Former UNRWA Spokesman Chris Gunness Attacks Israel in Bizarre Twitter Rant

This is obviously totally deranged conduct by the former UNRWA official, but it is certainly not surprising. President Trump must continue to ensure that not one penny of American tax dollars goes to this anti-Semitic and terrorist supporting organization.

Former UNRWA Spokesman Chris Gunness Attacks Israel in Bizarre Twitter Rant

By Jewish Press, December 26, 2019:

Former United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) spokesperson Chris Gunness launched a bizarre Twitter rant this week against Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Instead of peace on earth and goodwill toward men, Gunness unleashed scathing attacks on Israel for Christmas with parodies of famous holiday songs and poems.

In a post directed at Netanyahu, Gunness referred to the recent news that the International Criminal Court is considering investigating Israel for war crimes:

“To Mr Netanyahu / You better watch out, you better not cry / You better not pout, I’m telling you why / The ICC is coming to town. / They know you’ve done some war crimes / They know you you’ve been corrupt / They know you’ve sanctioned settlements / You are absolutely f****d.”

In a subsequently deleted post, Gunness also made fun of Arab “collaborators” who were brutally executed by Hamas:

“Twas the night before Christmas, / when all across The Strip / Not a Qasam Rocket crackled / under Israel’s tight grip / Collaborators twitched as they hung in the air / On the lamp posts that glistened in Palestine Square.”

Although he’s no longer a representative of the international body, his comments are highly irregular for a former official who was supposed to be a neutral arbiter in the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.

Naturally, his tweets sparked outrage on the social media platform.

Yeah, Chris- you’re not supposed to make things obvious to the marks.

Every now and then when he ran UNRAW he let comments slip or he defended the undefensible. Israel was never in the right. Israel had no right to defend itself.

UNRAW facilities stored terrorist rockets, rifles, bomb making materials and he was always shocked, SHOCKED that facilities he controlled would do something like that. When UNRAW was exposed for this, instead of confiscating and destroying the materials he turned everything over to Hamas to “dispose”. That is a vaguely disguised wink, wink.

The UN did nothing about him, no matter what he did, say, or lie.

The bigger question is why are the so-called Palestinians the only multigenerational refugees on planet earth? After the first generation you are not a refugee, that according to the UN itself, except for this one group. What about the Jews who were forced out of North African Muslim lands and Middle East countries; why are they not still refugees and receiving handouts and special services? Why aren’t they a protected people, too?

I have friends forced out of Egypt and allowed to take nothing with them. I know a family who were thrown off their farm and escaped what is now improperly called the West Bank with only their lives. Where are their freebies from the UN? Oh wait… Jews.

Stephen, even “Palestinians” who have taken citizenship in another country are not considered refugees so long as they are living in the country of their nationality. But, uniquely, I believe, if they return to “Palestine”, Presto! they become refugees again. UNlogic,

They remain refugees in the eyes of the UN. In Muslim countries, except Jordan as the main exception, they can not become citizens, or citizens with full rights. They are limited in work, membership, trade, and services such as medical.

I’ve met second or third generation “Palestinians” living in North America and they still refer to themselves as Palestinian refugees.
