Former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi made the White House’s case to the Senate on Monday afternoon that President Donald Trump had good reason to ask Ukraine to investigate the conflict of interest involving former Vice President Joe Biden; his son Hunter Biden; and the corrupt Ukraine gas company, Burisma.

Using clips of testimony from Democrats’ own witnesses, and reports from the mainstream media — including an ABC News interview with Hunter Biden — Bondi argued that Hunter Biden was paid handsomely for little reason other than that he was the vice president’s son. The company was under investigation at the time — and Vice President Biden later famously insisted the prosecutor be fired.

She also noted that Hunter Biden was involved in business with Chris Heinz, the stepson of then-Secretary of State John Kerry. Both were involved in Ukraine — and elsewhere — at a time when ending corruption was said to be the top priority of the United States and other western governments in dealing with Ukraine.

Bondi also noted that journalists had asked the Obama administration about the Bidens’ conflict of interest, and that American diplomats — including State Department official George Kent and former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who testified in the House impeachment inquiry — had raised concerns as well.

Nothing was done, she pointed out, and Hunter Biden only left the board of Burisma in April 2019, the same month that his father announced his campaign for the presidency, when under closer scrutiny than usual.

Bondi noted that the House Democrat impeachment managers had referred to “the Bidens and Burisma 400 times” in their presentation in an effort to pre-empt the argument that there was any legitimate basis, other than the president’s own political interest, for asking the Ukraine to investigate them.

“All we’re saying is that there was a basis to talk about this, to raise this issue, and that is enough,” Bondi explained.

The really “strange” thing we see, besides the painted faces and exaggerated movements, is there is no action on any of these despite the mountains of evidence… this Biden case is inexplicable except for the context of there was something crooked going on there. Likewise Hillary clearly had an illegal email server and she not only mishandled classified information, she also obstructed justice by deleting email and perjuring herself… both illegal and that seems to be only the tip of the iceberg when you consider their scheme of fraudulently maintaining a charity to enrich themselves with their pay to play scheme. Not to mention Lois Lerner’s clear obstruction of justice in damaging evidence in the IRS scandal.

And add to that the exposed wrong doings by the FBI and Wray thinks he’s going to “fix” the situation by putting new rules in place… does he really think new rules will stop such a coup attempt in the future? Or is he just play acting so everybody can feel good about the deep state doing what they’re going to do? Comey illegally leaked classified information and lied about it… but who is being prosecuted to the hilt for “lying” under oath? Not Comey… not Hillary… apparently there is more than one standard of law at work and nothing seems to be being done about it…. so it isn’t strange nothing is being done… sadly it is expected… the deep state is alive and well… Trump needs to fire Wray. And if Barr isn’t actually going to do anything, he must go too.
