Babson College professor fired after saying Iran should target Kardashians, Mall of America |

37

After his firing the Babson professor released a less-than-apologetic statement:

“I would have hoped that Babson, an institution of higher education that I love and to which I have given a great deal, would have defended and supported my right to free speech.”

Ah, there it is. They shut us up, they shut us down. They ban us from college campuses and all areas of public discourse but when they call for murder they want their genocidal incitement “protected’. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.

Babson College professor ousted after joking that Iran should target Kardashians, Mall of America

A Babson College adjunct professor was fired after making a joke on his Facebook account about Iran bombing American cultural sites.

By FOX News, January 2020:

“In retaliation, Ayatollah Khomeini should tweet a list of 52 sites of beloved American cultural heritage that he would bomb,” wrote Asheen Phansey, the Massachusetts college’s director of sustainability.

“Mall of America?… Kardashian residence?” he suggested.

Phansey’s post was in response to a series of tweets from President Trump on Saturday suggesting that America had targeted 52 Iranian cultural sites if Iran were to strike any Americans or American assets after the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD,” Trump had tweeted.

Babson released a statement announcing Phansey’s termination.

“Babson College conducted a prompt and thorough investigation related to a post shared on a staff member’s personal Facebook page that does not represent the values and culture of the college,” the school said, according to CBS Boston.

“Based on the results of the investigation, the staff member is no longer a Babson College employee,” it said. “As we have previously stated, Babson College condemns any type of threatening words and/or actions condoning violence and/or hate.”

[…]
On Thursday night, Phansey released a less-than-apologetic statement: “I am disappointed and saddened that Babson has decided to abruptly terminate my 15-year relationship with the college just because people willfully misinterpreted a joke I made to my friends on Facebook.”

“I would have hoped that Babson, an institution of higher education that I love and to which I have given a great deal, would have defended and supported my right to free speech,” he added. “Beyond my own situation, I am really concerned about what this portends for our ability as Americans to engage in political discourse without presuming the worst about each other.”

He sounds like a total loser…I wonder what country his parents are from…

Asheen Phansey, who was the school’s sustainability director, has since apologized to his colleagues for what he called a “bad attempt at humor.”

Following the termination, Phansey released a statement saying he was “disappointed and saddened” the College terminated his relationship just because people “misinterpreted a joke.”

“I would have hoped that Babson, an institution of higher education that I love and to which I have given a great deal, would have defended and supported my right to free speech. Beyond my own situation, I am really concerned about what this portends for our ability as Americans to engage in political discourse without presuming the worst about each other,” Phansey said in a statement.

After being suspended Wednesday, Phansey released his apology, saying he is opposed to all violence:

I regret my bad attempt at humor. As an American, born and raised, I was trying to juxtapose our ‘cultural sites’ with ancient Iranian churches and mosques. I am completely opposed to violence and would never advocate it by anyone. I am sorry that my sloppy humor was read as a threat. I condemn all acts of violence.

I am particularly sorry to cause any harm or alarm for my colleagues at Babson, my beloved alma mater, and the place where I have enjoyed teaching students and serving as its sustainability director. (He’s also an adjunt professor)

Phansey is active in corporate sustainability, serving as the board treasurer of the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund and having testified on carbon legislation at the Massachusetts State House, according to his biography on the Babson College website.

The mistake he made was ‘him’ naming targets, I don’t necessarily think he should have been fired for it, some form of discipline yes. I would think we would want to know what kind of targets the Ayatollah Khomeini would pick. As for the targets he picked, The Mall of America, bad choice, I have been there about 20 years ago and it wasn’t that great, but it would be targeting a lot of “innocent” people, and it’s not really an iconic symbol. As for the Kardashian residence, I could care less, it’s just in bad taste. The discipline could be having to actually go to the Kardashian’s and apologize to them directly on camera. Also going to The Mall of America and having to set up a booth explaining to people there what he said, so they could ask him themselves why he thinks that.

By this standard, Robert De Niro was just joking about everything he has said about President Trump. (Hey Secret Service, De Niro keeps making public threats or calls to violence against the president; shouldn’t he be hauled in and given a psychological examination?)

Why is it always someone “misinterpreting” a “joke” only once they get negative backlash? In no way did it seem like a joke, more like advice.

If people started DOXing him (which I do NOT recommend), would he be outraged or would he defend the free speech of the people doing it? Outraged most likely.

Mall of America is owned and managed by the Triple Five Group (which in turn is owned by Canada’s Ghermezian family, along with the West Edmonton Mall and the future American Dream Meadowlands). Eighty percent of visitors to the Mall of America are from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Illinois, Ohio and Canada.

Try not to act stupid, hm?

The Ghermezian family IS from Iran, but they’re Jewish.
I’d like to see proof your assertion that 80% of the visitors to Mall of America are from Minnesotastan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakota, Illinois, Ohio and Canada. But I’m guessing a lieberal, muslum loving a$$hole like you won’t be bothering to provide such proof.

Who cares? The Mall is owned by Triple FIve Group, in which Iranians have a percentage of ownership. The Chinese own the Waldorf Astoria. Katara Group (A Qatari company) owns the Plaza Hotel. The fact that foreigners own major American assets is news to you? Started in the 80s in NY.

As for cites, I’m not the guy to challenege for them, because I cite any claim I make.

If you have a LexisNexis account I can give you an internal cite, but you need an account.

I’m Jewish, BTW, GFY.

Where’s their proof muslum loving f*cktard? Just because some other a$$hole says something and you quote him doesn’t make it true.
Gee I wonder why the Ghermezian family doesn’t live in that f*ckistan Iran. Why don’t you move there and find out? Make sure to wear a star-of-david themed kippah when you do — they love that there!

It is a given the Leftists and Islam believe the First Amendment only pertains to them; those of a Conservative, a Christian, Jewish, or others deemed second-class, if not third-class citizens. This so-called professor’s utterance that Iran should attack specific American targets is not a rarity, an anomaly. Educators of all levels of education are no more than propagandists, handlers for the Leftists and Islamic accord.

Babson College, at least, fired this hate-mongering, seditionist professor. There are copious others from lower schools to universities polluting the minds of young, malleable minds. It is time for the entirety of the education system’s uprooting and redeemed, affording students First Amendment Rights and intellectual integrity.

This is the second phase of the communist / democrat party. First the second amendment, then the first.
Fake news and the social media companies are doing a great job at both.

Suggesting targets for bombing isn’t ‘free speech’ it is being an accessory to terrorism. I’m surprised the FBI hasn’t locked his ass up yet. But ho-ho-ho, it’s just another Muslim with a ‘wacky’ sense of humor.

I don’t know when we’re ever going to wake up to these Nazis amongst us…so long as we do. I don’t want to go down without a fight against these evil monsters.
