Trump reveals new US Space Force logo – here it is

By Military News, January 24, 2019:

President Donald Trump revealed the logo for the new U.S. Space Force military branch on Friday afternoon.

“After consultation with our Great Military Leaders, designers, and others, I am pleased to present the new logo for the United States Space Force, the Sixth Branch of our Magnificent Military!” he said in a tweet accompanying the logo.

Several Twitter users pointed out the resemblance to the United Federation of Planets logo used by the fictional Starfleet Command in the Star Trek universe.

“Trump just announced the new logo for the Space Force. The other is Star Trek Starfleet Command,” CNN’s Jim Acosta said in a tweet along with the two logos side by side.

“That literally looks like the United Federation of Planets logo with a Star Trek communicator badge on top of it,” one user remarked.

Another user pointed out that the logo is actually similar to the logo used by Air Force Space Command, the predecessor to Space Force, though that logo also displayed some similarities to the Starfleet logo.

The west is going to need such as both China and Russia have stated aims in space as well as India and “ahem” Iran/NK as we all know that the EU wont pull its weight there and eventually wont be able to as it will be trying to put down the rebellions of the politically ignored deplorables.

I was not a BIG Star Trek fan, but I did watch some of it. Now that I found out Picard is a liberal weeny putz, I am not sure how I feel. Trump has done some really great things, BUT he should try to be ORIGINAL. This logo is not original.

Well, to me there is no Star Trek past the first two seasons. When Roddenberry left the helm the show died, basically. As for the logo, whatever. At this point there is going to be similarity with something already out there.

They say TNG only got better when Rodenberry left — because while Rodenberry was controlling TNG it was nothing but thinly disguised, weak kneed, lieberal propaganda.

Roddenberry did have a bad liberal streak, but TNG was garbage from the get go and never ‘got better’. Even the original series got worse after the first two seasons because the producers stopped taking the advice of science fiction writers like Harlan Ellison and D. C. Fontana. The ideas were and still are out there, but the hack Hollywood producers and writers were the cause of Star Trek’s ‘crash’ not Roddenberry. He was at least smart enough to stay out of the way in the beginning. The spirit of Star Trek lives on mostly in television series such as Babylon 5, Star Gate, Dark Matter and Defiance. Among others.

The Borg only happened after Rodenberry left as well as the Lt. Worf/Klingon storyline.

Star Trek was already going stale by the third season of the original series.
Roddenberry did good getting the ball rolling in the beginning. Other than that I never was impressed with him or his politics.

Roddenberry was a WW2 veteran, a LAPD veteran and reportedly exploited (raped?) at least one woman member of the cast of TOS.

I haven’t watched the television series since William Shatner hasn’t been in it.
But I love the last two movies with Chris Pine.

LOL well I guess a person will always disagree about something. To me those are some really baaaaaaad movies, and I’m a rabid hater of Abrams partly because of them. I’ve noticed we frequently agree on poliitics but not this.
I actually walked out of the theater during the second one.

PS, it sounds like I hated everything Star Trek after the first two seasons of the original but not quite. The Wrath of Khan and it’s sequel The Search For Spock were very good.

Well, I worked in that industry for 5 years for a top director and a producer. Most of that stuff isn’t worth the flash drives it is on…..but I really like the new Spock, Captain Kirk, and Bones….maybe I’m just easier to please. LOL….

I just can’t get over how advanced the graphic and CGI is today.
When I had an option on Dr. Robert L. Forward’s series of books “ROCHWORLD”…I couldn’t get the studios interested in them because the CGI technology wasn’t that advanced. A big pity because these were awesome books. Dr. Forward worked for NASA and invented quite a few amazing things for them.

A pity of tragic proportions. The body of sci fi is huge, but mostly the bottom line keeps the environment for new sci fi stagnant. Not many want to throw the dice on a new franchise. The last try was Mortal Engines and unfortunately Peter Jackson and company were not on the ball. Or maybe steam punk just isn’t going to translate well to the big screen.
But I forgot to mention one that is current and, imo, one of the best science fiction shows to come along in a long, long time. Have you seen the Expanse? If not and you are a Star Trek lover, which you do seem to be, you might love this one too. It has a good story line combined with amazing special effects.
It’s current home is Amazon Prime.

Thanks, I’ll give it a look when I have some spare time.
I just spent an hour of my Sunday afternoon writing a letter to President Trump about:
“DHS Approves $100k Grant of Taxpayers’ Money to Terror-Tied CAIR”….( with copy to Chad Wolf at the DHS: …and:

“MORE THAN 100,000 DACA APPLICANTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED—MURDER, RAPE, DUI
By Judicial Watch, November 19, 2019:”

Now I have to take care of my pets and cook supper.

President Trump is one of the most consequential Presidents we have had in decades. The more he does that is GOOD, the more he is HATED. I admire how he doesn’t let the impeachment circus change his agenda in getting things done with little or no help from the REPUBLICANS too. He continues to go about business and causes that benefit rational, patriotic Americans and doing his best to keep his promises.. This must enrage the LEFT even more.

The logo is BEAUTIFUL….looking at it I keep hearing Star Trek music in my ears.

If the Dimms win in the next election….you can bet this will be cancelled….they want the enemy to take down our satellites….easier to keep us in the dark about evil forces surrounding us and inside Ameri

Were they to win the election, there will be WAR. Talking about sci fi and baby Space Force will be on a likely permanent hiatus until humans get their heads out of their collective arses.
Like in the Star Trek universe.
That said, I sort of like it too. I challenge anyone to come up with as good looking a logo without having it remind SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE of SOMETHING .
