Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) suggested to CBS News’ Margaret Brennan on Sunday that President Donald Trump needs to prove that he is innocent in the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry. This is contradictory to the U.S. criminal justice system, which is based on the presumption of innocence.
Pelosi, who made the remarks on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” made similar remarks last week while responding to a reporter’s question about the public believing that Democrats are “dead set” on impeaching Trump without looking at all the facts.
“It’s called an inquiry,” Pelosi said on Thursday. “And if the president has something that is exculpatory, Mr. President, that means you have anything that shows your innocence, then he should make that known and that’s part of the inquiry. And so far, we haven’t seen that, but we welcome it. And that’s what an inquiry’s about.”
Pelosi then repeated that sentiment on Sunday in response to Brennan asking her, “Do you think you’ll go through all of this and not vote to impeach the President?”

MARGARET BRENNAN: When you tweeted today, you said Ambassador Yovanovitch was viciously smeared by Trump allies, removed from her post and then threatened by the President. What part of that amounts to an impeachable offense or a crime?
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: Well, there are many things that the President does that are completely out of the question that are not impeachable. And they’re about the election. But when it comes to violating the Constitution of the United States, as he undermines our national security, jeopardizes the integrity of our elections, dishonors his own oath of office, that’s about impeachment.
MARGARET BRENNAN: So the Constitution defines an impeachable offense as treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors.
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: Yes.
MARGARET BRENNAN: What do you think applies to this case?
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: We are unfolding the facts. That’s what an inquiry is about.
MARGARET BRENNAN: You use the term bribery.
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: Yeah, I was translating from the Latin. That – that was in the context of E Pluribus Unum. From many, one. And so I said from many, one. Quid pro quo, bribery. Now that’s what that is. Mm-Hm.
MARGARET BRENNAN: So, but do you expect that to be one of the articles –
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: I have no idea. Well, there is not even a decision made to impeach the President.
MARGARET BRENNAN: Mm-Hm.
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: This is a finding of fact, unfolding of the truth, and then a decision will be made, and that is a decision that goes beyond me.
MARGARET BRENNAN: Well, you point out factually, right, that vote has not taken place to proceed necessarily with impeachment. But do you think you’ll go through all of this and not vote to impeach the President?
REPRESENTATIVE NANCY PELOSI: That remains – the facts, if the President has information that demonstrates his innocence in all of this, which we haven’t seen. His transcript of a phone call is tucked away in a highly sensitive, compartmentalized intelligence server so we can’t see that. If he has information that is exculpatory, that means ex, taking away, culpa, blame, then we look forward to seeing it.

The witch, Pelosi, is leading the witch hunt with her malevolent, corrupt, treasonous coven, the Democratic-Islamic Party. The case of one’s guilt or innocence is up to those of the inquisition, Pelosi et al, to meet the legal criterion to prove the guilt of the President.

Pelosi is now saying anything she can to save herself from
the ignominy of being called to the carpet over her approving this inquiry that
has no basis and cannot even meet the limited requirement of “probable cause.”
So far what the inquiry has determined is that long placed bureaucrats disagree
with the Presidents approach to dealing with foreign policy issues. While they
have the right to their opinions, the buck stops with the President, who
promised to adopt a policy of America first, and it appears to me that policy
required changes in how we deal with the rest of the world. Secondly, there is no
crime, even if he used his influence to request investigations of un-American
conduct, especially potential violations of our Constitution (Emoluments
clause), wherever that takes place in the world. To not recognize that the
Biden’s stepped into a compromising situation that smells bad, is to turn ones
back on the obvious, especially when the Democratic Party was actively involved
in trying to generate negatives about Trump in 2016in the Ukraine and Russia
and wherever. Clearly, the conduct of the Democratic Party is suspect, and this
inquiry has no legitimate basis and is the continuation of that parties
obstructionist conduct, and I expect that when all this is over, it will bite
them in their derriere.

The truth is that Pelosi hasn’t “scrapped” anything. Ever since she lost her leadership of the House to a cabal of Progressive Socialist seditionists, she has been a lost person and even her desperate dreams will not sustain her for long. She talks in vague, nebulous terms about her illusive charges against President Trump but never specifies. The truth is now, easy to see…She really has nothing to charge him with and is frantically flailing around, trying to find something to hang on to in this whole debacle, filled with ironies that she let herself be dragged into by Adam Schiff and the radically anti-American group, which he, temporarily controls. This assault on American justice has been going on for a long time, now and we the people have our share of the blame. In our sleepy acquiescence of personal distractions, we allowed a group of our nation’s outright enemies, within, to think that their moment had finally come and that they had finally succeeded in their one-hundred year gradulist quest to take command of their country and bring down its justice system and Constitution… to subjugate the American people, under a new order. The presence of one man, with vision, on the scene, Donald Trump, has brought all of these subversive elements out, into the open, where we can see them, plainly. Our, now identified enemies, in both major political parties, have exhibited great patience, until the present but are becoming very desperate as they see themselves, being driven out of hiding and exposed for what they are, virulent enemies of the United States and its people, who we complacently allowed to fester and metastasize like a cancer in our presence. They are now, losing their power and it terrifies them but they are still very dangerous.

No facts to the “can’t”…the 22nd states be elected to the Presidency, the VP is not the Presidency.
The amendment prohibits any individual who has been elected president twice from being elected again. Under the amendment, an individual who fills an unexpired presidential term lasting greater than two years is also prohibited from winning election as president more than once. Scholars debate whether the amendment prohibits affected individuals from succeeding to the presidency under any circumstances or whether it only applies to presidential elections.

So Pelosi and the Demonrats have thrown the Constitution out the window. The due process of the law is not allowed for Republicans and conservatives, only for Demonrats and leftists. For those in the light you are guilty until proven innocent, not innocent until proven guilty. The backbone of due process.
There was an alien race in Star Trek the Next Generation called the Cardassians whose laws operated in similar fashion. That is, you were guilty until you could prove your innocence. A very militaristic race whose policies ended with their near obliteration. The same thing or worse would happen to any real society that followed the same path.
