Twenty-three nations embrace Trump peace plan, 7 in Middle East

Nearly two dozen world leaders have signaled their openness to President Trump’s sweeping new peace plan for Israel and Palestine, ignoring claims in the U.S. media that it was dead on arrival to focus on it as a beefy starting point.

A statement from Bahrain was typical of the reaction that has flooded into the White House since Trump unveiled the plan Wednesday. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commends the United States of America for its determined efforts to advance the peace process,” Bahrain said.

Qatar said in a statement that it “appreciates the endeavors of President Trump and the current U.S. administration to find solutions for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

The plan has been three years in the making and is considered the most detailed ever by an American administration. It came on a very busy week that included the signing of the new North American free trade agreement, a major immigration victory in the Supreme Court, and the continued impeachment debate.

With 23 governments applauding the peace plan, the world is “showing a willingness to receive our plan,” said an administration official. Some seven of those are in the Middle East.

But the plan has also sparked violent protests in Palestinian areas such as the West Bank.

Trump’s “Peace to Prosperity” plan links diplomatic and economic policy in a bid to settle the border issue between Israel and Palestine and provide a path to economic wealth for citizens.

The president announced it with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his side, leading officials in Palestine and Iran to dismiss it, but prompting nations in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East to express openness to it.

Australia, for example, said it “welcomes the release of the U.S. ‘Vision for Peace’ by President Trump today. We welcome any initiative that can assist the resumption of direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians for an end to this conflict, and the agreement of a durable and resilient peace settlement.”

Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, who led the peace project, met with 190 ambassadors to review the plan.

While some in the media have dismissed the plan, others, such as the Wall Street Journal, have given the White House credit for jump-starting the peace process and leveraging support from key players.

The paper wrote: “The Trump administration has wooed officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, and other nations in the region in an effort to transcend the political impasse, and to some extent they are responding. The most important regional players—Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E.—both urged Palestinian leaders to accept the Trump plan as a basis for new talks with Israel, a move that would force them to make significant concessions, such as Israeli annexation of the Jordan Valley.”

And the Moroccan foreign ministry echoed that. It said: “The resolution of the Palestinian question is the key to stability in the Middle East. It is for that reason that the Kingdom of Morocco appreciates the constructive peace efforts of the Trump administration with a view to achieving a just, lasting, and equitable solution to this conflict.”

True! Islam promotes 100% muslims spending their life for djihad, So killing is 100% allowed in the name of Allah

Charlie Hebdo after the slaughter of their crew in 2015, published a covert critic of Islam the next week : “Tout est pardonné” they were referring to Islam : if it is in the name of Allah, then all the sins are forgiven. Tout est pardonné !

Even suicide.

Islam is a terrible and murderous cult

yes but you are not a muslima so for you it is a sin like for any rational person -at least with some education – on Earth

Yes, but I am sure we can be pardoned and forgiven for our sins for they are committed in self-defense of ourselves and civilization, and that is always permitted in both Judaism and Christianity.

While to kill and be killed in an act of jihad is the most noble act in the islamic faith that erases all other sin, it’s not mandatory.

Hmmm, the Maccabees might not have prayed for the death of the Seleucids who threatened to turn the Temple Mount into a temple dedicated to Dionysus, but they did go out and kick their collective a$$ses.

“Palestine” is not a legitimate state. They are arab terrorists, and nothing more. They should all be deported from Israel and dumped into Iran or some other islamic hellhole. Make Israel whole again!

The Balfour Declaration was a letter written by British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lionel Walter Rothschild, in which he expressed the British government’s support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine. The long-term effects of the Balfour Declaration, and the British government’s involvement in Palestinian affairs, are felt even today.

100% correct! The only permanent solution is to recognize Israel’s annexation of Judea and Samaria and to make those areas safe for Jewish and Christian peoples, especially Christians who are persecuted in the Middle East.

Underlying this peace proposal is the obvious intent to provide some sought of defense against the aggressive behavior of Iran, Hamas, the PLO and Hezbollah. Though I am pessimistic that it will result in an acceptable settlement between the two most directly involved sides: Israel and the PLO/Hamas, I certainly will root for some favorable result that will end the turmoil that has existed between those two sides for over 70 years. Though it is clearly in the best interests of both the Arabs and the Israeli’s to resolve the issues that exist, unless the Arabs reject the hate/violence that is promoted by their Islamic belief system, I doubt that any legitimate result will occur. It is refreshing that so many countries see this American proposal as a step in the right direction, and it is further evidence that Trump is being a very effective administrator of foreign and domestic policy and on merit alone deserves four more years.

The “peace process” has been a sham and a lie practically since the modern state of Israel was born and this latest charade is no different.

It doesn’t matter what other uninvolved countries think if the people who need to agree to it are AGAINST IT. I doubt they will be pressured by them to go with it. I doubt they will even want to come to the table to negotiate further… I was hoping for something that might actually work…

I can easily understand why the “Palestinians” are not for it as well as our allie Jordon is NOT for it. There is a total disconnect for what these “Palestinians” want. They don’t want to prosper through capitalism, freedom or any sort of a democracy. They certainly see that this deal is a very one sided deal that favors Israel.

I have to wonder, WHAT WAS JARED THINKING? He is such a moron! According to Trump, Jared “spear headed this”. Both Ivanka and Jared need to go home. NEPOTISM should NOT be allowed under ANY circumstances. Trump’s love for them is clouding his better judgment

Now it makes perfect sense why Jason Greenblatt moved on. It was thought to be released at an earlier date. If it was a great plan, you’d hang around for the accolades – not suddenly leave to be with your wife and children in NJ.

Also Jordon plays some kind of a custodial role with Jerusalem and there seems to be no recognition of that. Jordon is not happy with this.

“Jason Greenblatt has decided to return to New Jersey to be with his wife and six children, who throughout the administration have resided in New Jersey,” a senior administration official told reporters on a conference call, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The plan is expected to be released soon after Israeli elections on September 17.

No-one but Israel should have any authority in Jerusalem. It belongs to the Jews.
And that includes our Temple Mount.
They treat our holiest site like it’s garbage. That’s the reality of jordan’s custodial role.
Moshe Dayan must have lost his mind that particular day.

The plan was never intended to be accepted by the zealots and criminals of the PA or Hamas. All know they will reject it. However, many of their people, long suppressed and silenced will accept it, and will readily accept Israeli authority once Trump and the US and the participating nations recognize Israel’s annexation of Judea and Samaria. Those who do not can find a new home in an Islamic country that may accept them.

Did you just call jordan an ally??? Sarcasm, I hope? 🙂
I don’t think any ‘peace plan’ will ever work. The moslem view is ‘wipe out Israel, wipe out Jews’.
That is what needs to change.
And why should Israel give this murderous filth any land, electric, water, food, medical care or anything else?
They’ve given way too much already.
I completely agree about jared and ivanka though. They’re celebrities more than anything else, and it shows. They shouldn’t be anywhere near government.

Palestine is the name of an area, originally “The land of the Philistines”, which covered a much larger area that includes parts of modern-day Jordan. Jordan itself is a British invention. Today’s “Palestine” is another invention, created and promoted by Arab Muslims to be a constant source of pain to Israel. This is finally coming to an end with the acceptance by the Saudis of the Trump peace plan, as it both frees Israel from further settlement and annexation restraint even tho the “Palestinians” rejected it, and it discourages the Saudis who have funded the terrorism since Israel came into being.

They’re all deluding themselves.
It’s NEVER going to happen.
The only thing that will ensure any kind of peace in Israel is to sweep all the damned arabs up and dump them somewhere in the desert far away.
And why should Israel have to give bits of what little land it has to a bunch of illegal, homicidal squatters?
They’re arabs. Let the arabs deal with them.
