Mark Steyn to Mitt Romney: ‘Look in the mirror, you are the reason for Trump’

By Charles Creitz | Fox News

Author and columnist Mark Steyn told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday that the ironic fact lost in the firestorm surrounding Sen. Mitt Romney’s vote to convict President Trump of abuse of power this week is that Romney is the reason Trump is in the White House.

Steyn told host Tucker Carlson that Romney never “punched back” when attacked by the media or Democrats during his failed 2012 bid for the presidency.

When voters took note of that habit, they wanted a candidate who would do the exact opposite and not bow to the opposition when attacked. Those voters, Steyn said, gravitated toward Trump when he appeared on the scene.

Romney: “I am profoundly religious. My faith is at the heart of who I am,”

It’s a coup, stupid!

I’m agnostic, but “bearing false witness” is arguably the worst non-violent sin you can commit.

The Obama FBI framing people for collusion; false accusers calling a judge a rapist; framing a police officer as a racist. and journalists conducting fake news is also “bearing false witness” at the mass level.

We are living in the era of the false witness. If Romney as a person of faith doesn’t get that, then he doesn’t understand people of faith.

I think Donald Trump Jr should continue to call Sen Willard Mitt Romney out as there is evidence that Sen Willard Mitt Romney isn’t as straight laced of a godly man as he likes to appear! I believe there are Republican activists in both MI and MA who could comment in articles with links on why Sen Willard Mitt Romney had to keep moving without getting traction there until he bought himself a Senate seat in the Intermountain West of Utah leaving both previous residential State Parties worse off than they were before! In MA there were allegations of Romney Administration corruption and erased computers along with the debacle of RomneyCare where folks have to pay a fine without getting care that keeps the MA GOP as the minority Party forever there! In NH, I heard there were issues with the MA State police messing with the public access areas of a lake IN NH around then MA Gov Willard Mitt Romney’s vacation home when he entertained there that alienated a swing county’s voters who would never vote for him in NH after they were denied their public access whenever MA Gov Willard Mitt Romney was around!
At the end of the day, Pres. Donald Trump joins the ranks of those many Republicans who helped Willard Mitt Romney only to see that it was just a one way street all the time! Pres. Trump wasn’t so corrupt to Willard Mitt Romney then when WILLARD needed him! Being sanctimonious on Sen Willard Mitt Romney’s part doesn’t change the reality that he is plain untrustworthy with his own agenda that is all about him and not about any of them truly loyal rightwing Republicans! Forgot to do my caps but you all know it’s me, HOPEFULLY!

Romney didn’t influence my choice of DJT in any way. I simply saw that DJT was by far the best candidate running. I picked him out of the field of candidates early on (8/15) when he started publishing his policy positions…specifically on gun rights and the 2A, and each policy he put out cemented my loyalty to his candidacy more. I never looked back and never thought about Romney one way or another. I also know there are a lot of others like me out there, that chose DJT simply because we had faith he was an excellent candidate. He has been and continues to be several magnitudes better than I had hoped in my wildest dreams..

I really enjoy Mark Steyn’s wisdom and wit. He, like Rush, is always dead on.

ROMNEY IS A RINO, only worse. He actually lets everyone know with his actions that HE IS A LIBERAL.

We in the 2nd Amendment community pegged him as a gun-grabber right after the Winter Olympics. Also, he had to amend his Park City property tax when it turned out he wasn’t a Utah Resident at the time. Don’t call him a weasel; that would offend the real ones.

Mitt is from the Gracious Loser Sect of the old GOP. I blogged about that sect last year.

No More Gracious Losers, Please!
(Tom Cox, September, 2019)

People who honestly think they are conservatives, but find Trump icky (“#NeverTrumpers”), tell us they prefer their political leaders to be gracious, genteel LOSERS and not blunt, stubborn, sweaty, serious, self-confident WINNERS.

Gracious losers don’t have to explain to voters why they have forsaken their commitment to fight for the middle class,
because, well — they lose — and they can graciously retreat to their think tanks, lobbying firms, failing magazines, or comfortable retirements.

Gracious losers don’t have to apologize to skilled laborers and assembly line workers because they folded against
open-borders, cheap-labor advocates and anti-business environmentalists. They don’t have to cave to those interests because they lose. But graciously.

Middle-class people lose their jobs and homes, but gracious losers still have multiple homes, cushy jobs, trust funds for the kids, and very nice cars, so they’re good.

Stubborn winners know they will have to account for their failures, and that the explanation better be reasonable and verifiable, and it better include strong indications that other means of reaching the stated goal are being tested for deployment.

Winning, of course, is always preferable, because it doesn’t have to be explained. Just celebrated.

Gracious losers lose graciously. It’s the one thing they do well.

Winners WIN, and an ugly win is still a win — especially if winning makes life better for the people who work for a living.

Gracious losers go on a cruise, go back to their magazines, think tanks and lobbying outfits, or go hang out at their
seasonally-appropriate vacation homes.

Graciously, of course.

Winners move on to the next fight.

We prefer winners.

We prefer Donald Trump.

Romney heard Pelosi mentioning about “prayerful” and “solemn” while being interviewed on TV.

And the Idiot is clueless that it was a coup made from envy and revenge. Pelosi’s actually referring to her prayer to Satan.

The “establishment” stuck us here in Utah with “Count the Vote” that allowed mittens to buy his way into the Primary. Then, it was a sorry choice between him and the Democrat who could have tipped the Senate. After that, it was nose holding time.

Ya mean like his fellow Senator, Mike Lee, who wants unanimous support for his BS Bill 386 bringing 77 THOUSAND Indians into America to do the ‘software engineering’ that Americans just won’t do? Despite the fact that millions of highly-indebted STEM-eduacated AMERICANS could actually DO that software and other things better.
Just wondering who’s gonna get a sweetazz lobbying (for India) gig when he gets voted out of office ??

HOW TO GET STREET MORMONS TO RUN AWAY

Romney’s a Mormon isn’t he? Ok, why would a join a religion known to backstab friends, trash them on t.v., and remove them from office without a crime being committed? He’s the face of your religion, and I would never join your evil CULT for any reason, get lost!
