F(reedom) Train: NY Daily News Having Second Thoughts On Supporting ‘Geller Ban’ on Free Speech

50

The radical left-wing extremist New York Daily News (they’re not the only ones who can name call)  is lamenting the banning of free speech on NYC’s public transportation – the Geller ban in an op-ed today. They blame the Rhetorical bomb-thrower Pamela Geller”, “Subway Uglifer”, “Racist-Islamophobic-Anti-Muslim-Bigot“,  – one of many slurs and pejoratives flung at you by the storm-trooping left  if you oppose jihad terror, gender apartheid, creed apartheid and genocide. What is missing from this NYDN op-ed is their mea culpa – these very same whiners supported the banning of speech until …… it affected them and their hard-left causes. Further missing from this sophomoric (albeit correct) whine is that it’s not just New York City. Every city in the United States has since imposed the Geller ban. I warned the NYC MTA at the time of the  public hearings that banning free speech on public transport in NYC would send a message to the world. I was right. It did just that. New York City government set the example and the rest of America’s cities (run by authoritarian Democrats) followed like lemmings.

Every city in the United States, land of the First Amendment, has banned political, issue-related ads.

‘First they came for the Gellers, but I did not speak out because I am not a Geller….”

Story continues below advertisement

Just as I warned in my plea to the MTA – watch these videos to MTA board in 2012 and 2015.

The F(reedom) train: The MTA’s weak stand on free speech and ads

By Daily News Editorial Board, New York Daily News | Jan 29, 2020 | 4:00 AM

For five years now, the good men and women of the MTA have banned all political and message advertising, with the not-so-small exception of public service announcements that happen to boost incumbents like the mayor and governor. Transit system brass didn’t want to let rhetorical bomb-thrower Pamela Geller upset some straphangers by speaking harshly of Islam — and the only constitutional way to stop her was to say no to any and all ads expressing opinions on contentious moral, religious or social issues.

Hard cases make bad policy. Because now, the cash-strapped subway system is leaving money on the table. Paid political speech and message advertising is being prohibited in what is the city’s most vital public square, in an election year no less. And some politics is inevitably slipping through, disadvantaging speakers who don’t happen to fall under transitcrats’ good graces.

To wit: Internet dating service OKCupid’s just-released subway campaign encourages people to look for love based on political affiliation. “It’s OK to choose to only date someone who’s pro-choice,” reads one. “It’s OK to choose Mr. Right based on how far left he leans,” says another.

It’s not OK to enforce arbitrary distinctions and chill political speech in the process.

Uncanny. She’s barely aged a day! Who is this person who defies time with such righteous vigor? If it ain’t natural, it’s supernatural.

Geller supports anti-BDS laws, which are obviously anti-free speech and clear violations of the 1st Amendment.

One must not make oneself available to these people as a projection screen for their self-hate. The trick is to make them run completely into nothing. My helpful hints obviously went unnoticed. Pamela needs to understand how the media’s reactions to her come about, and how to counter them effectively.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty-Six_Stratagems
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_Being_Right

Pamela must understand that she reaps what she sows. She is not yet (for a long time) ready and feels in the right. But if she carefully examines her actions, she will find that she sends a certain “uncompromising” attitude into the world, to put it mildly.

“Revenge is a dish that is eaten cold,” it says. With the dagger in her robe and the enchanting smile on her lips. That’s how it’s done! But we should curb our hatred, bitterness breeds enemies. Pam is too uncontrolled and hot-blooded, she obviously lacks self-control, she should definitely work on that. The principle applies: Sovereignty is the most important thing.

It makes her sympathetic that she is emotionally highly engaged, but she makes herself vulnerable. To resist the impulses to have to “react”, not to absorb and internalize the opponent’s energy, but to direct it against the opponent himself instead, that is the high art of war.

One must get to the bottom of the truth. I would strategically defuse much of what Pam exaggerates. It’s less what she says, but way too often, how.

WOW. The naive just keep on giving even though they have no idea who they are talking about.

GO AWAY. We all know you are trolling……………and you probably gave yourself that UP-VOTE.

It is disgusting to me how anyone can claim to be a Patriot and love our Constitution yet diss someone else for being too vocal about it, walking softly as to not ruffle any feathers.

I WILL STAND WITH PAM GELLER WHEN SHE SCREAMS FROM THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN HOW EVIL THE LEFTISTS, SOCIALISTS, COMMUNISTS, AND DEMOCRATS HAVE BECOME!

Then, I will go get my gun. THAT TIME HAS NOT COME YET, but it will and when it does, I will have millions of American joining me WHEN THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH, TOO.

She’s from New York and that is how they roll. It’s not something you’d understand unless you’d been around the people from there. It’s different than most laid back from other areas. Ever heard of a New York minute. Thousands of people and unless your brash, you don’t get heard. Just the way it is there.

PAM doesn’t need to understand ANYTHING. She already knows what is at stake in America. DO YOU? I doubt it. There is no trick, no ploy, no fools errand. However, there is FREEDOM AND LIBERTY AT STAKE. And, if anyone cares what the Media thinks or cares about, THEN THEY ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

Countering them means YOU STOP WATCHING AND SUPPORTING THEM and like any business, THEY WILL FALL.

Censorship is going on right under your nose.

Our local public library has been literally throwing out conservative books and replacing them with liberal books. The book cart was often parked near the dumpster and others were feverishly going through the cart it before they were tossed into the dumpster. I just happened to walk over and see what the crowd was doing at the dumpster and the book cart.

Do a search on your public library site and see how many conservative books are there. I bet you will be suprised that many are no longer carried or in premanent “mending” for repair. They are sneaky about it… Hitler simply burned them.

It’s all true. This happened to me atleast five years ago. I was wondering why were all these people frantically going through book carts lined up at the dumpster.

Another time my daughter needed to do a book report on Martin Luther and the Reformation Our local library is large and has allot of books. There was only ONE book on that in “mending”. ALL the other books were on Martin Luther King. There was at least 20 or 30 or them for all grade levels. This was when my last one was in elementary school, so that was at least 12 years ago.

Amen, Felix, rewritten, sanitized history aka censorship. The new generation of book burners are not a rarity. I recall, the Democrats wanted to hand the right to vote to 16 year-olds; indeed, the heavily radicalized young left are brainwashed by the likes of Pelosi, Obama, Sanders, the entire enchilada. Nor is it merely the young being indoctrinated. Take care, Felix.

My local library doesn’t burn books they just don’t buy them. There are literally no books by any one critical of islum — nothing by Ms. Geller, nothing by Robert Spencer, nothing by Mark Steyn, nothing by Bill Warner, nothing by Brigitte Gabriel. All counter-jihadi websites are blocked from both their library computers and anyone using their WiFi. I’d imagine there’s little difference between my local libraries and those found across the muslum world.

THEN, YOU COMPLAIN. (The squeaky wheel GETS THE GREASE.) Keep going up the chain until you reach your Governor. If that doesn’t work, call ACLJ.

A CLASS ACTION Lawsuit may work wonders! If you have ever voted to support your local library, THEN IT IS YOUR TAXES AT WORK. It is your right, so go tell that Librarian, like I did, TO ORDER THAT BOOK FOR YOU!

DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO THAT TO YOU OR YOUR COMMUNITY.

TomSJr

Our library carries EVERYTHING because the community’s taxes PAY FOR THEIR BUILDING, THEIR SALARIES AND THEIR BENEFITS, so they better carry EVERYTHING, or else they will be HISTORY.

If the Library doesn’t carry a book, THEY WILL GET IT FOR YOU WITHIN A FEW DAYS OR A WEEK. I have read almost every CONSERVATIVE, anti-liberal, anti-Muslim book on the market from that Library. THESE PEOPLE HERE KNOW BETTER.

Censorship is nothing new by totaltarians.
Nazi Germany, communists like Mao did it and now WE are being threatened with it. Glad I don’t live in Germany or China – it’s in full swing there without a fight.

We have our own “Four Olds” campaign. It’s the shredding of our traditions, religion, habits, ideas etc.. The Chinese also had book burnings. Honestly it’s all the same with a different label and country. They don’t teach censorship tyranny in public or lefty private schools or if they do, teachers and students do NOT link it to what is happening in the U.S. by the LEFT. For aspiring students considering “journalism” as a career or class to take, instructors always use the NEW YORK TIMES as their ideal model – I kid you not. Parents seem to be oblivous or maybe they agree with it?
