Jewish boy forced to kiss feet of Muslim classmate in Melbourne park

Story continues below advertisementA 12-year-old Jewish seventh grader at Cheltenham Secondary College in Melbourne was forced to kneel down and kiss the shoes of a Muslim classmate, Australian media reported Thursday.The boy was told: Bow down and kiss the feet of the Muslim boy, or face a beating by the nine other boys who circled him in the park. He obeyed and images of the incident were posted on Instagram. No disciplinary action was taken against the boys who were involved in the assault, which took place in a public park.
Australian media also reported a second alleged incident—both took place in 2019—when a 5-year-old Jewish student at Hawthorn West Primary School was called “Jewish cockroach” and was repeatedly tormented by his classmates in the school toilets.
Australia’s Anti-Defamation Commission has sounded the alarm about the “rapidly spreading” crisis of anti-Semitic bullying in Victoria State schools.
Both boys have since left their schools, and the 5-year-old is being home schooled.
The mother of the 12-year-old reported that both Cheltenham Secondary College and the Education Department have denied their responsibility for the shocking and well publicized shoe-kissing incident, because it did not take place on school grounds.
“I took such offense with the Education Department, because there was nothing they did to protect my son at all, at any point in time – that’s what’s cut me up,” the humiliated boy’s mother said.
“Essentially, everyone’s solution to this problem is to send your child to a Jewish day school,” the mother told The Australian Jewish News, but added, “I don’t know. Do we live in a society where we really have to do that in order to be safe?”
The same mother reached out to the parents of the Muslim boy, and they were “horrified.”
One can only imagine how the Muslim family talks about the Jews.
“We sat down, his parents, the two boys and myself, around the table and explained the velocity of [the assault] and what it meant to us as parents as far as building bridges between Jews and Muslims in society and not creating division like that photo does,” the mother said.
One of the boys who watched the shoe kissing in the park later punched the Jewish boy in the face, also bruising his back and cutting the skin of his shoulder. For that, the attacker was suspended for five days, because it took place in a school locker room, which is on school grounds.
Dr Dvir Abramovich, chairman of Australia’s Anti- Defamation Commission, told Daily Mail Australia: “This is a stain on Victoria’s education system that will long endure. Bullying and harassment of Jewish students at public schools is a deeply embedded virus that is reaching pitch-fever and should alarm us all. We are gradually reaching a point of no return.”
“To think that in 2019 Jewish pupils are subjected to violence, verbal insults and taunts, bigoted jokes, social exclusion, demeaning text messages and malicious Facebook posts is heartbreaking,” Abramovich continued. “The kids are shaken and traumatized. Too often, parents are concerned that the anti-Semitic abuse will escalate if they notify the school since their child will become even a bigger target.”
Dr. Abramovich declared that “the ADC stands ready and willing to work with the Victoria government to deal with this sad phenomenon.”
“Sad?” Really? We would have gone with “infuriating,” and recommended a pushback.

Of course this shouldn’t happen and is outrageous but… you need to properly deal with the situation.

I went to the Australian Jewish site, mentioned in this article above, & they explained everything that happened to these 2 boys in more detail & it’s way worse than reported here. It’s so sad, I cried. Especially after reading in detail, on that Australian Jewish site, what the 5 year old had to go through. Please go there & read it. It’s so awful & sad!

I agree with the comments made heretofore, but the underlying problem that constitutes the heinous Islamic mentality will never end unless us “others” and our representatives actively begin responsive conduct that calls out the teachings of the Islamic belief system for what it is: a profoundly immoral, hate infested, dominating philosophy that cannot be ignored and must be rejected affirmatively. Unfortunately, today we are sitting on our hands and doing nothing, as unmeritorious “political correctness” binds those hands. Until us others stand up to those people who continue to represent a clear and present danger to us others, the free world will be subject to continuing inappropriate violence from these mentally disturbed people.

I understand they are here, and I am not suggesting violence unless one must defend themselves appropriately. Nevertheless, the reality is that the Islamic world contains followers who outwardly and actively promote violence against us others, and those among them who do not accept the radicals take no action, even by the written or spoken word to denounce them (probably because of the unmeritorious fear of death as an apostate); therefore, I believe that people who are “others” must speak out and attempt to move the Islamic world to reject the inanity that constitutes their belief systems as it promotes hate and then violence against all others; in an attempt to promote a dialogue that enables the leaders within the Islamic world to reject the preaching of violence. Unless we do that, I fear that down the road the free world will find itself in a repeat of a civil war.

I bet in this situation only AK-47 would be the best self-defense tool when 9 stands against 1. The rest is unrealistic. I am all for the self-defense training. But this is not a case, obviously.
BTW our school shouldn’t become a battle fields.
Parents should sue the school district for allowing it on their territory. I would.

The fact is we have the fight or flight decision- hopefully before being surrounded.
1) So be a well practiced speed + distance runner that can’t be caught.
2 As well be as well trained a fighter that cannot be beat with up to three would be opponents.
3) Have like ability friends to hang with.
4) Be in shape + aware of what’s developing around you at all times.
PS – learn + practice throwing rocks both left + right handed at every opportunity.
It highly develop’s a very coordinated, fast + devastating front cross punch with either hand (if developed enough is a one punch KO)
If enough “missiles” are handy one can drive 9 others away= if you see them coming + accuracy matters.
In the right hands can be deadly at 80 to 100mph with a heavier unit (1/2 – 1lb)out to over 50yds(Mick Dundee w/can of beans).
Also a simple 4ft walking staff 1″ dia – if trained with can handle a small crowd (Ironwood, Hickory or Ash, Rattan etc).

I experienced this situation 1st hand when my 2 daughters were being bullied and physically accosted at school. I went to the school at noon, cornered the rats in the gym and told them I would beat them to a pulp if they didn’t stop. The principal came, (I knew him, he was a pussy), and suggested they all sit down and “talk it out”, which is crap, you don’t reason with cowards and bullies. He told me I just couldn’t walk into a school and make threats. I told him that his policy of allowing bullying didn’t afford any other option. No other adults witnessed my threatening this scum so there was no down side. Then I went to their parent’s homes and told them if their degenerate offspring touched my kids again, I would hospitalize their kids for years. They left my kids alone after that. Mind you, that was 30 years ago. I imagine that now I would be put in a rubber room and given meds (lol). My point being, every parent has a responsibility to stand up and protect their family. I fully understand that the majority of people simply can’t put themselves into an offensive mind set under any circumstance. If that’s the case then hire someone who will confront them on their behalf.

It gives all the disgusting details of what happened to both boys.

I was always taught death before dishonor as a child. Better scars on the body than scars on the soul. Yes, I know my father would have beaten their fathers severely. The boy’s father needs to do some late night “recon” work and just make sure he has an air tight alibi. I understand that some people just cannot bring themselves to exact revenge or confront evil.
