Scuffles break out as Adam Schiff speaks at Armenian town hall

Story continues below advertisementAt a town hall event on Saturday where an Armenian organization was thanking U.S. government officials for their support of resolutions recognizing the Armenian Genocide, scuffles broke out as Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank), a co-sponsor of a resolution on the issue, spoke in the auditorium at the Glendale Central Library.
As Schiff began speaking, an elderly man and woman and a younger woman held up signs stating “Don’t Impeach.” When they were asked to take down the signs, they refused.
Then, about a dozen people scattered throughout the auditorium began yelling “Liar.”
When some in the audience asked them to refrain from yelling, several scuffles broke out throughout the room, and the audience members who were yelling at Schiff removed their jackets. They were wearing pro-President Trump T-shirts.
After roughly 15 minutes, the scuffles settled down, and the event continued.
There were three Glendale police officers at the event who helped deal with the situation, according to the Glendale Police Department. No injuries were reported, according to police.
The event was organized by the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region to thank the U.S. House of Representatives for passing a resolution affirming its recognition of the Armenian Genocide in October and celebrating the U.S. Senate’s unanimous recognition of the Armenian Genocide on Thursday.
Schiff said he appreciated the opportunity to take part in the event.

According to this law, conspiring to overthrow the US President by unconstitutional means is a felony. And impeachment on the basis of hearsay, innuendo, and vague terms is an illegal Presidential overthrow. As Dershowitz and others have said, the current impeachment proceedings are not even remotely Constitutional.
And all those who knew the FISA applications were bogus, are vulnerable to charges of Misprison of Felony. Barr may indict at will.

Finally, Trump supporters are standing up to the perfidious Likes of Schiff and Pelosi. The latter are the true criminals and traitors to ‘We the People.’ The smug and shiftless Schiff is the one deserving impeachment, along with Pelosi and her confederates.

While I appreciate those out there who are zealous in their manner of expressing their opinion, I believe that when the situation becomes “violent,” what we are seeing is the divisiveness that has become what seems to be the rule here and elsewhere, rather than the exception. That divisiveness I believe was created and today is continuously fostered by the Democrats and the media, and not by those who support the non-politician Trump. Schiff and Nadler and Pelosi represent was is wrong with American politicians today. They put aside their intellect and instead substitute their unfounded hate for Trump, who refuses to adopt their concepts of politicking, since their concept of politicking is based on not what is best for the people but what is best for them to continue to hold on to the power and for the greed that it engenders. Clearly, there is no legitimate basis for impeachment as no High Crime has been committed, though I suspect the conduct of the Democrats might be moving in that direction. It is very sad that discussing issues has seemingly lost its civility

At least things are looking better for you folks… can’t say the same here, with the Democrat’s wanting to toss the President, the Constitution, and the Republic. Feckin’ Commies! I have been following what’s been happening to the president and am totally disgusted at how that dirty party can drag trump and America through the dirt on bogus accusations. There is much support for Trump here in England and we hope he comes out of this healthy and well though such a strain would stagger any man.

Brace yourselves with the knowledge that in that state some of those there will have spawned an antifa or two and while those in that place support this stitch up of a sitting and lawfully elected conservative patriot POTUS by your hard left like to preach “tolerance” and “diversity”, when it comes to understanding their side lost in 2016 and political diversity IS the result they refuse to accept the result.

The protestors did not physically attack anyone but insisted that they be heard because schifty could not shut them down. They came with Trump shirts on and that shows they were ready to rumble if violence was offered.

Since a heckler’s veto is not protected by the First Amendment, why weren’t chairs swung at the disrupters or live bullets fired into them to quiet them down?
@bargogx1 – Trump supporters were the ones who disrupted the event. I would have used chairs or bullets to silence their disruption, and then take their bodies to the back and burn them.
