Your contribution supports independent journalism
Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. I find Amy Winehouse’s death highly suspicious. I’ve never known any alcoholics to drink enough alcohol at once to die of alcohol poisoning.
Sadly,… I have. Something eventually happens in the alcoholic brain,.. and they begin to guzzle their drinks,.. to the extreme of blackouts, seizure, and death. Liver cannot process alcohol fast enough, and toxins form.
This is why Fraternities are no longer allowed to use alcohol during a Frat hazing party.
When young many people can succumb to peer pressure to “let go and ‘party hardy” feeling invincible.
This is why that age group is called “young skulls full of mush”.
It seems youth are not instructed as to how alcohol is metabolized with limitations and clearly warned of the dangers = well before drinking age.
SO glad that you posted this, Pam!! I had never really paid much attention to Winehouse – just that she died young and from some sort of substance abuse. But this was SUCH a revelation – and will inspire me to find more of her unique music on YouTube! LOVED her rendition of “Teach Me Tonight!” Such a unique take on that well known pop standard!! Thanks again!!
She literally died of alcohol poisoning. I can’t think of the last time I’ve heard of someone dying of that.
RIP
I learned of Amy when I met YOU (Pamela) in 2009. Shared her music in many happy conversations with my brother who died in 2016. We all knew how things would end with Amy and I knew that my brother did not have long to live also. It’s one of those things and people (like YOU) who you just never forget.
Love Amy Winehouse. She died way too young…. so very talented !
RIP Ms. Winehouse.
