PALOS HILLS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Charges have been upgraded against a man who allegedly slashed tires of multiple vehicles at churches in Palos Hills last year because he didn’t like Christians.
Osama E. El Hannouny, 25, was initially arrested Nov. 17, 2019, and charged with 14 counts of criminal damage to property, according to Palos Hills police.
The charges against him were upgraded Thursday to 14 counts of hate crime, police said. He allegedly admitted to slashing tires of 19 vehicles at two churches because he didn’t like Christians.
He was released on a personal recognize bond and electronic monitoring Thursday, police said….

I am totally against these EMOTION dirven “hate crimes” and “hate punishment”.

You are so right. That idiotic idea was implanted by the Left. Who gets to decide that someone committed a hate crime. A well known reader here accused me of antisemitism just last week because I told the truth about something done by Mossad. It is a very dangerous thing to say that any person or group must be kept immune to criticism. This person, Hussar, is not one bit different from the people who like to decide who has committed a “hate crime.” Instead of assigning some peoples as deserving of unequal justice we ought to go by ALL the facts.

As soon as we get a congressional majority, we must pass a federal law mandating expulsion from the entire continent of North and South America for these avowed by action or word haters whether they are citizens or not.

Do you really want people MORE emoionally driven?
People are becoming emoionally driven imbeciles.
Who is to say, that if your tires are slashed that should matter LESS if it was done by a black person or a Muslim? If a WHITE person did and you arre white, it is still a “hate” crime. The tires are slashed. The motivating factor is NOT LOVE! Any tire slashing is done in HATE.
We need an EQUALLY aplied JUSTICE system – like we used to have…..no this EMOTIONALLY drive hate stuf where in many other situations you are reading minds to determine if it was a “hate crime”.

I understand what you are saying but to continue with something like “hate crimes” and applying it equally doesn’t make it right to take that approach. We need to get rid of it.

The SLIME should be made to PAY for ALL of the tires, the TIME ($50 per hour) each person spent waiting and getting their tires replaced, $10,000 per person for “pain and suffering”, and 5 years in prison.

I am all for RESTITUTION MINUS the EMOTION.
There was no “pain and suffering” involved unless you want to make
“pain and suffering”meaningless too. Being called a “racist” has no real meaning any more. The word “impeachement” has no real meaning any morning. Tires have no feelings and having a tire vandalized does not cause “pain and suffering” by the owner. Sure throw in “pain and suffering” too! Add that to the list of menaningless words anf further dilute equal and farily applied justice and elevate only certain goups over others.

So this is a Muslim Hate Crime targeting Christians.
If a non-Muslim did this to Muslims saying it was because he hated them he would get 15 years.
But because the perpetrator is a Muslim the California leftist judge is more likely to appologize for the perpetrator living in a state where there are Christians and then release him on probation order barring him from going near churches..

I think we have arrived at the point in which every church and every synagogue ought to have at least one person who is armed and watchful, and who is positioned at the front of the sanctuary, facing so they can see everyone. There also ought to be cameras covering the parking lot and buildings that are monitored online. Surely this can be accomplished without anyone having to miss the service.
