HOUSE DEMS PLOT RO USE IRS TO SUPPRESS CONSERVATIVES

The Oversight Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee was holding a hearing on How the Tax Code Subsidizes Hate. Its theme was removing tax-exempt status from groups it didn’t like.

Democrats on Oversight appeared to be proposing to put the SPLC and its spurious hate lists and maps in charge of tax-exempt status

The Democrats running it didn’t issue a full list of allegedly discriminatory groups they wanted the government to discriminate against, but the Committee’s Twitter list of ‘hate groups’seem to overlap with a list assembled by the Southern Poverty Law Center and curated by Philanthropy Magazine.

The Southern Poverty Law Center’s leadership was recently forced to resign over racism and sexual harassment. Its hate map had inspired a terrorist attack against the Family Research Council in D.C. In the same city where the hearing was taking place, Floyd Corkins had shot Leo Johnson, the African-American building manager, while trying to murder members of the conservative civil rights group.

“Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups. I found them online,” Corkins had told the FBI.

For years now, the hate-filled Leftist propaganda group known as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has defamed my American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), one of the foremost organizations fighting to preserve freedom in America today, as a “hate group.” The smear has been irritating, but ultimately ineffective in stopping our work. Now, however, House Democrats are determined to change that: the Democrat-controlled House Ways and Means Committee has called for stripping tax-exempt status from 60 “hate groups,” including AFDI.

They cannot refute us. They cannot defeat us. They cannot silence us. So they’re determined to destroy us.

This is just the culmination of a systematic attempt to decimate all of our fundraising opportunities, so that we simply wither and die from lack of resources. Because of the SPLC’s libel, we have been banned from Google AdSense, banned from Facebook, and banned from Amazon Smile, which devotes some of Amazon’s proceeds to the charity of your choice, unless it is a charity that is hated by the Left.

That’s not all. While all this has been going on, the SPLC’s stooges in the establishment media have eagerly smeared our good names in the public square. By calling us “hate group leaders,” “bigots” and the like, they have destroyed our reputations, so that good, patriotic but uninformed Americans people are afraid to be associated with us, much less to give to us.

These massive hate machines such as the SPLC, Media Matters, the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and others have tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, of dollars to deploy to spread their lies and defamation. And now the House Democrats are working with these unsavory groups that are using their enormous wealth to target even our smallest contributions, taking away our tax-exempt status so that small contributors can’t even get a modicum of tax relief as they support our efforts. The Democrats are hoping to drive us to ruin.

As if this could stop us. As if that could stop our faith, our fight, or the inevitability of our victory. We are going to fight this, and we are going to win.

But now more than ever, we need your help. We need people with courage, and with a determination to save America as the world’s beacon of freedom. We need patriots who are willing to sacrifice to preserve our freedoms for our children and our children’s children. We need you.

The crisis is more severe than ever. The stakes couldn’t be higher. Even if your donation is only $50 or $75, it will help us in our efforts against authoritarianism and Sharia. No one but AFDI is taking the fight to the enemies of freedom, challenging their steady encroachments on free speech and free expression. How the Tax Code Subsidizes Hate was not about fighting hate. It was hate. This radical hatred is tearing apart the country and destroying the rule of law

House Dems Plot to Use IRS to Suppress Conservatives

“It is important for us to consider how our policies can help reduce hate and violence through any vehicle,” Rep. Danny K. Davis insisted. “Any mechanism, any apparatus, any way that we possibly can.”

The mechanism and apparatus being considered was unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.

The Southern Poverty Law Center had once added a Pennsylvania bar sign to its list of hate groups. It had put an entire Iowa town on its hate map because an online troll had once proposed holding a Neo-Nazi book club there. The SPLC is as qualified to assemble lists of hate groups as Rep. Danny Davis is.

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
