President Trump has done it again. This decision is a stunning rebuke of Obama’s anti-Jewish policies and the antisemitic ruling by the European Court of Justice to label Jewish products from Judeau and Sumeria.
It is the perfect response to UN Security Council Resolution 2334 (which President Obama allowed to pass) calling “settlement” activity a “flagrant violation” of international law and with “no legal validity”.
This decision is long overdue. Denying Jewish people the right to live in their ancestral homeland is immoral. It will also not bring about peace. Instead, it will encourage more terror attacks and incitement from the Palestinian Authority.

West Bank settlements not illegal, US decides in historic US policy shift
It was not immediately clear how the new policy would impact the future roll out of the Trump peace plan.

In a historic reversal of US policy, the Trump administration is set to announce on Monday that it does not view Israeli settlements in the West Bank as illegal. The policy change is scheduled to be formalized in an official address by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington.
The decision, The Jerusalem Post has learned, came after a year-long review conducted by the State Department’s legal office. The team met with international law experts as well as officials from different governments to hear their opinions.
The review was prompted by the Obama administration’s decision to enable the passing of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 in December 2016, according to which settlement activity constitutes a “flagrant violation” of international law and has “no legal validity”.
In 1978, the Carter administration concluded that the establishment of civilian settlements was inconsistent with international law but President Ronald Reagan overturned that stance in 1981. Until Obama, administrations recognized that settlement activity could be an obstacle to peace but mostly didn’t get caught up on legal positions.

Trump is a common sense person. The idea that no Jews would be allowed to live in some future Palestinian State and that arrangement would be considered a peace plan was/is absurd. Trump is stating the obvious. Of course Jews have a right to live wherever they want, just like anyone else. Can you imagine the hysterics if Israel proposed peace on the basis of evicting all the Arabs? Insane.

It’s not going to happen. Israel is actually making an effort to uplift the Arabs and integrate them into Israel society: by cracking down on crime in Arab towns, improving their schools, teaching Arabic to all students in Israel. Why? Because Israelis actually want to live in peace with their Arab neighbors. Likewise the only way to peace with the Palestinians is if they want to live in peace with their Jewish neighbors. I feel like I’m stating the obvious but apparently it’s not obvious to a lot of people, namely the Arabs and the Democrats.

Yea to our most gutsy President in the last 50 years. This also should be a nail in the coffin of the BDS movement and a major set back for the Islamic believers now living here who only want to create another holocaust. This POTUS is amazing. I agree that any Jew who supports the Democrats ought to have his head examined. I hope that he wins in 2020 in a landslide as this man has done more to make America great than ………(fill in what you want).

If Israel took over the West Bank and Gaza, eventually the biggest benefactors would be whatever decent people are among the “Palestinians”. The rest would end up in Israeli prison or gone.

I heard this earlier today and thought the opposite, wow! I am proud of Trump. There is no negotiation possible with the groups holding the so called Palestinians captive and propagandized. Nothing short of the complete annihilation of Israel will please them so why even try?

As that organisation is currently composed, I would regard any criticism from from it as a sign that I was doing my job properly, because taking some flak from that house of charity abusers, despots and religious fanatics seems to me like a merit with distinction.
