CNN contributor and former Clinton administration official Joe Lockhart compared remarks that Trump lawyer Alan Dershowitz made in defense of President Donald Trump on Wednesday to something that would be said by dictators Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.
CNN played a short clip of Dershowitz’s remarks from the Senate floor on Wednesday: “Every public official that I know believes that his election is in the public interest and mostly you’re right. Your election is in the public interest and if a president does something that he believes will help him get elected, in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment.”
Lockhart responded, “What I thought when I was watching it was: this is un-American. This is what you hear from Stalin. This is what you hear from Mussolini, what you hear from authoritarians, from Hitler, from all the authoritarian people who rationalized, in some cases genocide, based what was in the public interest.”
CNN’s host Erin Burnett did not push back at all on Lockhart’s remarks.
CNN contributor Scott Jennings later pushed back when it was his turn to talk, saying, “By the way Erin, if I may, I just have to respond to something that my friend Joe said and I’m not there to elbow him in the ribs.”

Injustice Roberts protects the DEMS. He will not allow questions that expose the origin of the House impeachment plot. Roberts should not be limiting the scope of questions in the Senate. That is responsibility of the Senate – not him. The Senate is supposed to be asking these questions – it is a TRAIL!
Senator Rand Paul’s question was:
“Are you aware that House intelligence committee staffer Shawn Misko had a close relationship with Eric Ciaramella while at the National Security Council together; and are you aware -and how do you respond to- reports that Ciaramella and Misko may have worked together to plot impeaching the President before there were formal house impeachment proceedings?“

This is ‘what you hear from people’ who have poisoned their minds view as a result of their being captivated by their Trump syndrome. It should be obvious that our President has the right to determine whether any type of corruption has occurred anywhere in this world and that it is related to inappropriate conduct that might impact our country in any manner, whether done by a foreign power or by an American citizen (whether a private person or a politician or other government official). The public (which includes the electorate) has every right to know if that has happened, whether or not the finding of those activities might benefit one politician over the other. The claims by the Democrats that investigating those issues that might have the affect of benefiting one politician (Trump) over the other (Biden or the Democrats) as their basis for seeking impeachment therefore is totally bogus, and why the senators, and I mean all of them from either party do not accept this last conclusion as dispositive of the impeachment nonsense disturbs me, as I am beginning to wonder what qualifications these elected officials have to justify their claim to office. Since the key to the “prosecution” is moot, the impeachment process is likewise moot, as their is no High Crime committed, and this country needs to go back to acting appropriately.

People already camping out to see President Trump….Bloomy running an ad where he says that he would hire President Trump to run a golf course, but not the country…..talk about being completely out of touch! Everyone admits that there has never been a President who has accomplished so much for our country……and when you see the people in Bloomy’s audience….25….maybe tops. And they were probably paid to be there.
I double dog dare Bloomy to rent out a stadium and try to get people to stand in line in the cold for days to get in to see him and hear him talk.
He’s blowing through millions….I’m picturing his kids sweating bullets that they won’t inherit what they thought they would…not that they don’t already have plenty.
