Law enforcement officials: Gang members released under new bail reform law

By Long Island News12, January 9th, 2019:

Known gang members are being released from jails across Long Island under the new state bail reform law, according to law enforcement officials.

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon tells News 12 that 41 of the 301 people released since November are known gang members.

In Nassau, the president of the corrections officers union says known gang members have been released from jail under the law. According to court records, 20 people in Nassau identified as gang members are now back on the street.

As News 12 has reported, about 600 inmates have been released from jail in both Nassau and Suffolk in the two months leading up to Jan. 1.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced earlier this week that he’s open to possible tweaks in the law. However, he didn’t discuss the matter in his State of the State address.

That mandatory release list for crimes committed without bail is amazingly degenerate and immoral. But why would I expect anything less from a government run by Dem0rats looking for the felons’ vote?

Illegal alien Reeaz Khan, 21 years old, raped and strangled 92 year old Maria Fuertes.
Fuertes lay half-dressed in 32-degree weather for two hours before she was found, conscious but “incoherent,” at around 2 a.m., according to the criminal complaint. She suffered a broken spine, rib fractures and bruising on her chest and neck, among other injuries, according to court papers. She died.
Khan had been previously arrested by the NYPD on assault charges, and ICE lodged a detainer the same day.
The detainer was not honored.
I don’t know why the Left’s infatuation with illegal aliens has to include violent criminals, but Maria Fuertes would still be alive if they had deported Khan like they were supposed to.
