aging Bolsheviks and younger libtards who have moved into the increasingly gentrified neighborhood. I might very well be the only Conservative. I don’t know as I keep to myself. LOL!

If only that were so, HB! But Felix1999 has it exactly right, unfortunately. After Hildabeest’s resounding defeat in 2016, Someone kept a banner on a fire escape proclaiming her as President for months. That gives you a rough idea of Jerry’s district!

I wish you were right. After the 2016 election I came to the realization I had to end association with people, who oppose what I believe. I see far too many people, who call themselves Christian and conservative, who are in their 40s and 50s, but really are not. One such person a women nearly 50, loves to travel and has friends, who are Democrats, “She says “They have so much fun.” I’m told they don’t talk politics yet she knows how they vote. Her husband is what I call a “Rush drone.” He thinks listening to Rush and doing nothing about what he believes makes him a conservative. This is the same guy, who says he’s a Christian, but thinks Lucifer and Gabriel are the same person. He thinks working out at a gym makes him a tough guy, but never served in the military. He’s like so many that have lived on the work of others. He and his wife have never shown a moments patriotism for the country. Their faith is so deep they attend a church, Andy Stanley’s, that says “We don’t need the Old Testament any more.”

Frankly I’d like to see the FISA court go away. I understand the need for quiet investigations and warrants but there is too much abuse of this. Behind closed doors and secret meetings is how the Russia farce got legs and turned into one of the biggest farces in our history. Nadler would want that to go through unchanged for more abuse. The corruption is very deep.

There is something else going on Unchanged FISA renewal in exchange for John Ratcliffe for the DNI (apex of corruptness in intelligence) where Rick Grenell is the acting DNI?

President Trump Nominates John Ratcliffe for Director of National Intelligence – Ramifications…
Posted on February 28, 2020 by sundance

On July 28, 2019, President Trump first nominated John Ratcliffe for the ODNI position to replace former DNI (Director of National Intelligence) Dan Coats. However, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence headed by Chairman Richard Burr and Vice-Chairman Mark Warner, informed the White House they would not support Ratcliffe. Burr and Warner would not have made such a bold statement to undercut the nomination without approval from Mitch McConnell.

Trump is now renominating John Ratcliffe. “Ric” Grenell is the acting DNI.

The epicenter of the deepest defensive mechanism of the Deep State is the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). The SSCI is the bunker, the intelligence manipulation operations headquarters. The SSCI is where the political nuclear weapons (black files and IC gathered political surveillance research) are housed. As a direct consequence the SSCI is the most corrupt and manipulative committee in all of congress. The SSCI also controls all nominations within the intelligence community (DNI, CIA, NSA, DOJ-NSD, etc).

As a result of Senator Burr and Senator Warner undermining Ratcliffe, on August 2, 2019, the Ratcliffe nomination was reluctantly withdrawn.

After the Ratcliffe nomination was withdrawn, President Trump was then dragged into the House impeachment effort. In hindsight it is clear the SSCI position of Burr and Warner was partly due to their desire to watch and see whether the impeachment effort would be successful. [August ’19 through February ’20 the impeachment effort was tried.]

Representative John Ratcliffe was/is a key member of the House who has investigated the details of the DOJ and FBI intelligence abuse during the 2016 election. Factually, Ratcliffe is one of only four high-clearance House members who had seen all of the unredacted and classified documents associated with the DOJ and FBI activity. [Ratcliffe, Gowdy, Goodlatte and Schiff]

In November of 2019 buried deep in the congressional budget Continuing Resolution (CR) was a short-term extension to reauthorize the FISA “business records provision”, the “roving wiretap” provision, the “lone wolf” provision, and the more controversial bulk metadata provisions [Call Detail Records (CDR)], all parts of the Patriot Act. As a result of the FISA CR inclusion the terminal deadline was pushed to March 15, 2020.

On December 9, 2019, the DOJ Inspector General report on FISA abuse was released to the public. Within the IG FISA report the prior statements of John Ratcliffe about the FISA abuse scandal were proven to be exactly correct. Additionally, the severity of the FISA abuse, including the intentional manipulation of evidence by the FBI, was far more serious and substantive than anyone thought.

While the FISA issues were being investigated congress punted the reauthorization of FISA to March 15. There is a current debate on whether those FISA authorities should be reauthorized.

Representatives requesting FISA reform prior to renewal include: Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, Doug Collins, Jody Rice, Devin Nunes and Steve Scalise. Additionally, Senator Mike Lee and Senator Rand Paul are trying to force reform or let the current version expire. However, Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell, along with AG Bill Barr, want a clean FISA renewal without public hearings….

Within the overall dynamic we can see where President Trump would gain leverage on Senate Leader Mitch McConnell over the FISA reauthorization issue. McConnell wants FISA reauthorized… President Trump wants John Ratcliffe as ODNI.

Should Trump cut a deal with McConnell: Support for FISA reauthorization in exchange for Ratcliffe as ODNI?

The position of DNI is critical within the intelligence community. Essentially the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is the boss of the CIA Director and NSA Director; and the ODNI handles the flow of classified intelligence; and, importantly, the declassification of information to provide public sunlight.

(Notice how Trump declassifies information and A.G. Barr NEVER releases the information.)

In the position of DNI John Ratcliffe would have the ability to reach out into any intelligence compartment, retrieve and then declassify any/all documents that might be used to show the gross abuses of power by prior intelligence officials. [Acting DNI Ric Grenell also has that current authority.] The information within reach is the risk SSCI Chairman Senator Burr and Vice-Chair Warner have attempted to control.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/02/28/president-trump-nominates-john-ratcliffe-for-director-of-national-intelligence-ramifications/#more-184996

Will it be short term FISA renewal without reform pushed by the swamp in exchange for Ratcliffe?

Democrats the party of collectivism.
Yeah.
But the republican capitalist collectivism not? Sorry I ain’t buying it.
Capitalism, democracy feign freedom but those who know how unhealthy & deceitful the collectivist media & food of capitalism is, know that the capitalist freedom is really a trojan horse.
Capitalism must be transformed into support for self-realization in a system in which healthy, automated ecological best quality cultivation is globally ensured.
Democracy & capitalism are not the solution so I aint gon vote for it.
Democracy empowers unethical people & so does capitalism.
Polish king Jan Sobieski had an inspiring policy, not to talk/deal with Muhammadists. As can be learned at Wikiislam.net the unjust Muhammadist dogma with the enslavement of Africans, declitorization & for example killing of people who drink or eat on daylight during the Ramadan, is unethical.
So it’s ethical not to support the unethical, unjust Muhammadist ideology because the unjust Muhammadist ideology is unethical.
Similarly collectivist ecological crimes & the collectivist unhealthy diet are also unethical & factors that should exclude the criminals from being appointed to work as government.
A reminder: democracy is a tool of power. Not supporting health is abuse of this power & therefore criminal.
Trump wants loyal people. Loyal to what. There can’t be loyalty when the values of Trump are criminal. I’m talking about Trump’s arming of Saudi Arabia where Africans are enslaved, not banning PFAS & fluoride in tap-water & more.

More than anything else, Nadler is afraid he might actually do something constructive for the benefit of the country. To his perverted way of thinking, hating Trump has become a neurotic passion. It is written,

“What comes out of a man is what defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and thet defile a man.” Mark 7:20-23
