Michael Bloomberg Confirms He Used Prison Labor To Make 2020 Campaign Calls

After a report revealed his campaign exploited prison laborers to make calls on his behalf, Bloomberg said he’s no longer working with the company that hired them.

By Ja’han Jones, Huffington Post, February 22, 2020:

Democratic presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been exploiting prison labor to make calls on behalf of his campaign, The Intercept reported on Wednesday.

The Bloomberg campaign contracted a call center company named ProCom through a third-party vendor to conduct the calls, according to the report. ProCom operates call centers in New Jersey and Oklahoma, and two of its Oklahoma centers operate out of prisons.

A source told The Intercept that some people incarcerated at the Dr. Eddie Warrior Correctional Center, a minimum-security women’s prison in Oklahoma that houses one of the call centers, have made calls for the Bloomberg 2020 campaign.

“The people were required to end their calls by disclosing that the calls were paid for by the Bloomberg campaign,” reporter John Washington wrote. “They did not disclose, however, that they were calling from behind bars.”

Bloomberg confirmed the report in a statement Tuesday but said he knew nothing about prison laborers being used to make calls on his behalf. He said he “immediately” ended the campaign’s relationship with ProCom and the vendor that acquired their services.

Bloomberg is among the pool of remaining candidates vying for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, but he has failed to gain much traction since announcing his candidacy in November.

The former mayor has not weighed in on a question that has been debated among the other Democratic candidates: whether he believes incarcerated individuals should be allowed to vote.

That’s what Xi in Communist China does! He even takes organs from prisoners as well as making them work for free, when possible, to help with product dumping.

What a disappointment… Clint Eastwood endorses this Blooming Idiot!
He doesn’t like “name calling”.

Gimme a break. In Clint’s movies and real life, he name calls and as for his personal life, I doubt there is a co starring woman that he was not physically involved with so skip any moral platitudes on that front …..What a disappointment!

Clint Eastwood Scolds Trump for ‘Tweeting and Calling People Names’
By JEROME HUDSON22 Feb 2020

Clint Eastwood backs Mike Bloomberg? The legendary actor-director and longtime Republican campaigner has applauded President Trump for “certain things” he’s done and told the Wall Street Journal that “the best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.”

“The politics has gotten so ornery,” the five-time Oscar-winner said in the wide ranging WSJ interview. Eastwood says he wished President Trump would act “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names. I would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.”

(He had backed Mitt Romeny – so much for his “genteel” demeanor. How can he be so easily impressed with a snake like Mitt? Is he that shallow and easily charmed? Remmber the empty chair routine mocking Obama?)

Look at Clint’s langauge and name calling:

In an interview with Extra in December 2015, Clint Eastwood said voters were “looking for somebody who is outspoken and who isn’t afraid” and said Donald Trump “seems to have kind of a fearless attitude.” After praising then-Republican frontrunner Ben Carson, Eastwood declared “anyone of them would be better than” Barack Obama.

Again lauding Trump’s willingness to say “what’s on his mind,” Eastwood told Esquire in August 2016 that we’re in a “kiss-ass generation … a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells.”

“He’s said a lot of dumb things. So have all of them. Both sides,” Eastwood continued of Trump. “But everybody —the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it. Just fucking get over it. It’s a sad time in history.”
