Omar, Tlaib balk after report of Trump administration plan to expand travel ban: ‘Straight up racism!’

Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., expressed outrage Friday after a report said the Trump administration was considering an expansion of the nation’s travel ban to cover more countries.
In a statement, White House spokesman Hogan Gidley neither confirmed nor denied the expansion report but defended the existing policy.
“The Travel Ban has been very successful in protecting our Country and raising the security baseline around the world,” Gidley said. “While there are no new announcements at this time, common-sense and national security both dictate that if a country wants to fully participate in U.S. immigration programs, they should also comply with all security and counter-terrorism measures — because we do not want to import terrorism or any other national security threat into the United States.”
Nevertheless, Omar and Tlaib both addressed the travel ban Friday.
“What do 5 out of 7 of these countries have in common? They are Muslim-majority countries the President already tried to ban,” Omar tweeted.
It wasn’t clear whether she was referring to the currently banned countries or a potential list.
“We need to pass the #NoBanAct immediately to stop this madness,” she added.
Tlaib called the ban “Straight up racism!”

Even if most are not militant there is no upside to Muslim immigration. We do not need them in any way, and they just represent risks we don’t need to have. The President has the authority to ban whatever foreign group he deems too risky.

That had to go to the Supreme Court while other Presidents had no problem with it.

i totally agree, there is no upside for allowing the growth of Islam in our country or any country. I have lived for a little over 10 years in the Islamic world and I can tell you their society is sad, horrific, sadistic etc. ; and please listen all women you are like cattle. I had a Turkish Muslim girl friend named Nuktay. At the time Nuktay was 28 and she told me she would never marry a Turkish man. Well Nuktay (wonder where you are?) you are lucky for at least you had the option to reject, unlike millions of women in other Muslim countries like Afghanistan. Another little known fact, most Muslims would like to get out from under the oppression of Islam.

Trump’s not going far enough, we need to ban Islam as well given how monstrous and barbaric it is. I never heard of stoning or FGM until I learned about Islam.
As well we need to deport all followers of this ideology since they seek to impose it on all of us. Islam is also not a religion in the traditional sense.
It is a political mass movement (disguised as a religion) on par with Communism or Nazism but much worse. That alone should be enough to have it fully banned in western countries.
We’re smart enough in the West to figure this out and yet we allow these savages to continue to emigrate to our countries and grow their numbers. We need to form anti-Islam mass movement and demand that our politicians ban Islam and deport Muslims.
Make no mistake, we cannot coexist with them. They’ve been brainwashed from birth so they will never convert out of Islam voluntarily, except for the handful of smarter Muslims. The rest must go back.

Pelosi headlined a high dollar fundraiser, was it 2012 or 2014, that was attended by US based Islamist groups and individuals the US Government has linked to the Hamas Jihad Group and to the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, where one of the donors attending was Nihad Awad, the co-founder of CAIR.

Elect them and suddenly the law we all lived by for decades, is racist. Its brilliant in its simplicity. We dare not brand Islam as an inherently evil ideology, therefore anything spoken against it can be and is labeled ‘hate’, ‘bigotry’, or ‘racism’.
As long as it retains its ‘religious’ identity (especially the “religion of peace” – see why it was so important for Bush and Obama, a REP and a DEM, to get that message into to our psyche), ‘Freedom of Religion’ laws are used against to neuter any ability to stop them. Why it would be down right unconstitutional and discriminatory!
“We need to pass the ‘NoBanAct” (otherwise we are all guilty of bigotry). Simple. Brilliant. And with Congress in the hands of Dems, hating everything Trump and his followers stand for, it becomes ‘legal’ to act against ANYONE who opposes, and eventually even just criticizes, unfettered cultural pollution. It is already happening in western nations overseas, and as more are elected (consider the UK for example), the more this is going to happen. Dissenters who express their opinions will be arrested, lose their jobs, even harassed at their homes (again UK, Europe, Australia, soon to be Canada). I am in Canada and I am already experiencing censoring for opinions not dissimilar to this.
