China’s Leader Xi Jinping warns of ‘GRAVE SITUATION’ as CORONAVIRUS spreads at “accelerating speed”

The Chinese government is notoriously (and dangerously) secretive so we cannot know the true number of sick and dying. Whatever numbers are coming out of China, they’re wrong. The MO of the Chinese is cover-up.

Here’s the latest (previous coverage here).

The big issue is the survival rate.
We don’t know what that number is yet. Millions get colds every year, but the survival rate is extremely high, and only the very weak succumb. So we don’t worry much about colds. Even though they are very infectious.

Outside China, the survival rate for the Wuhan virus will be better than inside China, because health care is better in the West. With good detection and isolation, combined with good symptom treatments, we can beat this in the West.

In the USA, no one died from SARS, another coronavirus. Only 75 were infected, and the spread stopped when they were isolated and treated. The SARS virus had nowhere to live, so it died out.

Don’t kid yourself about the west. Have you ever seen a hospital or many hospitals drowning in patients after a major disaster and for this one there is NO vaccine or any other than supportive treatment. If the number is few you are quite correct. If it explodes in the west we will be overwhelmed. Th massive if late response of the Chicoms, the fact that it is the Chinese new year plus the fact that many expatriates have entered China to visit ancestral villages etc,. mans that many with it are already out in the west and infectious. I don’t know the story of this virus but I doubt that you are only infectious when you are ill as there always seems to a prodromal period when you are but not yet ill.

That’s another problem. When they dump these people at large airports here, they could already have it with out the fever. Or if they have it, take Advil or something like that to lower their temperature and bring it here while contaminating others on the plane or public transportation.

Yes, early identification of Wuhan virus-infected people will be difficult. Some infected patients do not have fever. With smallpox and other previous epidemics, travelers from infectious regions were sometimes quarantined until the incubation period had passed.

Yes, Ro refers to the number that each patient infects: the infection rate. Survival rate refers to the number who survive the illness. Both of these can be influenced by better care. Quarantine and isolation are used to reduce the infection rate, and better medical treatment for symptoms is used to increase the survival rate.

China is having trouble with both, because their quarantine methods are inadequate. In the smallpox epidemics in Western countries, workers went from house to house, to find sick people and get them into treatment. That improved both the infection rates and the survival rates. Smallpox is now extinct, except a few high security labs.

The, so called, Spanish Flu of 1918 had the highest mortality in the younger population. It started in the Spring with a mild epidemic with a high survivability rate. It returned in the Fall (mutation?) with a vengeance. It infected 500 million people and killed about 50 million (from 30 to 100 million estimated) And all this took place BEFORE the introduction of super fast world travel by jet plane. Even the Inuit tribe in Alaska was found infected. It was the most lethal event ever experienced by homo sapiens in the history of Planet Earth. Just saying.

Just the on site survey work required to know where to excavate on the multi-acre “hospital” site would take a week or longer, never mind the site plan prep needed for utilities and foundation work. It is more likely the excavation is for mass graves as others have suggested. But that would be difficult to hide from aerial/satellite surveillance. Fascinating.

The Wuhan virus is already much worse than the H1N1 flu virus. The mortality rate for flu in the USA actually declined that year.

Cui bono? [who benefits?]. Maybe the Chinese Communist Party, since they are interested in depopulation. This will become evident in how well the ChiComs handle the epidemic.

In October 2009, I somehow contracted H1N1, which also originated in China. Being a lifelong asthmatic the virus hit me hard. Within 24 hours I was put in an induced coma and placed on a ventilator in the ICU. It was touch and go for 3 days and really hard going for several weeks after. Needless to say, I recovered from the illness, but it took more than 6 months for me say that I felt relatively normal.

This new coronavirus scares the hell out of me.

A NIOSH – N95 face mask is especially important for people who have pre-existing vulnerabilities, like a history of pneumonia. “Surgical face masks” block germs in exhaled air, but the NIOSH – N95 masks block 95% of the germs in inhaled air, including the droplets from coughs and sneezes. If things get really bad, the NIOSH – N95 masks might get sold out.

Walking people who suddenly drop usually have either a cardiac malfunction or a nervous system one (sure there are others but less common). If the reports of bloody sputum are correct , it is a haemorrhagic virus like Ebola and they have probably had a cerebral bleed, Very nasty.

Michelle: Happy New Year!
– Wuhan virus is just a respiratory flu-like illness, like SARS was. I question the stories about people dropping dead. If a person can’t breathe, then their heart could stop. But they could not walk either.

I think I read that elsewhere it caused more fatalities. Our healthcare is superior to countries close to where it originated.

I am glad unlike Obama, Trump is not flying infected non citizens into our country and in our hospitals to pass it along in our hospitals and run up costs that WE had to absorb. Then they didn’t leave. They STAYED here.

SARS was first reported in China, and was a coronavirus. There were 8,098 SARS cases, of whom 774 died. More than 7,000 of those cases and about 650 of the deaths occurred in Mainland China and Hong Kong. The US had 75 cases and zero deaths. Then the disease simply disappeared.

I’m not sure the stories about people dropping dead are true. In China, some are fainting on the streets, and in hospital corridors, but they are not dead. For sure, not enough are getting prompt treatment.

Thank you! I watched several videos (here and elsewhere) and you do not fall flat on your face without attempting to break the fall unless it is soft snow(been there plenty). These people just suddenly keeled over while walking and absolutely face planted onto concrete. Now they walked normally then dropped. that is NOT merely a respiratory virus. That sudden loss of consciousness does not fit in with that. If you also look at the bloody sputum reports it is scary. A dry cough can give slightly bloodstained sputum but coughing up frank blood with or without clots is bad news.

I’m not sure the stories about people dropping dead are true. Coronaviruses usually cause respiratory problems, and this can cause fainting, if the person can’t breathe properly, and then their heart gets weak. That may be what we are seeing in the videos. For sure, people who faint on the street are quite sick.

Michelle
Michelle

If you watch how some of them walk it is normal walking before the collapse NOT staggering. Much as I would like to believe in and hope about what you post the statements about bloody sputum and sudden death are not coronaviral but Ebola characteristics. Ebola is not very contagious unless you are a fool but a coronavirus is incredibly so and both live in fruit bats. If those reports continue we may actually have a bioweapon running amok. The absolute test will be if members of the politburo die because on the case of a weapon they would be immunized already BUT if it escaped prematurely there would be no vaccine. As the level 4 biolabs have only been up and running for a few years (if that)it is far too soon to have safe vaccine made from a dangerous bioweapon.

Step one: shut down any and all travel to and from China. Two: don’t allow anyone in who was in China over the past three weeks (incubation is supposedly two weeks). Three: close down all international travel if this is declared a pandemic and keep it so until it is no longer a threat to humanity.

You can not trust or believe the Chinese. If they are finally admitting to that, it must be really bad. They are very secretive, love to screw countries over with predatory loans they know won’t be paid back and confiscate assets in the country as well as outright lying to other countries about issues.

That said, why would ANYONE go with Chinese 5G technology? The Chinese will use this to SPY on 5G signed up countries, compromise our Five Eyes international intelligence sharing and possibly sabotage plans. China would be spying on western countries. France and Germany already signed on to 5G. I hope the UK reconsiders going with 5G. You don’t want China dominating in that area – it’s dangerous. The communist Chinese are very sensitive people…and like the totalitarian left here, have no sense of humor. China doesn’t have a MUSLIM TERRORISM problem….the west does!
